Multi-dose packaging (also known in the industry as "unit dose packaging") creates little envelopes (http://imgur.com/5D5jNMO) for each time an individual needs to take medication. For example, one of those little envelopes has all of medications a person needs to take at 8am & The envelope is printed with the person's name, the day, date, and time to take that envelope of medications. And PharmaHealth also offered home delivery. Sadly, truthfulness is not PharmaHealth's strength. They missed their own promised delivery dates. They didn't make phone calls they promised they'd make. Sure, stuff happens. But ideally if I trust a relative's life to your care you'd be very good at what you do. You'd plan ahead, leaving plenty of time to fix mistakes.Or you'd have contingency plans. PharmaHealth, in my experience, operates more like a poorly run Domino's pizza delivery franchise than a pharmacy who has asked to be entrusted with the lives of medically fragile patients. BTW, PharmaHealth, the number I gave you? That's a google voice number. Google logs everything, it's what they do and they're scarily good at it. When I call you out for claiming you called my google voice number, and you clearly didn't? Don't throw a hissy fit and say I demean you. For the fourth time, the…read morepharmacy refused to fill a prescription leaving me without critical meds and without an alternative option. The first offense happened when I was on Oxycontin after a major motor vehicle accident. The hospital called in a refill the day of my second surgery, CVS refused to fill it for 24 hours because they had declared that I was an addict and had been on the meds too long. Even after showing them my medical records indicating the 29 broken bones, the massive internal injuries, the proof of surgery just hours ago, they instead continued to berate me, repeatedly calling me an addict. I had to go the first 36 hours after major surgery with no pain medication as I could not take any over the counter medications. The most recent was this week when I both spoke to someone over the phone confirming my medication was available and receieved a text just hours before I arrived at CVS indiciating my mediccations were available for pick up. When I arrived, they refused to give me the medication that I cannot be without as it is life threatening to even miss one dose. Their excuse: the prescription expired in two days so even though the medicine was available as of 11:08 am when on the same day, at 6pm they would not give it to me. As this is a controlled substance, I have no other options to get it and they will not even give me an emergency supply. This is a medicine that I have been on for 50 years and rely on, and yet all I got from them was well you will have to go without. If they had told me at 11 am, I would have been able to call my doctor's office and get a new prescription. This pharmacy repeatedly has treated me horribly simply because I rely on controlled substances-no one deserves to be treated the way they have treated me and I have witnessed them treat others simply because a doctor, who understands our overall medical needs, has made a decision to prescribe a controlled substance. We all deserve to be treated with dignity and respect-something this pharmacy repeatedly fails to do.

I have tried local pharmacies and express orders from specialty pharmacies in Boston. Nothing has compared to Walgreens on Purchase St. They answer their phones, are pleasant to speak to and they are extremely efficient. I am now one year seizure free and I can honestly say that I owe it to Odilia and her staff at Walgreens on Purchase St. They put my needs first and make sure I always have my medication in on time (even when they are specialty medication). I can (figuratively) breathe now and I no longer have the stress every month of worrying if I will have my meds on time. It truly has been the biggest relief and in my case, a lifesaver.
