When the pharmacist came over, her facial expression alone made me feel as though I had done something wrong. Her demeanor and lack of customer service were disappointing. I asked if she could recommend something for my 14-year-old who was experiencing flu-like symptoms, and all she said was "Tylenol." She did not ask a single follow-up question about his symptoms, nor did she direct me to the appropriate aisle. I'm glad I didn't rely on her advice because I went to another aisle myself and found something more appropriate for his symptoms. My point is this: when working with the public whether as a cashier or a pharmacist professionalism is essential. You chose this career, knowing it involves interacting with customers.
