The store on Broadway in Massapequa, NY has always been a complete disaster. Ever since Victor began working here, it's a new place. He is happy, friendly, and more than willing to help- ALWAYS. He busts his butt to make sure the customer experience is excellent and it's important to me that CVS and the store managers hear that. Too often are people quick to report the negatives. The pharmacy is an absolute nightmare, constantly making mistakes and closed for lunch, I've never heard of such a thing in my life, here's a suggestion, rotate shifts so you don't need to close and everyone gets their well deserved lunch break. Not a bad CVS, but not as nice as some other Long Island locations. But I guess if they have what you need, when you need it it's a win. Another plus is if you're in the mood to purchase a curling iron, a hershey bar, toothpaste, preparation H, condoms, nail polish, a bag of pork rinds, some dog food, watch batteries, print a few photos from your smartphone, a can of chunky soup, ex-lax, a college ruled notebook, a stuffed animal, some playing cards, tylenol, a stapler, tampons and any other miscellaneous item you can possibly think of, there is a good chance that CVS carries it in stock........so as far as I'm concerned, that's a win anyway you look at it. Bonus tip - if you visit very late in the evening the are usually only a few other folks in the store which means no crowded isles and no wait when checking out. read more

The pharmacy at CVS is so busy now, their one wall of prescriptions has evolved to about three walls. There is always a line. It is what it is, but what prompted me to write this review is their automated service. There is no option for new prescriptions, so if you are not refilling your prescription and therefore do not have a prescription number you cannot check the status unless you speak with someone. I was on hold for 52 minutes before I hung up. No one ever picked up. I called the actual location and spoke with someone at the main desk who had no resolution but tried to transfer me to the pharmacy where my call again went unanswered. If you are not going to pick up your customers who are on hold for long periods of time, it is probably best not to have your recording repeatedly recommend other services CVS offers every 30 seconds. That did nothing but frustrate an already frustrated customer, who isn't feeling well and just trying to get medicine. read more

I usually go to this CVS if I need something quick. But I'm never going back. There is a sales associate there who is a creep. She is an older lady with black hair and legit was standing over my shoulders the whole time and at the self check out. She was watching me as if I was a thief meanwhile all I went in for was shampoo and conditioner. I even turned around and asked "is there a problem?" And she just continued to stand over me as I finished checking out. I felt so uncomfortable I'm NEVER returning to this location. Never in my life have I been watched like that in a store for no reason. Im offended. What a weirdo. read more

The absolute worst. Every refill is a battle with them. Unbelievably awful customer service.

Not sure why I have bothered to come back here, but after these 2 incidents, nope, not returning to this CVS ever again; - (this was pre covid 2020) I had stopped off at a CVS while out in Suffolk county (west islip?) & purchased Almay make up wipes. I come home & what's in the mail? CVS coupons including a coupon for Almay. I stupidly came to this CVS where I was told by the cashier that he couldn't do a coupon adjustment & that I should go back to the original CVS. After I requested the manager, then my request was begrudgingly accommodated... so 5 hours after my purchase, I should go back "to the original CVS" that's how far away to get my $3 back? I mean, you're a CVS, right? My purchase was made in a CVS, right? Sorry but that is ridiculous to actually say to a customer. - (this was August 2020) I was denied using extra bucks with a mfg coupon (Even after the mfg coupon & extra bucks, I still would've owed money). Also let me note, the cashier had air pods in. I didn't even bother to ask for a manager. I never got an answer as to why all of a sudden I can't use a mfg coupon with extra bucks & who really allows an employee to wear air pods while working/interacting with customers??? If you're a couponer & you value your time, STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS CVS! I know I'm done with this shitty location & from now on, I'll go out of my way to go to the farmingdale or Levittown (on Hempstead tpke) locations. read more

This CVS is always a disaster. They make you use the self check-out. Always a problem (the item is too small or light-weight to register, etc) A sales associate has to stand there to help so why not just allow us to go to the counter. They simply do not hire enough people. There was only one person behind the counter (they have at least 4 registers). She was trying to figure out how to use a coupon for another customer. I waited over 5 minutes to be rung up but had to leave to catch a train, so I bought nothing. They need to be aware of the fact that they are located right next to a train station and people are pressed for time. Also, the store appearance is dirty and messy. read more

DO NOT USE THE PHARMACY AT THIS CVS!! A nasal spray that was prescribed for me cost me $62.99 here. My friend who had the same exact thing prescribed to her paid $17.99 at a CVS in Port Jeff. I called when I found this out and was told it was the contracted rate with Oxford. I complained to Oxford and they told me that it is the contracted rate at this particular CVS but each CVS is different. That is is difference of $45!!! I've been using this location for 2 years and I will never go back. What a rip off!! read more

One of the most inconvenient stores I've ever had the displeasure of shopping in. Every single time I've been here, there has been a long line. They have at least 7 registers on location, yet at most 2 employees will be in attendance at a time. I often have to drop by here while on the run, and this pharmacy holds me up--and never fails to do that! To be fair, they have the products I personally look for, but it's borderline not even worth it if I'm going to be held up. CVS management, please fix this ridiculous issue. You have enough employees on premises to remedy this issue. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. After just losing my father and trying to get photos onto either a disc or usb for his wake. An employee named KATIE rudely explained that it wasn't possible to do. ( meanwhile the funeral director said everyone goes to cvs to do it) She Did not hear out what I was trying to do and rudely ripped the USB disc out of my hand and proceeded to not only help someone else but completely ignore us. And said have a nice day. These employees need to be re trained in customer service skills or not be able to be employed. Whoever is the manager needs to review Katie's position and employment. The way we were treated was disgusting. Will NEVER return again. Side note: the whole store stinks of MOLD and mildew my aunt had a bad allergic reaction after leaving. read more

This is the worst pharmacy ever. I had a prescription that they told me was $70. I then presented them with a coupon and they put it through... All of a sudden it went up to $120. And that makes sense how? They then tell me it's because I didn't activate the coupon which is the pharmacists job to do. So niw they can't get my script back to the first price. I leave my # for them to call me... No one calls me. I have my doctor call the same script into Stuarts up north broadway. Not only did the coupon work rigjt away without activation ... Worst CVS ever- always a line - counter help is extremely slow and place never has anything.

Just called to speak to the pharmacist about a medication I was taking. I felt this medication was having some adverse effects and needed to know from a professional if I was right. Unfortunately, I had to hang up after being on hold for 10 minutes. I decided to call CVS (Target) and I was speaking to a pharmacist within 30 seconds! She answered all my questions, suggested I call my pain management doctor because based on my symptoms, I was most likely having a reaction to the codeine in the Tylenol. This is not the first time I've been treated unprofessionally by a pharmacist at this location. read more

Normally I enjoy a visit to CVS. Good prices, pleasant surroundings, nice checkers. However, CVS is starting to get me annoyed. It seems lately they NEVER have any stock on their sales items. I went to 3 different CVS stores this week to get the Diet Dr. Pepper they had on sale. NOT ONE BOTTLE ON THE SHELVES OF 3 DIFFERENT STORES! WTF? My experience with CVS Massapequa has been very good, but it seems to depend on who you deal with. Christina is a very kind and caring pharmacist. There is another tech there who works the evening shifts (I don't know her name but she has black and white straight hair and she is thin - that's my best description- she knows who I am talking about), she really knows what she is doing and is also kind and caring, as are many of the workers in that pharmacy. They should let her run the place - she will whip the couple of slackers into place. The pharmacy staff went far beyond what was expected to help me. Yes, there are some who probably don't know what they are doing, but if they can't help, ask to speak to someone who can help you. Many of the faults lie with the management, not the pharmacists and the technicians in that department. The store itself is unorganized and if not for the great people who work at the pharmacy, I would not go there. But they have won over my business for now. read more
