She was incredibly thorough and discussed all options with me, used a model to show me what I couldn't understand, and made me feel heard, seen, and valued. They even checked and did find my phone number in their call logs, proving that I had set up the appointment. To add insult to injury, they charged me for the co-pay, claiming "the insurance company won't let us waive this." At another appointment, I had to leave after waiting in vain for 50 minutes. I have chronic fatigue, and was too weak to continue waiting. When I politely asked the reason for the delay, the staff had an attitude about it. I was also charged a co-pay for that day even though I was not seen. Some months later,, Dr. Pezzella scheduled a follow up appointment--to tell me that there was nothing further they could do for me. They didn't help me, and again charged me a co-pay for that appointment --to tell me they couldn't help me! The receptionist told me that Dr. Pezzella asks her to book four 15- minute appointments per hour--the appointments always go longer, and she is always running late. Their concern is not Patient Care, it's money, and they pack as many appointments daily as possible. You will NEVER be seen on time, and will OFTEN wait as long as 30 minutes or more to be seen. If you question this, you will be told "we are a specialty practice, and this is normal for a specialty practice." Except it isn't--I see 3 other medical specialists, and never wait more than 10 to 15 minutes to be seen.

Gas prices are volatile these days, but this store's prices are in line with others nearby, and Columbia has cheaper gas than Charleston. The convenience store is not big inside but the coffee area is clean, and I got a cup for the road. I noticed the Froster machine was down, but maybe they turn it off during cooler months. The station takes the Sip-and-Save rewards if you're a member of the drink program.

It seems, especially as of late the car wash is out of order more often than not. In the past corporate has been very helpful and even refunded my monthly subscription price. This most recent time, someone called me, but when I tried to call them back and email them I got no response. I have to say that's the final straw. I really like their healthy salads & sandwiches. For vitamins & face products i use their other store on Rosewoodd Also on sundays in both stores, seniors receive 10% off. I do not have a car; so this mini mkt is a 20 minute walk compared to the larger stores which is abt 1'1/2 hr walk.

The letter is the same every year the only thing that's changes is the amount that is added. We are moving our Mother out because of this and also the uncaring and very matter-of -fact way management has handle this. The staff is good ... However the management is very misleading. So if you have a set amount of money you can afford DO NOT put a loved one here. They will keep raising the price every year. My mom had been there 3 years and there has been 3 price increase . The first increase only 3 months after me moved her in, and then every December since.

Prior to the shift, the store was clean, well-stocked, and the perfect place for my morning stop. However, in the past few weeks, it has gone downhill considerably. I have stopped several times to find they were out of cups for the fountain machine, or long lines that I simply did not have time to wait in. I can forgive this, but it has been constant. Today, for example, I stopped in for a drink and a breakfast bar to find no ice in the machine. I was disappointed, but opted for a bottled drink instead. I made it to the front of the line after waiting for 5-7 minutes, only to find that the credit and debit machines were down. This visit was the last straw for me. They wasted my time for the last time today. On a side note - I don't typically order from the grill, but I saw a rather large cockroach run behind the counter during a previous visit. From the outside you would have no idea they have a full service kitchen offering quite an array of southern style food and general convenience store selection. They're famous for their hot dogs and with good reason. Go for a slaw dog if that's what you like, but if not just throw some chili on it and enjoy one of those unique pink dogs that make em world famous at the Village Store. They also have some new things like chicken on a stick that offers a surprising combination of tastes to enjoy. Their biscuits are made from scratch daily so go enjoy one of their breakfast items too. If all you want is cold beer then they've got quite the selection in their walk-in beer cave. With some of the cheapest gas prices in the area, the Village Store is definitely a one-stop-shop that you shouldnt pass by.
