The lady in the pharmacy with the name Zain is by far the rudest person I have ever came in contact with. I came to pick up my child's prescription on Monday at 6:55 that was called in and I was told they were closed to come back tomorrow after 10. I come back on Wednesday and go through the drive through and the same lady tells me to come back in 20 min. I told her I'd wait at the window and she told me she will not start on it until I drive away. I go in the inside and she then refuses to fill the script because I don't have the insurance card with me. I have used CVS for over 10 years and never have I dealt with someone so rude and nasty! When do you have to see the card to fill a script? what if I was self pay? CVS you should be ashamed of yourself for hiring people like this! read more

You can't make an appointment online for a novavax vaccine. The CVS website states that you can walk into any CVS ... apparently not this one. Notices posted at the back. Empty store for a reason. No vaccines available whatsoever because their manager let everything expire. I guess this is what medical care looks like with CVS. Shameful. I guess if the manager doesn't believe in vaccines, the people they are supposed to be serving won't have vaccines. read more

Pharmacy staff is very rude, particularly one lady. I recognize they have been short staffed for a while now. Some new employees are under training. But when a trained, seasoned pharmacist comes on and says "what do you want" is just rude and them to pawn off saying "new employee is still under training" doesnt work. Clearly I wasn't there to waste time, so next time what should I say when the experienced one comes to the window and asks, "what do you want"? She's always rude and disrespectful. All vaccines they had had expired Went for flu/Covid vaccines. Website said No appointment necessary. Not true!

The pharmacy needs help! Corporate pay attention! The individuals working there work hard, and it's not enough. Theyre burned out. The pharmacy drive through is down often. the hours constantly change and my prescriptions were almost never ready on time. I'm moving pharmacies today, but I feel this is a sense of relief not a worry with the volume this place can't handle. read more

The coupons and rewards that come from the CVS app and that you can use in store are often very good. However, this store couldn't get the rewards that were downloaded in the app to apply at the checkout. The checker did her best to try to assist including trying to override the price of an item manually. But she needed the Managers help (Max? Maybe) to try and figure out why the app and coupons weren't processing. All the manager did was ask her a few questions and look at my phone app to confirm the discounts were in fact loaded on my app. Then he simply said he couldn't help and that if their coupons aren't applying from their app then there's nothing he could do. I was confused to say the least. How about just manually overriding the purchase price for those items where the coupons weren't applying (there were only two of a total of three items being purchased that needed adjustments)? Then figure out the app issues later. I guess he didn't want to take the extra three minutes it would have taken to make thing right. To bad. I won't be shopping at that store location anymore. Really, how much effort does it take to correct an obvious error and make your customer whole and happy? It doesn't pay to have a lazy manager in this difficult environment. read more

If you live near this location I highly recommend using another location near you. This CVS is in desperate need of help. They are very short staffed which forces these poor employees to close down the drive through pick up window, extremely long lines and wait times for prescriptions. Hello, I just wanted to take the time to write a review about the CVS store and pharmacy in Leawood. It is located at 135 th and Briar. All of the associates are so very kind and so very helpful. I always enjoy walking into that store. Secondly and most importantly, although I know that they get so very busy in the pharmacy, the Pharmacy Techs, are always making the time to recognize you, and are so very kind and courteous. The worst. Ie- call in scripts. Supposed to be ready Thursday at noon. I get texts my prescriptions are ready please pick up. Stand in line for 30 minutes on Friday night. Get to front. I have been a customer of this CVS pharmacy for over 18 years. I had the worst customer experience with the pharmacist today. I had a question about two prescriptions. He did not complete helping me with the first prescription. Then I asked the cashier for help with another one which I wanted to get help with an over the counter version. She went back to him. He said I had to have a prescription - which I do- then came around the counter and slammed the bottle on the counter. No explanation. No price. No help. She had to look up price. Unbelievable. I was in need of a pre-travel COVID test for emergency travel abroad. I scheduled it 3 days in advance. Up until 10 minutes before the scheduled test, I was receiving text notifications from CVS of my upcoming appointment. When I arrived at the location, I was told at the drive through window that their system had just crashed and they could not do any further testing. I was shell-shocked because I was scheduled for travel within 2 days, and needed the result back in time before departure. I politely asked if they could schedule me at a different location. My request was promptly denied and I was told "we can do nothing about it". I sighed and parked in the pharmacy lot and tried looking up online for a different CVS location that could let me schedule a test for the same day, but I wasn't able to schedule one despite availability since I was still scheduled to get the test at this location! I walked into the pharmacy to request them to cancel my appointment so I could schedule an appointment at a different location, but they said they couldn't! At this point, I politely voiced my impatience, but was curtly asked to "tone down" by the pharmacist, who repeated that they were gonna do "nothing about it". A friend of mine was in a similar situation 2 weeks ago when the same CVS location simply canceled his COVID vaccine appointment at the last minute. On top of everything, the pharmacy staff came across as extremely unprofessional with absolutely no sympathy for my situation. I will never go back at this location, and would recommend no one else does. read more

It was a bit comical (and unfortunate) to read the very long 1 star review for this location. I mean, who expects CVS (or Walgreens) to be anything other than a boring stop for items we need, but don't necessarily care about? I feel like all the employees of these places are interchangeable. Friendly enough, but with almost no personality, helpful enough, but not proactively so, busy enough, but not aware enough to move to the checkout counter before you do. read more

Esther and Trinity do such a kick ass job. All through the pandemic they've busted their butts, and put their heart and soul into everything they do. When Adam was in charge of the pharmacy things were rough, you can see a physical and mental change since Jon has come in. All the employees are happy and cheerful regardless of how hectic things are around them. I will always come here for my prescriptions. These people need a raise! read more

Super friendly and knowledgeable staff ... Everyone says hello when you come in the door. The pharmacists and techs are honest, helpful and always at least try to take your request. If they cannot, it's never, in my experience, been their fault. Nicely laid out with plenty of necessities well stocked. Great store :) read more

I generally like this CVS, the pharmacists are good and I get all my prescription drugs and beauty products from this store. But today was a bitter day for me. Yesterday I had gone in for the flu shot that they are widely advertising. Because their server was down, they couldn't get my insurance done. They took down all the details and told me if they are able to get the insurance done (if their servers were up and running), they will give me a call. They did call me today noon and I went down to get my flu shot. So far, so good. I went in to get the shot today at 4:45 pm, gave my ID and insurance. They had to run everything again (I really don't know why) and they made me wait close to an hour!!! I just kept waiting and waiting and waiting. I kept asking them if there was anything wrong but they were like, 'no everything is fine, we are just getting the paperwork done'. I mean how long does it take to get paperwork done... it's just a flu shot not a refinancing loan... I had to reschedule my Pilates class today because of flu shot. Please do yourself a favor and get the flu shot somewhere else. read more

Store Manager back stabs and treats new employees as well as customers horribly. There's some sort of beef between Store Manager and her District Manager. Store Manager is fake. Will be nice to your face and then call you expletive names behind your back with other employees. Loyal customers keep up with the drama in this store and make sure to fill in new employees of its high turnover rate. Pretty sure a seasoned manager is doing price overrides for friends and family...and they get away with it because they have another cashier do the price adjustments for them. Abuse of authority and general unprofessionalism. HR should really dig deep at this store and consider firing certain individuals. Maybe the district manager should do her due diligence and fire the store manager. read more

Ok, so.. I just tried to return something without a receipt ($6 makeup bag, shame on me for not keeping the receipt, I worked in retail for 10+ years, I know..) however, the experience I had after I was told my merchandise wasn't from CVS (it says CVS SKU on the tag) is borderline offensive as well as comical. I proceeded to tell the man at the counter I would return with a receipt, put the makeup bag in my very small purse and went to grab some items I needed. I was in cosmetics when I noticed the same man who "helped" me at the counter pretending to check items on the same aisle I was in. I moved a few aisles down and what do you know, there he is again! At this point I knew what he was doing so I went along with it. I journeyed over to pharmacy to pick up some allergy meds with my new shadow observing from the same aisle on the other side of the store. I then went to the grocery section to grab some coffee. Of course my little friend wasn't too far away, which was great because I needed pricing on something that had no label. You could tell he was rattled when I approached him and asked him to check it for me. He returned and told me the price, then asked if I still wanted to purchase it (at which point I wanted to reply 'nah, I'll just shove it in my tiny purse once you walk away..' but I refrained.) I then went to checkout. At this point I was a little fed up. I asked the man checking me out if it was procedure to follow people who tried to do a return with no receipt. You could tell my question caught him off guard. He responded with "oh no he was just checking prices over there (pointing to cosmetics)" which he probably regretted making up for an answer when I told him I had been to pharmacy as well as groceries with this man basically on my back. At the beginning of my transaction, the customer that had been rang up before me walked out the door and the security sensor alarm went off. No one batted an eye. What do ya know, after checking out (paying for all of my items-shocking!!!) I walked out to have the alarm go off. You would have thought I was robbing a bank. I heard both men shout "ma'am" so I poked back in and innocently asked if they would like to deactivate what I had just paid for. The man behind the counter snatched my bag, ran it over the deactivation pad, which beeped, and handed me my bag back. No apology. I should have taken off running when the alarm went off just to rattle them a little more. Moral of my rant- I hope somehow the manager of this location sees this review. I understand the idea behind what happened. I used to have to do it in my previous managerial role in retail. However, I was a little less obvious (and insulting) about it. And I usually only did it when someone tried to return something over $300. Not a $6 makeup bag. I will return tomorrow after I call the corporate number (which I was given by the store I originally paid at) to get my receipt information. It will be my last trip to this location. Which is unfortunate, because I literally live across the street and I will be sure to go out of my way to be helped at another location. read more
