Called yesterday to get some prescriptions transferred from a different pharmacy due to a move. The woman that I spoke with was very nice and helpful. Called today because my doctor emailed me at 8:30am stating she had faxed my prescriptions to the pharmacy so I wanted to call and be sure they were being filled and ask when they would be ready. The male that answered the phone insisted I wasn't in the system after only checking my date of birth and not even asking my name. I told him I was because I called yesterday and she found me. He then checks again, asks my name, still insists I'm not in the system, I tell him how to spell my name and he says I am listed at another location so "he was right". Then he keeps telling me that he has no prescriptions for me. I continually have to tell him that my doctor sent them over as he sits there silently. I state again that my doctor faxed them and I'm confused as to why he doesn't know where they are and he finally finds them then says they should be ready by 6pm (it's currently 10am). I repeat "ok so if I come there at 6pm they will be ready to pick up?" he says "they should be". I thank him and he just hangs up. Sir, if you hate your job so much please get a new one. Most of the other negative reviews are due to this man's rudeness so maybe CVS needs to take notice and hand him a pink slip. I only gave 2 stars because the woman yesterday was nice. Fast and friendly pharmacy is open 24 hours large parking lot. We really enjoy it. We go out of our way just to come to this specific location. It's just amazing except for the lock up their liquor so if I want a nice Michelada, I've gotta ask them to open up the freezer that's unfortunate. I was told he couldn't scan my items because I "wasn't a loyalty customer," even though I did have a loyalty number available to use. When I asked if his role was just to stand there and watch me check out, he responded that yes, that's what he does and added that if I "understood retail," I would get it. The interaction felt dismissive and condescending rather than helpful. Customer service should involve explaining policies respectfully and assisting customers, not talking down to them. Called in advance to get my prescription refilled and was told after holding for 7-8 minutes the process would take an hour an a half for two medications. I've been a long time customer of CVS pharmacies and have never been asked to wait over 30 minutes for a refill my app told me was in the system. After about an hour and a half I made the trek to the drive thru window to be told, after waiting again for someone to assist me that it wasn't ready and might require another hour and thirty. The pharmacist seemed super tired, cranky, and unapologetic. With the hopes of taking advantage of a 24/7 drive thru CVS, I was disappointed by my experience and will not be back to this location. I've decided to do myself a favor by switching pharmacies to Walgreens. The final straw for me was my husband attempted to pick up my prescriptions that had been ordered by St. Joseph hospital on a Friday afternoon. I had surgery that morning. He was told by the pharmacists , they did not have the prescriptions available & he had no info as to when they could be expected. I booked a few Covid tests online since this was the only location available for the day that was chosen. We waited in the drive thru line for over 30mins until the lady finally received her meds. When it was our turn, we presented our ID and confirmation codes. She gave us our test and told us to park and then return the tests to the white box. Really? The swab takes about 15 seconds in each nostril yet we had to pull over after waiting in line for over 30minutes. Ridiculous. The line got even longer. My uncle just walked the tests over and dropped it in the box in between the window and a car. Why would we wait another 2 hours for the 4 cars that suddenly got in line. Anywhos, we received our results the next evening via text message to a link. I would never come here again for prescriptions, tests or vaccines/boosters. If you plan too, be prepared to show up early or at least hope no one is in line before you. read more

Just terrible!! Stay far away!! Never had issues with any other pharmacy in my entire life. Incompetent and irresponsible. They don't offer to help when other CVS location does, just might take additional phone call to their supplier to order correct medication which Lakewood CVS wouldn't do. Tacoma CVS is doing it for me. Lakewood CVS filled it with wrong manufacture, also filled it with brand by mistake the other time I went to pick it up. 2 mistakes, one medication. New manufacturer caused side effects so I needed to go back to original manufacturer which I've been getting from CVS for the entire time. I called pharmacist to explain. At first pharmacist said they couldn't take medication back but after I explained that my insurance won't cover another supply she said she would. Oh and this is after they took 7 days to fill the script request I called in and after me calling them 5 days in asking for an update to be told "no one has worked on this yet, we are short staffed". She made me come in in-person before she would reverse the insurance claim, which caused further delay to getting my medication. Then said it will take 2 days to transfer a script because their fax has been broken for 3 weeks. Pharmacist only offered to expedite it after I called her out in person about how 2 days is a delay in access to my medication. They can't fill it there but will take 2 days to transfer it? How is that ethical? These are medications, people's health at stake. Unethical and run around, like other reviews mentioned. I will be making a formal corporate complaint on their customer relations website! Never will go there again! I am on numerous cardiac medications in addition to many others. due to my ever changing condition my medications are frequently being changed. all the medications must be given through a feeding tube so it is necessary we know whether they come in liquid or can be crushed, due to this special need the RpH Shonna, has been very thorough in going over instructions, catching meds ordered that can't be given by feeding tubes and alerting us to meds that are not compatible due to interactions. She also is helpful in securing the best cost coupon due to the exceedingly high cost of a few of my meds. My wife and I cannot thank her enough!! Cvs Pharmacy, Gravelly Lake: I called the pharmacy tonight as someone who needed help; relocated from out-of-state 3 weeks ago. I had questions that were typical to ask with a serious infection...inquired about medicine used to treat a VERY uncomfortable condition that's embarrassing to discuss! My insurance has a two week lapse because I was just hired on, which doesn't matter...however I was spoken to in a demeaning way and the pharmacist let me know I have to have a prescription for the antibiotic I was asking about in an abrupt, rude tone. I wanted to know if I could pay out of pocket for an antibiotic I recently had prescribed. He offered no information to me, as someone who is in pain, without my normal doctors, and completely new to the area. I was hoping for advice and consult. I tried to continue the conversation and was given short scoffing answers. I believe I was being judged for the medicine I was asking about. In no way did I expect him to wave a magic wand and create the prescription for me, however advice and politeness would have been much appreciated. I read online that certain places sell this antibiotic over the counter. I was surprisingly spoken down to by someone I would expect to be informative and helpful when I told him the "incorrect" information I had read about. Again, I was trying to ASK for help-- surprised the pharmacist showed no kindness and compassion. I'm a teacher who has health insurance, when my new coverage for my new job begins in this state. It stinks that I don't have coverage for two weeks. This "professional" is the first individual to disappoint me with the condescending and abrupt words he used. Typically when a customer calls with a hardship, a pharmacist educates them on the medicine or at least gives other recommendations for temporary relief. They are usually polite and informative. In the healthcare setting people should be empathetic, especially to someone calling to hear information on a vulnerable topic...pharmacists can typically be spoken to about uncomfortable conditions. This review relates to the pharmacy, which is easily the least competent, most obnoxious, and even dishonest it's ever been my displeasure to deal with. Among other horrors, they sent my prescription to the wrong address. It was a perishable prescription, so three months worth of medication was lost. I visited around 2 a.m. after my baby was discharged from the ER. The pharmacist was friendly and knowledgeable. The doctor at the ER prescribed a pill for my baby. The pharmacist suggested a dissolving tablet or liquid form instead--because they'd be easier for the baby to take--and even called the doctor himself to make the change. I am so grateful that he went above and beyond to take care of us after such a stressful night. read more

The worst sh$t show pharmacy that I've ever been to. I cringe when target CVS is closed. Tonight is the crap sprinkles on the multi layer crap cake. I used this location because target was closed. After dropping off, they called me and said that my insurance was invalid and asked if I was sure had the same insurance. Yes, I'm sure .I told them Aetna changed to name brand meds, They're Aetna's preferred pharmacy. So return next day I picked up my hard copy script and headed to Target .Target calls me and says they don't stock it, but they will order for me. & it will be in Tuesday/ today .Target pharmacist apologizes asking if I got a call ,because she's been gone and there have been temp pharmacists and it wasn't ordered. Target told me this CVS store had my script in stock, even called and had someone physically check just in case the inventory was wrong. Target told them I had my hard copy would be coming over and asked if there would be any issues if she sent me to get it.She told me, it's there and shouldn't be a problem. I head over an hour later, wait in drive thru for 8 minutes pull up to find they closed the drive thru with a taped sign after the car ahead of me. I go in,wait to be greeted ,then I'm greeted with a serious Stank face ," your wait will be 3-4 hours ,there are like 40-50 ahead of you." Not saying stank face is lying but I'm the only person in the pharmacy area and 2 other customers in whole store . I say "honestly I'm not surprised" " I always have issues here" I walk away, then I decide to come back and ask why they didn't tell target there was a 4 hour wait?? The male pharmacist proceeds to tell me that no one called there from Target So (I'm a liar apparently ).I disagree and tell him that I heard the target pharmacy phone call. Male then asks my name, I answer. He says he's the only one that answered the phone ."Oh, so they did call? Then Stank face says loud and rude AF "regardless, your script will be ready in 4 hours". Hands down rudest pharmacy ever. Conclusion... Text scripts are ready multiple times when they aren't. Then act puzzled that you showed up Always a several hour wait in an empty drive thru & store. Repeatedly out of stock. Unfriendly customer service that you would expect at a fast food place in Spanaway. Close drive thru with taped sign on multiple occasions. Given multiple chances ,only because a drive thru should be convenient. Don't waste your time, they will hands down 100% disappoint. read more

The auto dialer service at the pharmacy texted me ONCE to tell me our prescription was ready, but my wife didn't pick it up. My wife still had medicine, so she waited, and she lost track of the days. Did cvs send us another text and tell us they were going to take her medication off the shelf? No. We drive there to pick up her medication and the lazy ass pharmacy tech tells us it'll be ready tomorrow morning. At Walgreen's they will fill it while you wait, but these lazy people at cvs won't even look away from their computer screen at you when they tell you to come back. CVS called to get my prescriptions transferred and they only sent a few. CVS has had to call now 3 times to get a complete list of my prescriptions. CVS have been more than helpful and they actually remember me when I walk in after just a couple weeks unlike Rite AID after 2 years they still didn't remember me and I have thousands of dollars in prescriptions. We were customers at Rite Aid for years. When the new CVS location opened up we switched. I have had nothing but a great experience. The CVS app is fantastic for keeping track of all our prescriptions and the auto refill feature has worked well for us. The Pharmacists I have dealt with each time have been attentive and helpful. I love that this location is open 24 hours. We are very happy overall with the transition. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I've ever been to. I'm only using cvs because of my insurance. Every pharmacist I've seen here ( I've seen three) I have been terrible. The. Older white gentlemen has an attitude when you ask for your prescription. The older Indian gentleman also has an attitude and sighed heavily when I said I was only trying to fill one of my prescriptions. And the last lady I saw today would not answer the drive thru I was sitting at the drive thru for 15 minutes and no one came to the window once. When I went inside there was only one man sitting and waiting for his prescription. This CVS is NEVER busy there is no excuse for these employees behavior. If I could offer a ZERO star I would. Approached the pharmacy counter at 0800 A.M, .. slow time..Friday 4/5/19. Mr. Pharmacist...sat on his azz..at the terminal he was on back away.from the CUSTOMER SERVICE counter... and did NOT move to greet me THE COSTUMER at the arrival counter. I had been exceeding ill from pneumonia..raw throat voice from coughing so much, ... self evident hoarse voice and essentially lost voice... He had no awareness of hippa regulations for privacy... offered no discrete dialog...as a few others were inside the store... I needed information on( if as the contractors or my Aetna health insurance..) if they can provide respiratory equipment and had prescriptions ready. He wanted the CONFIDENTIAL info ..name, DOB, etc to access that request....all the while ..staged back away from the CUSTOMER service counter...and remained at the computer terminal ..approx. 20 feet back. This required a raised and projecting voice for that distance...( they do not offer the equipment) and RX was not available. Total disengagement from service. Total oblivion to courtesy. Requested to know if the prescriptions had been sent to the older Target store CVS location.. big sigh... as they would require more effort to offer even a minimalist amount of effort to inquire... COMPLETE customer service failure... worst I have ever had at ANY PHARMACY in my life. WORST! read more

I scheduled a COVID vaccine appointment and for some reason my name didn't register. The pharmacy manager was very rude despite me having the schedule confirmation in my phone. Instead of placing my phone in my outstretched hand he placed it rudely on the counter inches from my hand numerous times and also since they couldn't find my registration they asked me to reschedule even though the clerk in the front assured me they are doing walk-ins. Tell pharmacist tech that the website is buggy and have the confirmation open but he rudely informs me that since I cancelled an appointment at another store it cancelled out there too and told me to wait another hour and a half for the next appointment despite it being before my original appointment time?????? CVS has always been my go to pharmacy. I have remained loyal to them over the years because the level of service has always met my expectations even on busy days. The experience I've had with this location in Lakewood, WA is far more than disappointing. I am in WA for an extended period of time so I had to ask my MD to transfer my RX to the nearest pharmacy, he did just that from his office. They out right refused to fill the RX first via text citing insurance limitations. I called and after an extremely long hold I was able to explained to AMY that I do not fill through my insurance. I use my GoodRX coupon for this particular RX. She acknowledged and took the GoodRX info and said the EX would be available in 3 days. Cool, so 3 days later after I didn't hear from CVS via my text notifications I called and got Amy again. Amy processed to tell me she can't fill the RX because it does not "fit" within the normal limits that they see at that pharmacy. I explain to Amy that my MD prescribes medications based on individual patients needs not based on the limits for their particular location. Again, Amy refuses to fill it until my MD, who sent the RX in, approves the dosage. I call my MD back in GA for help. He calls and approves the RX he sent to CVS. CVS responds by sending me a text saying they cannot fill my RX do to insurance limitations, again I do not fill through my insurance. I respond by calling to clarify and to give CVS the GoodRX details again (the same details I gave Amy days ago) the guy who answered got my info, put me on a long hold, then came back to the phone to tell me he can't help me now because he is understaffed and has a million things going on. The CVS guy called back about 20 minutes later to confirm that my MD had called and gave them the all clear to fill my RX but he can't fill because they are now OUT OF MY MEDICATION. I am beyond pissed! CVS seriously someone needs to retrain this staff. read more

I tried getting a flu vaccine. A sign on the front door as well as on their website states walk-ins welcome. I got turned away and was told to make an appointment. I made an appointment. When I showed up for my appointment, I was turned away and told to reschedule without explanation. Why would I reschedule just to get turned away for a third time?
