I am beyond frustrated and appalled by the incompetence at CVS Pharmacy. I was explicitly promised that my prescription, ordered on Saturday the 21st, would be ready no later than Tuesday the 24th. That commitment was not honored. As of today, it is still not ready. What is even more unacceptable is the complete lack of communication. I have left multiple phone messages and sent emails, and not a single call has been returned. No explanation. No accountability. Nothing. This level of unprofessionalism and apparent lack of training is alarming -- especially when people's health depends on timely access to medication. Delays without communication are irresponsible and unacceptable. Patients deserve reliability, transparency, and basic respect. This pharmacy has failed on all counts. read more

I was just treated like a door mat at the Ladera Ranch CVS where I have spent thousands of dollars over the last 7 years and never returned anything until tonight (for a whopping $4). A cashier (she was marginally polite) was repeatedly trying and failing to help me return a couple of items. Another employee, a woman with blonde hair, short ponytail (presumably a manager) came to assist and suggested to the cashier that my license might be expired, or that the return had been flagged possibly because of too many returns. I said I've never returned anything. The blonde employee said "I'm talking to her" referring to the cashier. I said "I'm just here trying to return something." After suggesting my license might be expired, and that I was possibly a serial return artist, I dared to defend myself and got an I'm not talking to you from the manager. The wait times have gotten ugly ever since they stopped allowing an express line for people with their prescription QR codes ready. There are currently 8 people in front of me at 3:48pm on a Tuesday. I've been in and out of the CVS pharmacy for probably the last month now and it's been a struggle getting my prescriptions not due to CVS but just due to insurance issues, but everybody in there is so incredibly nice and helpful. Make sure you've been helped before 6 on a Saturday because being there prior means nothing. I spent 8 minutes in the drive thru line unaware they close at 6. I pull up to the window at 6 sharp and it's locked up. Zero courtesy for me waiting on their slow pace. Typical 2026 useless hourly employee. read more

Why do they have to close down the entire pharmacy for a half an hour in the middle of the day? I understand that people need to take a lunch break but management should staff the pharmacy accordingly so that they don't have to shut the whole thing down for a half hour in the middle of the day. Some of us only have a limited amount of time that we can get things done and doing so makes it incredibly inconvenient. I know it's only half an hour, but that's my point, it's only half an hour. You should be able to staff accordingly so that there are staggered employees so that the whole pharmacy doesn't need to shut down. This is asinine to say the least. read more

Absolutely unreal experience at this CVS pharmacy. I came in at 6:00 PM to pick up my prescription while it was pouring rain. I planned to use the drive-through, but it was completely blocked by police cars, so I had no choice but to park, run through the rain, and go inside. When I got in, I was standing in line while they were helping another customer. Suddenly, a male employee yelled that they were closed. I honestly thought he was joking until they started closing the gate in my face while I was still standing there. I explained that I only needed to pick up my inhaler, that I have severe asthma, and that I had only two puffs left on my emergency inhaler. I also told them I am pregnant and urgently need this medication. Their website said they were open until 10 PM, but they responded, "Holiday hours we close at 6," and shut the gate anyway. If the police hadn't blocked the drive-through, I would've been there earlier. They saw me standing in line. How hard is it to help one more person, especially when that person is clearly explaining they need a life-sustaining medication? Because of this, I'm now spending Christmas Eve trying to figure out how to get an inhaler or potentially going to the ER all because the pharmacy staff couldn't show even a shred of compassion. This was truly heartless and unacceptable treatment, especially toward a pregnant customer in need of essential medication. I will never fill prescriptions here again and will absolutely be telling others about this experience. I hope management reviews the cameras and sees how their staff treated me. read more

This is a great pharmacy, but they are also VERY busy. As long as you expect to wait in line for prescriptions and know that they have strict closing times - so they cannot/will not stay open beyond closing time, then you won't ever be disappointed. They always have kind, knowledgeable pharmacists and technicians. In the 20 years I've been using this pharmacy, I've never had a problem with a prescription that was the pharmacy staff's fault. Our family has also done flu shots here for years and the staff is great, even with kids who are nervous. The rest of the store staff is nice and helpful, too. Shout out to Kristin who works in the cosmetics area and is happy to answer questions, make product recommendations, help you find anything you need. She is a super star! In 2025, I had my Christmas cards done here and they came out great. The photo paper is thinner and smaller than I used to get at Costco but that's what I expected and I was in a hurry. I got the cards in one day and for a great price, since I was not able to get them in time from Shutterfly. Bottom line, I've been using this CVS location for 20+ years and I recommend it. read more

I never use CVS for prescriptions as I always go to Costco which has great service. We were in the emergency room on Saturday night and they sent the prescription to CVS as Costco is closed on Sundays. However, there's no live person to talk to snd the automated system couldn't find the birthdate or the phone number. When I called the store's general number, she told me they changed the system and there's no way to talk to a pharmacist without leaving a message. Never going here again read more

Our work wanted to celebrate our colleague's 20th work anniversary and had a fun poster created from an Etsy artist. We had it submitted to CVS for same day pick-up. It was ready within 30 minutes! While I was there, I bought a bag of confetti to cover our co-worker's desk. One of the CVS employees was very helpful on finding the poster. Amazing service and product all around. read more

Overcharged Wood refused to accept the prior pricing that we've been paying for over a year under an explanation that you need to come into the store and not go through the drive-through stand in line for an hour only to be told. yes you were correct and the person at the window in the drive-through was wrong. The fact that this location is always slammed is not the fault of the people who work there. Given that the other 2 pharmacies in the area closed and they are clearly overwhelmed with the sheer volume of prescription orders they receive, I think the pharmacy staff is incredibly patient and gracious. They are doing the best they can and don't deserve the negative reviews I'm seeing here. The drive thru design is horrific, again not the fault of the employees. Speaking of employees, Kristen in the beauty department is an absolute gem. She has worked there for a long time and has the best, most upbeat, helpful attitude. So if all you need is a pharmacy, there might be better options that aren't so crowded, but I still maintain this is a great CVS! read more

At 7:15 the pharmacy drive through was not open even though posted on hours on Yelp, Apple Maps and printed out and taped to the window say 7am. I pressed the button multiple times. Nothing. At nearly 7:30 my sick toddler was upset and we had to go home. Lazy, unprofessional and disorganized. read more

Pharmacy cannot manage the volume of orders coming through since the other LR location closed. They are doing their best, but it really seems to be too much to help costumers and keep medications in stock. Help them out by getting your prescriptions filled elsewhere. read more

The tech at the drive thru never told me my total, never told me that they were nit using my insurance when it was used before, and didn't give me a receipt until I asked for one. Of course when I looked at it after getting home it was $80 instead of the regular $12. Going back and asking why they didn't tell me about the extra charge and insurance issue they said they were not obliged to do so. Then they had the gall to tell me I was told of the total and that I lied when I said otherwise. Screw this cvs, this one should have closed down. Going to Rite Aid or Walgreens from now on. With so many people in the USA who are anti healthcare you would think that the pharmacists would want to help those who actually want to receive healthcare. Had to take three trips to get one prescription filled. Can't necessarily blame them for the first trip because maybe it was my doctors fault... Not exactly sure. Second trip was scheduled based on their pharmacist telling me when to come back. Was then told it still too soon to pick it up and that they fixed some things and that it would be ready two days later. Got an automated message from them telling me it was ready and I showed up two days later for my third visit. Turns out it was still not ready, and I proceeded to have to sit there for an hour while I negotiated with their pharmacist and had my doctor eventually physically talking to them over the phone to get the order authorized while I waited in the store for almost an entire hour. A complete waste of time all around with three trips just to get one prescription filled. I will be changing my pharmacy location. read more

Avoid this location at all costs. The worst customer service, if you could even call it that, I've ever received. There was a young female employee that was very, very rude to me. I understand they're probably short-staffed and overwhelmed, but, there is a difference between burnout and being mean to people for no reason. I hope that employee finds a job in a nice warehouse somewhere, where there is little to no human interaction. My bosses would want my head on a silver platter if I ever treated a customer like how I was treated. Long story short, do not spend your money here. This location is always well stocked and the gentleman up front who works late always answers the phone. He also does the *best* passport photos - he actually cares. There's also a lovely lady who runs beauty who is so helpful for answering questions. I hate going to other locations even though others are closer now that I've moved. I just called him with an issue for same day photos late at night and he was going to have them ready for me since it was for my son's school project. My husband already started printing at a second CVS on the way there, but this Ladera location is so kind. Great service. read more

The staff here are HARD WORKERS!! These folks hustle. This is one of the busiest CVS locations I've ever come across and they are always grinding and doing their best. I've been coming here for 10 years and always appreciate what they do. I had a last minute photo print request from a family member tonight for Christmas gifts and I placed the order online with CVS, and my order was ready within 5 min. When I went to pick up the photos, I found out they had a staff member there the entire time to process photos during the Holidays. Avoid this pharmacy like the plague. I dealt twice with the person who helped me (her name is Angela), and twice she was very rude and gave me the wrong information. She nodded her head with hatred and rolled her eyes at me. If she does not like her job or doesn't like customers, please stay in the back. I don't understand why the pharmacy manager allows this person to be in contact with people. I feel angry because I have never been treated in this manner. It doesn't matter how busy you are, this behavior is inexcusable! I hope their customer service improves, otherwise the customers will be non-existent. read more

I ordered an item online and had it for pick up at this location and when I went in to pick it up, they refused to give me the item and made me buy the item a second time in person. The whole transaction period was odd because the first employee refused to help me and then the second employee said that I had to get back in line when I was the first in line, because they had to help "paying customers first". Making simple purchases gets more challenging each visit. The checkout process eliminates the customer service aspect of buying from this location. Under my Medicare plan, I'm supposed to get my prescriptions from CVS or a handful of alternates. After this transaction today, buying baby products and Halloween candy, I'm only going to get prescriptions from here, and all other products from Walgreens, Target, or "anywhere else". read more

No one answers phone when I was calling to check on my prescription. I had to drag my unwell self out of bed to go directly to the store only to get excuses that they "had 6 people calling in at once". Get some help or answer the phone to let your customers know so that they don't feel like they're being ignored. This is really bad service. read more
