The pharmacist on duty (Samantha) refused to fill her prescription because she was "busy". She said she may be able to do it the next afternoon. I explained that my wife just had surgery, and the doctor wanted her to take these meds because of the magnitude of the surgery. The pharmacist (Samantha), she had the medications but would not fill her prescriptions. I asked her (Samantha) if another CVS pharmacy would be willing to fill my wife's prescription tonight, and Samantha stated she "doesn't know" and she would not contact any of the pharmacies to find out. I went across the street to the pharmacy located in Publix and they filled my wife's prescription prescriptions within 10 minutes and was very helpful. I can relate to being busy at work since I am a First Responder (federally) and even with me not getting paid, I still do my best to help people, even when I am busy. I do believe there is a better way to articulate why you can't do something as compared to why you don't want to do something. I would not go to this CVS, especially to Samantha, given my experience. This is a really friendly, extremely customer-service oriented, fabulous pharmacy based on my visit…read morethere last week. Wanting to avoid the dreaded Wal Mart across the street, we opted for SHMP to get some Claritin for sweet Momma. The pharmacy is super dark, tinted windows maybe? from the outside and I wasn't sure they were open, so I walked to the door and voila, yes, they were open until 6:15, it was around 5:00 when we got there. Kind of odd to me, but perfectly fine, the staff has to "buzz" you in, meaning they see you at the entrance and then push a button to allow you to enter. Also you push a door button device to exit. The entire staff were so friendly and helpful, juggling phone calls, a lengthy drive through line and me as the sole customer inside. I inquired about petroleum free lip balm products for sweet Momma, since she uses 02, and the sweet female helping me went above and beyond to a. check their stock on hand, talk to the pharmacist, and do a lengthy computer search to find out a. what was available and b. re-confirm the ingredient list with the pharmacist. Wow! You don't often see that level of detailed, thorough service these days! She asked how many I wanted, which was 1, and said she would order 4 to keep some in stock. I asked about the price and she said, "It's $8.00 but I'm only going to charge you $5.00 because $8.00 is too much." I thought I heard her wrong, but I didn't; seriously, she reduced the price! This was on a Tuesday, and she said they would have them the next day, adding they do offer delivery service on Tuesday and Thursdays. The only negative thing I could say about this pharmacy is it was a cluttered mess in the interior. Of course, I didn't mention it, but the sweet young lady helping me, commented on the fact they were trying to re-organize or something to that effect. I highly recommend SHMP, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful staff who put the "in person" customer before the phone calls! Oh, and I didn't see a cell phone in sight - that was refreshing, too! Well done, SHMP!

This is the absolute best pharmacy! The staff is wonderful. They have medication's in stock when…read moreothers don't. They always refill my prescriptions and have them ready even when I forget to call them in. They also have better prices on items not covered by insurance. They fill in a fraction of the time it takes big name pharmacies to get them done and I never wait. So it's always worth the 12 minute drive it takes me to get over there.
