A few weeks ago my sister and I came in needing to get some photos off her phone and printed out. Natalie was EXCELLENT in helping us. She was able to quickly find the photos and then connected the phone to the photo printer and printed them out for us. Total time was maybe 10 minutes. Imagine my surprise, purchasing a bottle of Gaviscon here at a price of $16.49 before a coupon and then seeing the same product across the street at Kroger for the regular non sale price of only $11.49! If I were the manager here, I'd make sure that all the trash in the parking lot was cleaned up. I guess it's a different world now. My dad's store, first thing we'd do every morning was make sure the outside parking area was as clean of trash as possible. I guess CVS doesn't make this a priority. A better management team would survey their lot and grounds and think"this is filthy. I'm going to put together a crew to clean up all this debris and garbage. I might not have caused it. I know this is a CVS thing but I didn't know you could order items ahead of time and just pick them up. This is a game changer for me because I don't have to wait in line or peruse around. Also you can use your coupons if you have the app. My stuff was ready an hour after I ordered it last night but I didn't go in until today. It was an easy and fast pick up process. So happy to find this 24-hour pharmacy in the Upper Heights. My wife fell ill after some recent travels. Upon using the Teledoc at midnight, a prescription was written and I was able to pick it up an hour later. I used the drive thru that was well lit and the pharmacist was friendly. I hate to do this because it is my go-to store, and I live within walking distance. This is the front side and NOT THE PHARMACY DEPARTMENT. It was my first time using coupons because I always shop, so I decided that i might as well put it to use. As i finished shopping, I looked at the line, and to the left is check-out and to the right is self-check out. I followed and asked a Hispanic gentleman if i could please check out politely. He informed the next person was next, and i responded politely that i was following the line and actually gave her a sign to go ahead. Well, she insisted that it is okay. The man/cashier didn't have a pleasant attitude. I asked him politely if i could use my coupons since it is my first time. He just quickly asked for my phone number, then i asked again Can I use my coupons, no answer, he took it out of my hand and scanned it with a negative attitude, and crumbled the receipt coupon afterwards. What if i needed to use the other coupons? What if i needed my receipt back? Anyway, i proceeded to say thank you, and he didn't respond. I've been in customer service for 18+ years. I was polite to you; you should act the same way! Be a better human being! read more

After spending the day in the ER we were discharged with prescriptions for home care. I dropped them off at this location from the drive through and was told 30 min wait. At that point there were at 5 vehicles behind me. Doing a little quick math, I told the lady working I'd hop back in the line and see her in 30 mins. When I finally made it back to the window 40 mins later I was told it was still a 30 minute wait. Unfortunately we are stuck with cvs, as insurance requires it for coverage. The only reason cvs is still open is because of slimy deals with insurance providers like this. read more

This cvs store is so important to the neighborhood because they are 24 hrs and to be honest better than Walgreens right next to it. But it's sooooo dangerous at night. I don't understand how the parking lots is always pitch dark. Only lighting is the cvs sign and maybe 2 or 3 working light post. Please fix the lighting. I want to continue to be a customer, but if I have an emergency going on at home and I need meds or whatever in the middle of the night I think twice to go there. By far the worst pharmacy I have ever had. I am forced to go to CVS due to insurance and this is the closest one. I will be driving as far as I need to get away from this one due to the pharmacy. I will also be writing to corporate (even if it won't do anything) due to their management. I thought I was a one off, it heard the same has happened to other friends that go there. They will leave you with an expired prescription and take you off meds cold turkey. I submitted a refill multiple times, visited to pick up 4 times and each time they told me they never got my refill order. A week off my medication I called and went through 15 minutes of their phone recording to get to a person. For three months my doctor was telling them I needed to come in before she could refill. They NEVER told me this all the times I reached out to them. The guy was a JERK and rudely told me it was in all the paperwork they staple to the last refill. THERE ARE TONS OF DOCUMENTS ATTACHED! The medication they did this with you SHOULD NOT go off cold turkey. It was very scary and dangerous. They also are incompetent, I do not know if this is because of their processes, training or software...I do not think it is (all) the people. Plan to spend a half an hour in line inside or at drive thru even if they have tons of staff. Also don't expect ANY privacy. Standing in line you will hear the staff very loudly talk about the prescriptions, their insurance and more. Last location, expect all the moms from the nearby schools using the parking lot for pickup during certain hours or tons of middle school kids taking over certain aisles. When that is not happening, expect to get accosted in the parking lot by the same vagrants everyday. They will even be knocking on your windows while you sit in the drive thru. I waited in the drive thru for over 15 minutes before spoken to then after 20 minutes I was told I did something wrong on my end! The technicians and pharmacists at this location have the worst attitude and treat customers like they are a nuisance. They don't recognize that most people are visiting them because they are sick. There is no consideration and after a few visits we have started to doing home-deliveries of our medicine so we can avoid the unpleasantness. Don't be fooled by the 24hr availability. They will make you wait and wait and then treat you like crap. read more

There was a Latino gentleman that was working around 3 pm on 6/4 . My gf and I noticed how helpful and positive, and good customer service he has. Not only did he open a glass case for us and was patient, he helped another family w a check out machine issue. Horrible service. Place does nothing to assist in time of need. To start I went to the pharmacy in Katy on fry and Morton for prescription that was given to my son for pain by the hospital. They did not have it and said no stores in the area had it. I called several locations for this 20th street location to tell me they didn't have that particular one but did have a different pain medicine. In order to switch it I had to go back to the hospital to have the medicine changed. Of course they were reluctant but they did it. The next day I go to this location for the new prescription for them to tell me they did not have it!!! They said the doctor sent a liquid form and they only have pill form. They can not call the doctor at hospital because "they wouldn't be able to get through" and they could alter the prescription. I then had to go back to Katy hospital for them to prescribe the pill form. At this point I have to argue with the hospital. The hospital doctors said the pharmacy should be finding a location that has the medicine rather than continuing to send me back. They finally send in the prescription per cvs request. I go back to the pharmacy for them to tell me the new prescription they do not have. I was heated as of course my son was waiting all day in pain. The pharmacist didn't even attempt to help. They said they will not call around to find the Medicine yet the pharmacist and doctor at the hospital said they should be doing that. They are here to provide Medicine in time of need and when it's needed it they are too good to do their job. Lack of empathy and overpaid. They don't deserve to have to be in a position where they are making people suffer the way they are. read more

Great drive thru but a tight squeeze. Like really tight. I can see why their are so many stuff Mark's on the brick columns of the buildings and the security pillars. I have no clue why they constructed it so tight? I do like that my little one goes to Texas Children's Pediatrics down the road sends prescriptions here and usually by time I get there; 5 minutes later, the prescription is ready and waiting. Be careful if you ever go in. There is usually always someone begging for something at the door when you go in or exit. There is a low income old folks home across Heights Blvd. And I think a lot come from there. I wish CVS would do a better job managing this. read more

Humans don't work here anymore. Had to stand in line for 10 minutes because all they had were two self checkouts. When it was my turn, there was an issue with the product I was buying and needed assistance. There was no one there to help. I called out and walked around for a human cashier and there wasn't any. The line was about 20 people at this point and I wanted to speed things up. I kept calling out for someone to help but no one came. The entire line looked frustrated so I just left. It amazes me that these companies want us to buy their products and checkout on our own. We are the customers...we aren't the employees!!! I'm not going to do the work for you and still pay you for MY service. People are unemployed, yet these corporations would rather save their money, and make the customers do the work, rather than pay a human being. It's a sickening symptom of a dying economy. I was initially attracted by the 24 hour aspect and the drive-through. So I signed up for auto fill on my Rx's to be able to pick them up readily at the drive-through, and also subscribe to text notifications. Yea automation! So CVS texts me that an Rx is ready, but when I go by the next day it isn't. This happens more often than not, and is extremely annoying. So what gives CVS? Next time I call to check before making the trip. A voice menu system eventually puts me through to the pharmacy, but no answer. Somedays a person does answer, and things get taken care of just fine. Some days I've tried 5 times over the course of a day and evening and gotten no answer. The only recourse is to just go to the store. Then after waiting in the drive-through 20 minutes, the Rx is not ready so they say give us 20 minutes. Such a time sink this place! I've chatted with several evening pharmacists who say they are there by themselves, meaning they are understaffed. Given the crazy profit on meds, and such a large store, one would think they could hire a phone person/cashier to be somewhat staffed. I'll give it a try: They don't compound the simplest prescriptions. As in, they won't mix two lotions together. I have dropped off prescriptions that they said they could fill, but then couldn't fill it. Good news is that they haven't screwed up and given me the wrong drug. As far as I know. It's new. I wish I could give them zero stars! After spending a horrible night I went to this CVS to get a Navage that I saw on TV and that it was supposed to clear my nostrils. I bought one of those for about a hundred dollars but after realizing the box was open I went back to the counter to have it replaced, the guy at the counter (Armando I believe) told me to grab a new one so I did that and went home. After trying Navage for a week with no positive results I decided to go back to CVS to have it returned, but I couldn't find my receipt, I went there anyway and tried to reprint it with my credit card or my CVS card information in the computer, but the girl said that it was not possible so I left. Later that week I found the receipt so I went back to CVS to return the infamous Navage but the cashier insisted that my receipt was not the right one and that she could not do a refund! So I went to a different CVS (the one by Lowe's on that side of I610) and the manager said that for some reason the computer was not letting him do the return but he told me to go back to the CVS in the Heights and to talk to the manager Crystal in order to get my refund. The very next day I went to the CVS in the Heights for the THRID time to try to get my money back, but the unfriendly cashier told me that my receipt was not the right one and tried to make me look shady, I asked to talk to the manager Crystal and the cashier told me to wait because the manager was on her lunch break and that Crystal should be back in 20 to 30 minutes! I decided to wait right there and magically a few minutes after that the manager showed up. I told her that I wanted to get a refund and she said again that the receipt was not right and that she could not give me my money back!!! I told her that it was the right receipt and asked her to verify it, because the receipt was obviously for a unique item which was a Navage for about a hundred dollars! But she insisted that it was not and that my Navage didn't coincide with the one in the receipt, she said that I had probably bought two different versions of Navage and that my receipt was not the right one for the Navage that I was trying to return! I told her that I had only bought ONE (01) Navage and to please verify my story with the record in the pharmacy history! She said that she was going to check the security cameras to verify that I had only bought one Navage (at this point she was basically calling me a liar), and after a few minutes she came back to me saying that after looking at the videos she saw me buying two Navages!!!!!!! OMG I was so pissed! I told her that it was not true and asked to to show me the video, but she said that it was in her office and that she was not gonna let me in to watch the video! And that the only solution to this problem was to give me store credit!!! Of course I didn't want store credit, I just wanted my money, 100$!!!! I told her that she was a liar and that I was not going to accept store credit, and asked her to show me the video! She refused to do that so I told her that I was going to call the police, only God knows how mad I was, my hands were shaking, my heart beat was insane and I thought I was about to have a heart attack! So I told her to figure it out, to either show me the video or to call her employee Armando to verify my story! So she went back to her office to apparently call her cashier Armando, and he told her that when I bought the Navage the box was open and I got a second Navage and that probably I got a different kind and that's why the receipt was not matching my Navage!!!!! So finally this woman accepted to give me my money back!!! After going to CVS three times, after spending about 45 minutes arguing with her, after being called a liar many many times and after telling her that I was calling the police!!! This woman should be fired, with all the 4 cashiers that "helped me" in all those occasions! Customer service is a shame, no one ever apologized to me. Oh God I will never in my life want to see these people! Even after agreeing to give me my money back that son of a b... Crystal told me that she was going to give me what I paid for the Navage and not the price of the one I bought which I guess was more expensive!!! I told her OF COURSE!!! All I wanted was what I paid, not a cent more! This is a typical CVS nothing fancy here. I frequent this store more since it's 24hrs and Walgreen's next door is not. It has pretty much everything you would expect from a drugstore. If you take advantage of those CVS Extra Care bucks, you can save some change. Most times that I stop in they end up having long lines since only one cashier is open at the front. Most of the employees that I've encountered have been ok, but whenever I come here in the morning, the cashiers are moody and short with you. For any prescriptions, I'm a Walgreens gal so I can't speak for the pharmacy experience. This store is ok by me, it always has what I need. It's a blessing to have this store down the street especially for days when I have a killer cold (like today!) and needed to get some cold meds early early in the morning. Decent store to grab what you need and be on your way. read more

Well, I get to the drop off and give them my script. After about 150 buttons on the keyboard pressed, they say "we might have this in 5 days". Okay, so is there any way to tell? Oops they did it again. I went in with a prescription for a migraine medicine. I was told it would be 45 minutes so I dropped off the prescription and came back about an hour later or so. "Sorry sir, I can't see anything in the system for you". What do you know, my prescription was sitting over by the drop-off counter with another pile of prescriptions. So how long is it going to be now? "Another 15-20 minutes since you're waiting here". I sat down and answered some work emails...next thing I know it has been 40 minutes. I line up again to ask about my prescription. At this point the migraine feels like a family of rats is living there feasting on the contents of my skull. "Unfortunately sir, your prescription is not ready. I have advise them that you are waiting blah blah blah bulls**t that doesn't help me". I got pretty pissed and the counter lady said they would call me when it's ready. I just went home and took some Aleve. This seemed to help. Phone call never happened...it has been 3 days. You have a better chance of getting your meds from a black-market dealer in a back alley, or mixing your own stuff at home, rather than coming to this place. read more

After requesting my elderly aunt and uncle be taken off of automatic refills and I be contacted by text for refill requests, I am amazed how poorly this works. After calling and requesting repeatedly (more than three times in 9 months) that they be taken back off of the automatic refill I finally had enough today and called to speak with the pharmacy manager. I was told he wouldn't be in until Monday. I explained my frustration with CVS's continued non-compliance with my requests. Sadly, the "automatic refill " situation has gone on for years, until January of this year. I asked the pharmacy staff to please leave a message for the Pharmacy Manager to call me on Monday. I was told there was no guarantee he would get back with me so if I wanted to speak to him I would have to call back Monday. Are you kidding me?? My mother and I went to this CVS to get a flu shot, and were appalled by the lack of professionalism, cleanliness, and experience. First off the pharmacy area smelled strongly of urine. Gross. We were told to wait in the employee break room for our injection. The room was filthy and I assume people eat there, which is completely unsanitary. There were bathrooms in there as well, which also smelled terrible. Finally some man appeared from the pharmacy area saying he was administering our flu shot. He had the vaccines in a non-medical plastic basket that did not look clean. He had to go into the store to retrieve bandaids and alcohol swabs because they didn't have any. He kept asking for someone in the pharmacy, I'm assuming the pharmacist, to help him but they wouldn't respond. Instead of waiting, he decided to continue giving us the injection. He OBVIOUSLY had never given this shot before. He placed used alcohol swabs back in his little plastic basket, and then he stabbed my mother's arm with the shot multiple times slamming on the plunger. The pharmacist finally came into the room for 10 seconds to tell him it's really easy and then left, without really helping him. He continues to work on us, not changing his gloves between patients. I got my shot and he says, that was much easier, I've never given this shot before. What???? You are administering this shot for the first time and there is nobody in here that knows what the heck they're doing? The experience was traumatic and reminded me why I hate CVS. Pharmacy staff is friendly, I mean I've never had an issue with them. I'm very last minute with my prescriptions but they have always been able to fill them within 30 mins to an hour. As for the store itself, yes it does have a distinct possibly urine odor near the pharmacy but other than that the store is arranged pretty well. The other down side is that they may only have one cashier and several people waiting to be checked out. Let me say that the stuff this CVS has is great. However....(yes, there is a however) the service here is spotty. The pharmacy is great and 24 hours, BUT the actual people milling around are scarce, as well as the cashiers: there is almost always a line (or two) to pay here, folks! When I need something from one of the locked cabinets or hooks, I usually have to go to the pharmacy to have them page someone. That is not cool. They do have passport picture services which are great: I used those pictures for my wedding license and to apply to DPS and social security for my name change and the turnover for the pictures were pretty speedy, but yeah. Wish there were just a little bit more people milling around. Then they wouldn't really have to rely on the cameras for shoplifting and see for themselves instead, yeah? read more

I had a schedule appointment for my COVID testing. There was a signage on the entrance of the parking lot that said drive thru testing. So, I go ahead and wait on the drive thru line to get tested. After, 20 minutes waiting and for them to tell me they can't do it. They have to do it in front of the store. I call the store and explained the situation and for them to tell me that I had to reschedule because "I miss my appointment". I wasn't the only one there were other people that were parked behind me with the same situation. It is unbelievable they should fix their signage. read more

My wife and I scheduled vaccinations one week ago for 5pm today. When we arrived, the pharmacy techs told us there was only one vaccination available and it would be a 30 min wait. Whats the point of scheduling an appointment if the shots are not there and we have to get in the back of the line?
