I miss when customer service mattered. Raced across town to try to pick up my prescription. They close pharmacy at 7pm it was 7:01pm they are all still back there and said it was too late. We were from out of town and my wife had forgotten her blood pressure medicine. There was only one person in the pharmacy at 10:00am and she was surly and unhelpful. She told us that we were in the wrong line and we needed to step aside even though she was the only one there and said we would have to wait a long time for someone to help her. read more

Made the mistake of walking up to the pharmacy counter at 1:31 p.m. They were open but I was told they couldn't get me my prescriptions (sitting ready, behind the counter) because they were 'Closed' . I stood there, amazed, as the employee pulled down the metal shutters in front of me. She was kind enough to advise me to come back at 2:00 and they'll be glad to get me my prescriptions. Since they have them I'll make one more visit to this store to pick them up. But in the future I'll take my business elsewhere. Have you found your wonder drug? I have. A lifetime of allergies were stopped in their tracks by Claritin D. Sudafed over a 24-hour period is apparently a strong dose; doctors and pharmacists have discouraged the purchase before. But I know my body and I know what works. Sometimes I take Claritin D (24-hour) for three or four weeks at a time. Other times, I go months without it. Houston this October has record ozone levels, ragweed pollen that's off the charts, other pollens, and no rain in over a month. It's a tough time for allergy sufferers. Here's how CVS screwed me. I bought a box of Claritin D, 24 hour. The pills were so expensive, I should have realized something was wrong. But I just needed the meds. When I opened the box in a restaurant a few minutes later, the pills looked different and I realized she had put a 12-hour pack in my bag by mistake. No problem. Easy mistake. She's human. But the store would not let me return the opened box, though I had not taken any pills. And because of the sudafed rules, if I returned it, they could not (or would not) let me purchase another box. So I took the pills home. I only took them in the mornings, unless I was particularly uncomfortable, in which case I took one again 12 hours later. Most days I took nothing at night, stretching those pills out for a few extra days. Today, the system refused to let me buy another box. Apparently, though the 12-hour box was in the bag, she charged me for a box of 24-hour pills (which is what I wanted) and the State of Texas thinks I still have pills left over. So how many days will I have to wait before I can buy what I originally wanted? If you don't take sudafed, none of this will make sense to you. But the pharmacist will understand. I'm stuck, during the worst time of the year, without the one medication that always does the trick. read more

I have always had a good experience at this pharmacy. Belinda is always so helpful and friendly, and she works extremely hard. I can't believe the negative reviews of her. Sure this pharmacy - like all others - can get extremely busy, especially in the late afternoon/evening when people get off work, so it's not her fault if there's a wait or a home time one the phone. They do their best to be well-staffed, but some patients and their medication needs can take longer to check out than others. I've always found Belinda virtuous, informed, and ready to serve the best she can. I also want to point out how wonderful Ivan is. He has gone out of his several times to ensure I got my prescriptions as quickly as possible, even when he's find another pharmacy or get ahold of my doctor with a very short turnaround. He, too, works very hard and makes sure all the customers get what they need and are support. This a great family pharmacy where they know people by name. read more

Not only is this location close to where I live but I have never received such personal and friendly service from pharmacy technicians in my life. I come here, they greet me by my name which is such a nice change from other pharmacies. Even other CVS locations that I've been to. The pharmacists at this location go above and beyond to help me whenever I need help or have an issue with the doctor or a technicality. They have helped me when it comes to insurance as well as calling the doctor and letting them know when they're on back order and suggesting other locations where my medication is not on back order . Well I ordered a SAME DAY item online. This location isn't the closest one to me but the site showed this was the closest location with the product available. So I ordered it and went to pick it up because of the email alerting me that it was ready for pick up. I used my lunch time to go pick up my order because it was a bit further away and I get there....its not ready. So now I have to get back to work. Haven't had anything to eat today and I'm upset because I needed this item for tomorrow. I get back to work late and called the manager about my situation. He pretty much said it's a new item. They don't know about it and no other store had it. He was going to call other stores but no one had heard of it so it's not their fault for having it. It was such an inconvenience because I don't live or work near this cvs. I purposely ordered it to be ready by my lunch so that I could drive further to get it since the website offered this as the closest location that had it available. No one at cvs both at the store or customer service cared that I planned accordingly, drove further to the sites availability location and completely wasted my time, gas and lunch time for absolutely nothing at all. This wasn't a computer glitch. It was lack of attention to their duties. They didn't have the product in stock because someone failed to do their job. So I got a "what took you so long" from my boss for being late from lunch, wasted gas and left cvs empty handed. Later the manager called me to say another store had it.they picked it up and would be ready for me when I could pick it up. Which was my lunch time. This to me is rude and inconsiderate. The site should say that it may or may not be ready when you get here. It's at your own risk. Why bother having a scheduled option? Some of us actually work while we're at work. We can't just get up and go whenever we want. Crappy service & I'm the only one looking bad without the item I needed for tomorrow. Maybe I can just show them this review and my CVs ready for pick up confirmation emails to show i ordered what I needed to. read more

The pharmacist wanted to inflict her own personal beliefs on my health. I've filed a complaint with CVS and am hoping that they further investigate. In the meantime, I'm avoiding all CVS locations because I've learned from others that this is not an isolated incident. CVS, inform your pharmacists on Federal law and go through greater lengths - other than sending a memo - to ensure this doesn't happen to others. read more

Belinda put me on hold for over 15 minutes on the call to the pharmacy and asked if I was Ms. Russo which I was not. I couldn't wait so I hung up. Called again this evening and was on hold for over 30 minutes! Yes, you read that correctly, 30 min. I made my experience and complaint known to John, store manager. Poor staffing, poor planning and horrible customer service. I'm actually stumped that this location has such a poor rating and it doesn't seem they are striving to make improvements. Parking is tight at times at this location and there is no drive through so a simple task like dropping off a prescription to be filled, becomes a hassle. The store is small and crammed with products (that you don't need but end up buying anyway) like most pharmacies, so it feels cramped and overloaded. Bottom line, unless this is location is convenient for some other reason, you probably want another pharmacy. read more

I had a great experience at this location. I needed to have a prescription transferred to CVS - I handed them the business card for the old pharmacy and this location took care of all the details. My prescription was ready on time. Additionally, I needed a 3 months supply and they only had stock for 2 months so they are giving me my third installment free. Additionally, I picked up a few items for the home and it's one of those great place for the random items you've forgotten or put off in the preceding weeks. Check out was a breeze. I can imagine times when parking is difficult, but I went at 10am to drop off my prescription and again at 3:30pm to pick up and there were plenty of open spaces. Belinda is always helpful, kind, considerate and works her butt off! I hate that someone wrote a rude comment about her, and used her name (classy)! So I am writing a comment purely based off of the attention and time that she gives me EACH TIME I am getting my medication. I was born in West University and I now live in River Oaks, and this CVS has always been top notch--with Belinda working tirelessly to help others, especially during this time! Not sure why someone would make a negative comment about this particular CVS just due to the area as well? As if better service was needed due to its zipcode? I've been going to this pharmacy for over a year. The pharmacists and employees are all wonderful, truly. One of the pharmacists even went out of her way to contact me and tell me when my discount card on my prescription had expired and showed me where to get a new one. The problem is the location. It's an absolute cluster fuck. It's near a Chuy's and regardless of all the towing signs, Chuy's customers take up all of the CVS parking. The valet actually lines parked cars in front of parking spaces (with cars in them) so even if you find a spot, you are likely to be blocked in. I feel bad for all of the businesses surrounding the Chuy's because it's directly effecting their ability to generate customers. Unfortunately, my last visit to this CVS I was unable to find parking nearby, and now I will be sending my prescriptions to a new location. read more

Called today because I received a new message from CVS that my doctor called in a new Rx not covered by my insurances. When I called to inquire further the tech I spoke to was rude, had an attitude and was rushing me off the phone. Then I overhear a conversation she has about me with the pharmacist in the background (I believe she forgot to put the phone on mute). Overheard them saying I didn't understand what I was talking about even though I did because I'm a pharmacy technician. My MD eveN mentioned that when he called in my prescription the pharmacist he was speaking with seemed confused and he'd never experienced that before. Needless to say I will be going up there in person next week to discuss with management and request my prescriptions be transferred out. read more

All time WORST pharmacy. NOTHING they do is EVER right or easy. When you're sick, this is awful. Normally I use Briargrove pharmacy (they deliver). They have real, intelligent people who really care. This place they call a pharmacy is a joke!!!!! Twice they've tried to give me someone else's Rx. When you call and hit the phone button for pharmacy, the recording asks for your Rx number. I don't have one, this is a new Rx. When I, after tricking the phone system, finally got someone, Rx wasn't ready. It was called in YESTERDAY at 5pm. Their excuse....I wasn't in the system. So if you're not in the system they don't fill Rx until you show up. Sick. Nice. Duh. Idiots. Oh, and did I mention, this store has NO PRODUCTS that aren't CVS brand. None. read more

They made a DRASTIC error in my prescription that could have been extremely harmful. When I pointed it out, the gave me a 20.00 gift certificate. I HAD been going there for 15 years before it was CVS. Recently they had another error AND the attitude is poor in the pharmacy!!!! The front check out folks are nice but parking is horrible and the traffic is worse to leave the place. Steer clear and you will be much happier read more

I use the pharmacy at CVS often - Linda & Olaide are the best -- just tonight, had an inner ear fluid/sinus issue and needed relief from the pressure building up -- Linda showed me which medication is good for that. Her and Olaide are ALWAYS consultative and the ONLY pharmacy that calls people to remind them about allergy refills...plus they are always fun and good to the customers.
