I needed to Pee so bad, so I came in here. Should have gone to Pee VS. Not to be confused with CDS which have been phased out now, sadly. I miss cassettes even more to some degree. Obviously it's not a cheap pharmacy, just a typical CVS in a pretty shady area with a lot of sketchy characters trying to get money from you when you get out of the car, especially lately after COVID, and then of course it's very expensive. But having said that, this is a CVS which strangely has some very interesting items inside, and Barbi has actually found some sexy clothes here. Stuff that she hasn't found at almost any other location. So whereas I would usually give a three-stars for a good CVS, this one I actually have to give an extra star to, for providing Barbie with some very hot items. And remember. Camping Vehemently Sucks. This is my neighborhood CVS. I never really have any type of issues here but this morning I placed an online order on the app with some of my coupons. Everything was in stock when I placed my order and it's usually fulfilled and ready for pick up within an hour or two max. With it being the weekend it's very understandable that it could take more than that however, it took over ten hours to fulfill my two item order and one was canceled because it wasn't in stock, it probably went out of stock in the 10 hours. CVS Pharmacy has been open since Covid-19 pandemic started in early 2020. I stopped coming for pharmacy orders in 2019 because the pharmacy staff were RUDE and they're drug pushers. I have been to this CVS at Beechnut and South Gessner near Academy for very long time. Even after I moved my prescription refills to other pharmacy 2 miles away, I still stop by to do window shopping. Because this store has lowest prices in Houston, as I was told by a manager before. My recent encounter with store employees was really bad. I asked my employer to ship a machine to UPS Access Point at CVS. I received a message from UPS as my package has arrived. I went to store once and twice; I was told they haven't received it yet. Claiming there was a delay. I called UPS, they said someone signed for it. I went back third time and the employee denied that person works at that location. She had a nerve to tell me to check the other CVS. I went back Fourth time. I asked for a manager. She first denied like the same answer previous employees said. Then, she pulled out a device and scanned my receipt. Ah she found it miraculously. What happened was they wrote my last time as first name. No one could find it. What this tells me they should had scanned it, instead they checked by name only and lied about this and that. Front counter staff was outrageously unprofessional. This cannot be a trusted anymore. read more

After being treated shabbily and incompetently at two Walgreens stores (confirmed appointments but Covid vax order "would not process"), I took a chance and just walked into this CVS location. I was greeted by a very polite and professional pharmacy employee named Aashil, who registered me and administered the vaccine with no problem. Mostly the things here (food wise) is expired.. I recently got a 24 pack of sprite zeros and noticed the Wakanda forever packaging but didn't really think anything of it. Get home and try one and it's expired. I call up to cvs to tell them bc I spent $10 on a 24 pack of them, hoping they will give me a new pack of 24 cans of Sprite Zero that isn't expired or maybe even a coupon off for next time.. but they didn't do either. Not the best CVS around, service is kinda slow and not that nice, but the deals after holidays aren't bad though. EDIT: Scratch the service part being alright, there will be cashiers there with their incompetence that will frustrate you so hard. That's not a nice experience. I came back after a while to buy some snacks that were featured in the little savings CVS paper and it said ALL products of this certain brand were buy one get one 50% and it showed different products with each other but the cashier lady upfront said it wasn't, EVEN THOUGH on the catalog it said in CAPS "ALL Products"(of that certain brand name) and the products that I got were of the brand BUT SHE SAID I had to get the same exact snack even though they are the SAME EXACT BRAND. For what reason?! It doesn't even say it has to be the same exact product! Anyways, I didn't want to hold back the line behind us so we paid and left, but in the future I'd rather not have a cashier that doesn't understand what "ALL" means. read more

He gave me nasty looks and yelled at me, because I asked them why they wouldn't honor a price of a product that THEY POSTED online on their CVS website. He handled the situation poorly and it reflects on him as a store manager. Yelling at the customer is definitely not the way to handle the situation. Most CVS pharmacy's that I have used are great. This one is horrible. Let me count the ways... 1. The store's floor is nasty most times. 2. The pharmacy employees are pretty friendly, but seem incompetent. 3. There are a couple of guys that run the register near the door, and their customer service skills suck. 4. Yesterday, it took my husband and me 3 trips to actually get our medicine. 5. I'd say 95% of the time that I've used this pharmacy, I can't get my medicine until I've come back several times. read more

I made an appointment to get the first Covid shot, for some reason my appointment was not in their system I had a confirmation number email and text and they could not find it. The pharmacy technician named Chau was so rude about it she gave us very poor costumer service with a bad attitude seem she was just unhappy from doing her job. I do understand that working in a pharmacy can be stressful but you don't have to be mean to the people. Thank God the pharmacist told her she could give me the vaccine due that someone did not show up, but still Chau reminded her that they were so busy and were not doing walk in. The pharmacist still gave me the shot. I really appreciate her because I have a very tight schedule and didn't want to wait any more to be able to get the shot. Please train your pharmacy techs better you already have good pharmacist but come on they can't be everywhere helping by themselves. read more

The staff attending the pharmacy sector is perhaps the best crew I've ever dealt with. They do such an amazing job and are always pleasant given how rude people can be. They have zero control over what the insurance co says if there is an issue. They are not at fault it's yours to advocate. Overall a 10 for a store. read more

This cvs is terrible. I purchased some makeup items from a cvs closer to me and the shade did not match. I had my digital receipt and items. Went to this cvs because it was near my job and I was my lunch break. Both the cashier and manager stated I could not return items I BOUGHT because the concealer was open and I used a $4 coupon. Then I was told It was Cvs policy I had to get on a gift card. The most stupid thing I heard. It wasn't like I came in with no receipt and just the items. Went in to pick up some essentials I needed before starting my day at work. Seeing a sale on chocolate covered cashews, I decided to purchase some. When I get to the register, Grant is ringing me up and gives me my total. When I ask why it came up as the original price and not the sale price he goes to check. He comes back telling me that I'm wrong. That I picked up the wrong container and that they were not on sale. When I told him they were the only ones he began to argue with me so I told him I just didn't want them. I went back after and the signage matches the size, brand, and type of product. However rather than being kind and having good customer service he just argued with me, he could have just been kind and honored the price and fixed it later but was just being rude. I have had so many problems what this CVS Pharmacy on South Gessner. They are the worst store I've ever dealt with. I had surgery and went to get a prescription for pain again I had surgery the dumb woman tells me it's going to take a week for me to fill a prescription because it was a narcotic and they were out. I was told I need it to get up and go to each and every cvs to find out if they carried it. If I could walk I still wouldn't have gone to every CVS store in Houston Texas to find out if they had a prescription. I'm not a drug addict I'm a customer trying to get a prescription filled. This pharmacy's convenient location is more than made up for by the incompetence and ineptitude of the people running the actual pharmacy. They have on more than one occasion tried to give me a 30 day supply of a medication instead of the 90 supply. This makes a big difference in what I have to pay. (less for 90 supply) The last time they did this, after I informed them of it, they did not have enough medication on hand to give me the full 90 days. Asked me to come back to pick up the rest. I have tried now on 3 separate occasions to pick up the rest of the medication, but with no luck due to one person saying they had no idea what I was talking about, one person saying it was not ready because they had not ordered it yet and another saying that they were still trying to contact the doctor about it even though I got a call saying the medication was available for pick up. read more

Incident 1: had to come back 5 times before I was able to get my prescription, my doctor had to call them. They keep saying they have filled but they do not even have it in stock. Incident 2: just had a surgery my doctor sent a prescription for pain, they said they do not have it, they sent me to another store. i went to the other store they said they do not have it eithee. The rude pharmacist did not even bother to check if it is on stock at the other store before he sent me there.
