Understaffed. Self checkout which is fine unless you buy an age restricted item (medicine) and there's no way to contact the 1 salesperson on the floor. Blinking light? Seriously? As my neighborhood pharmacy feel I get when coming to this location. I wanted to add how friendly and welcoming all of the staff is. They are very helpful and always take the extra mile to be sure I have found exactly what I was looking for. The pharmacist is very knowledgeable and willing to look into my questions she was unable to answer right away. The neighborhood kids are a nuisance, but that's not their fault, it's their parents fault. They come into the store as if they were a battalion of bully's. I have children who have gone to these same schools.. how awful of these parents to allow their children to go anywhere so impolite and nasty too! Pharmacy is horrible. Prescriptions are not fulfilled in a timely manner, workers are unreliable and not very informative. Do not come here if you need a prescription ordered because they will not do so, and instead cause you further insurance problems when given incorrect prescriptions and/or brands. read more

Well as I understand it CVS is having an issue with kids in Glen Rock! But you need to read your audience better, now I understand there are some problem kids but I will tell you not all the tweens or in this case teenagers are problems and actually just want to shop! Not sure why the staff is screaming/yelling/raising your voices and disrespecting 16 yo girls that were trying to shop. It is unnecessary, I will find out the CVS woman's name that was working at the store and file a complaint with the corporate office. The staff needs to be trained properly and if you cannot handle the children then the store should hire GPD off duty police during the week after school to properly control their problems. read more

This store has great sales and products and is in a very nice area. I have stopped in a number of times. The greatest experience I had with this pharmacy was in receiving a vaccination. Dana was quite helpful. Dave responsibly gave me the shot and followed up to make sure I was fine. There was another person who was working with him and she was positive, too, but I did not get her name. Ms. Paster was also helpful. Karen was the cashier. All of the employees have always been helpful, polite, professional, personable and efficient at this pharmacy. read more

CVS is CVS, however I felt compelled to write a review about this particular CVS because of their refusal to have more cashiers on staff. This may be a common problem with all CVS's but this one is ALWAYS under staffed. I went in one day to get one item and waited on line for nearly 15 minutes. They had one cashier checking people out. And of course some pain in a** had 35 coupons they wanted to use. And after all that, they needed a price check to save a penny. So the cashier had to leave her register and find the product herself in the store. By this point, the line had grown to about a dozen customers and finally the lady at the photo department opened her register. But their understaffed check out wasn't the only issue with the wait. The woman who was on register proceeded to chat EVERY customer up. Even the customers who were visibly not interested in chit chatting were forced to engage with this employees small talk. I continue to come here out of convenience however don't be surprised if your foot falls asleep while you wait. read more

Need to even things out here because I have had EXCELLENT service at this pharmacy. Yes- there are lines, especially if you go at 6pm or so, be smart, go during the day when there is no wait or use that smartphone that you have in your pocket or read a book or pull a magazine off the shelf (they have them right there in the store!!) The staff here has gone way above and beyond for me. They have special ordered medicine for me, worked with me to make sure that medicine was there when I was going to need it by ordering it ahead of time, if I needed something they didn't have in stock the staff has called all over the place to find my medicine at other store locations so I could pick it up that day. Good people and they will work hard for you if you are nice and respectful. (believe it or not this happens in most places) Take it from a regular customer and not someone who talks about wanting to slap employees because they didn't take her coupon. This is a good pharmacy and the people who work there will take good care of you if you are a level headed reasonable person. read more

I hate to give such a bad review to my town pharmacy but the Pharmacist was so nasty (and this wasn't the first time), that enough is enough. On numerous occasions I have tried to get my father's medicines synced so that I can pick them up at the same time. This is something I was advised to do and was told that yes can be done. Each time I'm picking them up though it is never done. Today was the final straw and I asked to speak to the manager. The Pharmacist Sophia was condescending, rude, and obviously has no idea what the term customer service means. I intend to follow up with whomever is above her and switch his prescriptions to another pharmacy as soon as it's convenient. read more

I left a review saying that the employee Mitra was following me. The next day I go there and the manager yells at me over the fact that I wrote that it was awkward to be followed. I actually really like the pharmacy here and find many times they have been really flexible with rushing things for me. I did once try the other pharmacy in town and they are fine as well but the hours at cvs are far more convenient! read more

Have to agree with reviewer-worst CVS around! same problem -they don't honor coupons as they are printed-even their own. You can show them the item matches the coupon and it is not expired-they still make up reasons as they go along. Today I was told you cannot use a manufacturers coupon on something that is on sale-WHAT??? Clearly they need some corporate training! read more

Most of the Glen Rock CVS Pharmacists/staffs are very nasty and rude. They often make mistakes on the quantities (short) of the medicine; delete coupon's in the system; provide wrong information to the patients. They never apologize even when you proof they did something wrong. According to J.D. Power U.S. Pharmacy Study, the CVS Pharmacy only got 2 stars on its Customer Satisfaction Index Ranking. My suggestion is if you want to get better soon, don't go to the Glen Rock CVS. The stress you get from the pharmacists can make your medical symptoms much worst. read more

Sorry to see so many complaints from people who live in other states. Not sure why they would come to the Glen Rock CVS to purchase their medications. Yes there are sometimes lines for the pharmacy. It depends on when you go, but I have used CVS for over 15 years since my other pharmacy didn't want to fulfill medications covered by my insurer. I am a diabetic and never had a problem with my prescriptions. In fact one day I went to the pharmacy without my wallet. I was in a hurry to get back to my husband who was very ill. The pharmacy assistant provided her own money to pay for the prescription until I could get back, but no rush. The staff is friendly and helpful. The store is well stocked. read more

DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY FOR YOUR PRESCRIPTIONS. I take medications daily for epilepsy, therefore I need to RELY on my pharmacy to be accurate every month. They manage to SCREW UP MY PRESCRIPTIONS EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH. The inaccuracy of their staff is inexcusable. BeYOND frustrated!!! WORST experiences OVER and OVER...call you that your prescription is ready...go in and it's NOT, over and over and over! FINALLY waited around for it and now an issue with insurance not "matching" up (which by the way has happened so many other times! Every time I come to pick up a prescription it's not ready and then when I decline refills via text, I still continue to receive calls to refill my prescription. Get your resources under control so that they're not wasting time following up on refills instead of filling prescriptions in a timely manner. read more

I had just had a surgery done and needed my medications. The pharmacist would not fill my prescription for oxycodone, which is the one I needed the most. The pharmacist here is rude, unprofessional, and should be fired. I have had so many bad encounters with this woman and apparently, many others have, too. The woman working the pharmacy is absolutely ridiculous, hanging up on me multiple times and refusing to talk to my doctor. Wasted several hours here attempting to have basic prescription filled to no avail. My newborn was added to my health insurance and this addition was confirmed...three times by my insurance company. The pharmacist, and techs she evidently trains, is/are under the misconception that medical care coverage and prescription coverage for the largest health insurance Co in the nation are always separate entities and my daughter is covered under "medical" but not under "prescription" ; my health insurance company begs to differ. And that certainly is not the case. This misnomer stems from an 1-800 number which is an affiliate of CVS. I am quite familiar with this 1-800 number and they do not have access to "real time" coverage info. Several calls to the main blue Cross/ blue shield hotline confirmed the "medical" and "prescription" coverage are both in effect at the same exact time, yet the CVS pharmacy chooses to blindly call their own affiliate number, which does not have info as current as blue Cross blue shield. After an hour or so attempting to educate the pharmacy, I finally ran out of time and patience and agreed to pay for my daughter's prescription , although it was covered under my insurance - then they tell me, "Come back after 5:00 pm tomorrow, we will have it then." They clearly saw, for an hour, I was trying to clear up their insurance issue to immediately obtain the medicine for my daughter- yet they failed to tell me they would not have the medicine available for 30 more hours anyway. If you would like to deal with a rude, curt, misinformed staff with no empathy... who does not have your medicine in stock and lacks basic critical thinking and customer service skills, go to this pharmacy. I'll be going elsewhere so my daughter isn't up crying her eyes out waiting for medicine. The pharmacist on duty clearly has no time for customers and is unwilling to listen to health insurance co. After I left , I again called blue cross blue shield and they apologized for CVS being misinformed and advised me again that the CVS affiliate hotline simply does not update as quickly as blue cross blue shield hotline number. I initiated a complaint through CVS's customer service number and was told they would promptly escalate this to district management, as it is an urgent matter.. 3.5 hours later... no call. CVS pharmacist exhibits cavalier, curt , dismissive attitude. read more
