Being hung up on while trying to manage an important prescription is extremely unprofessional and reflects poorly on the level of care being provided. Patients should not have to deal with uncertainty, lack of communication, and disrespect when it comes to their medication. I would appreciate a follow-up regarding this situation, including what steps your team will take to ensure this does not happen again to other patients. It should have been communicated last week that the medication might not be available, allowing me to make other arrangements. While you may be dependent on your supplier, patients should not be placed in the same position due to poor communication and lack of transparency.

I have been getting all my prescriptions here for the last 17 years. They are friendly and family owned. They have always done a good job with filling my prescriptions and provide counselling as needed in a professional and user friendly manner. The main negative as there is often delay in getting my prescriptions filled. They are a small operation and they tend to get backlogged at times. There is sometimes a wait for them to get a new prescription filled. There have also been some glitches with insurance, but they always try to get it worked out. The store itself is quaint with a nice array of decorative and gift items as well as the usual over the counter drugs and medical supplies, cosmetics, toys, and school and office supplies. It is a great little store and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

My…read moreprescription has never been ready when they told me it was so I have to walk around the store until they fill it (apparently they don't fill your prescription until you're actually there). My most recent visit was the worst. I arrived at 6PM and even though it's supposed to be open until 8PM the manager yelled at me through the glass and said they were closed. I tried calling after that to check to see if it was ready. The first two times no one answered, but on the third try the manager said my prescriptions would be ready that Thursday. I waited until Friday to be sure and went in and waited in line for more than a half-hour. When I got to the counter, the manager said they hadn't filled them yet, per usual, and to stand next to an end cap for a half hour and wait for them. A half hour later he gave me one prescription and said they couldn't fill the other because they couldn't get it. I'm reasonably sure he was lying as he's lied about everything else. Even though I get my groceries at Smith's, I'm getting my prescriptions filled elsewhere from here on. Spending hours trying to get a prescription filled and being lied to constantly by the pharmacist in the process would be self-abuse if I kept doing it.
