When I hear an issue arise I evaluate how all people are handling themselves. The unknown customer was sincerely apologizing for a misunderstanding where she thought she was being given too much money on a return and was attempting to be honest and remediate the situation. Her tone was respectful, kind and she was kind of soft spoken. The employee, (I went back after giving some thought just to get her name) Lisa was scoffing, and saying WELL IF YOU WOULD HAVE JUST LISTENED IT WASNT A MISUNDERSTANDING .. EXCUSE MEEEEEEEEEEEE??? A person like this doesn't belong in customer service!!! My son lives in Fernley, not myself. When I said hey I went to Tractor Supply and heard the rudest employee, my son was able to describe her to a T! The fact that he knew exactly who she was made my decision to walk back over there and get her name!! Will I return? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! It was disheartening to say the least!! Horrible customer service experience at the Fernley Walmart (1550 Newlands Dr E)…read more The in-store Customer Service Desk and Money Services are scheduled to close at 10:00 PM daily (per their website) while the store itself remains open until 11:00 PM. Even Ida who was fabulous was shocked when we walked back and inquired what happened ? We told her they were closed and stated "I thought they were open til 10pm ? When we arrived before 10 PM, there were two employees standing just steps away from the customer service area. Both clearly saw us waiting in line while they continued their personal conversation instead of acknowledging customers. After they finally finished chatting, one employee casually stated, "Customer service closed at 9 PM." I responded that Walmart's website clearly states 10 PM. Her response? "Oh, it was slow." I then asked if a manager could process the return at one of the registers instead, since the store was still open. She immediately replied, "No, because the drawers are closed," which had nothing to do with what I actually asked. The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and complete disregard for customers was extremely frustrating. Apparently their conversation was more important than even acknowledging people standing there waiting for assistance.

Even a small grocery section with things like coffee and snacks! I stopped at the cafe and ordered a salad for $10.00. It was fresh, crisp, and had a bunch of bright red strawberries on top. Afterward, I bought some beef sticks, for only $1.00 each. What a deal. I'm looking forward to my next visit.
