On Medicare They really really take care of you For example, the doctor put me on Lamictal and it was $175 for 50 pills He said if you get the generic kind, it's only $.43 with your Medicare The pharmacist didn't need to tell me that I would've bought it anyway, but he saved me a ton of money. CVS has great coupons and a good ethnic hair section which I really like. If you use coupons the prices are less than Target and Walmart which is hard to do. This is BY FAR the worst pharmacy ive ever had the displeasure of using. Ive THREE separate terrible experiences at this stores pharmacy and today was the straw that broke the camels back. There is ZERO PATIENT CARE at the pharmacy. I dont know if they understand that most of the people coming to get prescriptions are sick or not feeling well. I got a call from the pharmacy at 4pm today letting me know my prescriptions were ready. When I get to the store the employee that originally attempted to help me was nice but completely incompetent. She brought up 1 prescription (i had 5) and was trying to check me out. I asked where my others were and she said "oh they're not ready". ?? When was i called saying ALL 5 ARE READY THEN? She then told me to have a seat and she would expedite it. I asied her how long she said between 10 - 20 mins which i was fine with. 20 mins goes by and she says its ready and now theres one 2 scripts ready??? What? I reiterated that I have 5 and want to pick up ALL 5 AT ONCE. She then told me to wait a little longer and she'll have them all ready at once. ANOTHER 30 MINS LATER... I was trying to pay with GoodRx coupons on my phone to help cut down on the price of my meds. She had no clue how to apply the coupons or use GoodRx at all. How is this so? I know I am not the only person to use this app here. So then she tells me to sit down again and wait for the Consultation window to open so someone else can help me. Ok... patience running thin at this point but ok. When I finally get to the Consultation window the woman working there was so incredibly rude. Just genuinely seemed like she hated her job. When I show her my phone and say I have goodrx coupons, she said ok what is your info? I hand her my phone and types something in and then spits out prices that are MUCH higher than whats listed on goodrx. I asked why the price is not as reflected on the app and she proceeds to tell me " I dont make the drugs prices myself and the price on your app is merely a suggestion as to what you could possibly pay but isn't the EXACT price you will pay". Ive never had this issue using goodrx in the past. Other pharmacies ive used have always honored the coupon price listed on the app. Even at other CVS stores. After 10 mins at the counter trying to figure this mess out, I relent and just tell her its fine, charge me more then. I just want to go home. She then says ok, grabs all of my prescriptions that were on the counter in front of me and turns around to hand them back to someone else and then tells me to go sit back down and wait. EXCUSE ME? WHY? After over an hour of waiting im at the counter with my meds ready to pay and she snatched them from me and told me to go sit down again? I asked why and with a snotty ass attitude she says: If youre gonna use a coupon and change the price, the I have to unpack and then repackaged your prescriptions again with the new price... SINCE WHEN? Ive never had this issue anywhere else in the past. She was so rude and completely lacked any sort of compassion or patience for people in her lobby. I sat in a hospital emergency room for 6 hours today with a kidney infection and all I wanted was to come pick up my meds and go home to rest. Instead this lady decided I would be the target of her shitty attitude from a job she clearly hates. Needless to say. Ill NEVER be using another CVS again. Absolute trash. read more

Incompetent and Unreliable I recently moved to town and had my first (and now last) experience with CVS Pharmacy. Two prescriptions, two major issues--completely unacceptable. First Prescription: CVS notified me that my insurance wouldn't allow the medication to be filled until the 11th, which was understandable. However, when the 11th arrived, the pharmacy wasn't prepared. They didn't have the medication in stock and took an additional five days to get it. This was potentially life-saving medication, and they weren't properly prepared for the date they provided. To make matters worse, they didn't notify me about the delay--I had to call them myself to find out what was going on. Second Prescription: I was initially told my insurance denied the prescription due to missing ICD-10 codes. Confused, I contacted my doctor, who confirmed the codes were included and resent the prescription. Insurance approved it, and CVS informed me it would be ready by 7 PM. I opted for the "ready sooner" option and headed to the pharmacy, only to receive a text en route saying the medication was out of stock. When I called, I was told I could pick it up on the 16th. The 16th came and went with no communication from CVS. On the 18th, I called again and was told the ICD-10 codes had supposedly been received, but they were incorrect. The pharmacist then suggested I start taking the month-two dosage, which had been approved, even though the initial month-one dosage wasn't. How could a higher dosage be approved but not the lower starting dosage? And why would a pharmacist recommend taking medication out of order? This is dangerous and irresponsible. CVS has demonstrated an appalling lack of communication, preparation, and professionalism. I've lost all trust in them and will be transferring my prescriptions elsewhere. This store has terrible management. Too many times I go there, and they are out of stock on what I'm looking for. It's even worse now that Rite Aid has closed. I have been using this pharmacy for years now. I have always been treated with the utmost respect, professionalism, and care. Although most of the people in the pharmacy have all been helpful, there's definitely 1 pharmacist that has consistently gone above and beyond for me every time I have a prescription that may run into some problems. CVS is a terrible store! Been a CVS customer forever but not any more! the Pharmacy is outstanding the CVS store return policy is a complete ripoff if you don' have a receipt. I purchased batteries which cost me $28.00, I threw my receipt away under wet coffee grounds so it was not legible to retrieve. I needed to return the batteries because the were bad, yes brand new CVS brand batteries were bad. I took my bank debit record showing the purchase and the amount paid to CVS two days earlier. CVS would only give me 1/2 of the cost I paid? I paid 28.00 and was given a store credit of 14.00 two days later because I did not have a receipt. Picking up meds is one of the few things my dad does independently, with the trust of customer service over the counter. Yesterday, he came home after paying $230 for a medication that was $27 in the same parking lot, just across the street. I understand (repulsively) that medication prices change and vary depending on insurance and the market. However, allowing a disabled man to pay almost 9x the amount for medication he could get for $200 less by walking across the street is unethical and immoral. When asked politely about the increase in medicine, I was informed, carelessly and sarcastically, "he can just change his pharmacy." Losing $230 for CVS is not much. But losing $230 for a man adjusting to a social security income is everything. Informing your patients of their access and abilities could ensure they have gas in their tank or enough money for a medical appointment. I don't ask CVS to be perfect, the cheapest, or the fairest. But, taking advantage of patients and the lack of care when they do, is one of the most awful experiences I've had as a caregiver. read more

Most of the people working in the pharmacy are extremely rude and very impatient. Last week I waited in line for 15 mins and the entire time the pharmacist was filling prescriptions with his mask pulled down below his big nose!! That is just unacceptable. The store also has pharmacy customers wait on 6 foot spaces (which is good), that are in the flu and cold medicine isle. So, we are forced to scoot over continuously to allow sick people to look through flu and cold medicine. This location has TERRIBLE customer service. The past 3 times I've been in, the cashiers were very rude and not helpful. They are rushing and they don't listen. Ive returned my entire cart twice now. The only reason I still come here is because of Jan the pharmacist. He is always helpful even with the people who are being jerks. He follows up and genuinely cares about people while other pharmacists don't even look you in the eye while they practice CYA medicine and just want to check off the box to "protect" their license. I almost moved all my prescriptions somewhere else after some woman decided she was going to play a license war with my MD. I don't care what the black box warning says when I've been taking my meds for years and have been working closely with my doctor to ensure best outcomes with my medical treatments under the stupid rules of my new terrible insurance. When you tell me "it's my license" in a tone that if said to my child might earn a slap for being a bully much less a grown adult who has full capacity, I know you don't give AF about anything. Being so concerned about your own license that you raise your voice while threatening to not dispense medications, seems ironic. Because literally, it's your GD job. I seriously only stay for Jan. I wish they'd post his schedule so I can come in and discuss healthcare and pharmacy needs and guidelines with him in a rational manner like a decent human being because he knows his stuff and knows his people. The first thing I find important to mention is do not park directly in front of the store unless you have to (handicap parking area). Because it will be a pain for you when you are trying to leave the store. Park a few feet away from the store, you will save yourself from getting a headache. The store is huge like any CVS, I find that in the seasonal section can get quite messy. I came in one day a few days after Christmas and was checking out the Christmas Clearance aisle. There were a couple of employees that greeted and asked if I was finding everything I needed. Each time I had to fill a prescription in Pharmacy for my sister, it's crazy, busy. I just have to add that I'm glad I don't fill my prescriptions here. The store has a little bit of everything to offer, they even have a section that represents Fallbrook, such as T-shirts, caps, and bags and lunch bags. Great for little souvenirs. The store is located in a strip mall with other businesses that may draw you in, check them out! I'm newbie to Fallbrook and even though the place could use a facelift, the plus side is they are open 24 hours! read more

One of the very, very few places in Fallbrook that is 24 hours. I have a soft spot for this place because I remember several years ago when they first opened...I think I was 10. That was over 15 years ago! This place does get crowded, but personally, after living in San Diego for over 3 years I think the lines here are pretty standard. The CVS here is also cleaner than some other CVS's I've been to and I've never had issues with customer service. Then again, I've only come here at odd hours (usually super early or late at night) when no one is around. When Zhu Zhu pets were the rage, CVS had some under the counter when Walmart didn't have them. When I wanted a snack, CVS had a multitude of chips, popcorn, and candy at good deals. When the boy dumped me and I impulsively drove up to my parents' without overnight clothing and lens cleaner, CVS had clothes for me to spare and travel toiletries...and no, I didn't get the Fallbrook gear, but you could if you wanted. And at least they give you cash back whenever you want, unlike Fallbrook Rite Aid! read more

Specifically regarding the pharmacy part: majority of the staff is nice. Never had any complaint. In and out. But I was recently given new medication by my dentist due to getting my wisdom teeth taken out, so I was just conforming with my this woman Kim with a Cat on badge that none of the medications had aspirin in bc it will kill me and she gave me and my 90 year old great grandfather so much attitude. I gladly matched her attitude bc how dare she treat her elders that way; especially one who was calm and and waited for her. After matching her energy and making it very clear I looked at her name tag she was all of a sudden very nice. I work with with the public as well. I also have bad days, but I never ever treat customers poorly for no reason. So, overall the store is fine, but the I hope they read their reviews and are aware of how their staff is treating their customers especially considering the majority of the people in this town are elderly. read more

im 15 years old. I went in CVS to get my medicine and this lady named Irene is the one at the desk to greet me. I'm talking to her in a normal speaking tone and she purposely keeps asking me to speak up when she asks if I'm there for antidepressants. Embarrassed, I said yes. She continues saying I'm "Not speaking loud enough" when stating my name and my birth date. Completely uncalled for and rude. She wasn't even wearing her mask correctly and has the audacity to be very rude and unprofessional when I had done nothing to offend nor bother her. All I wanted was my medicine and nothing else. as I was waiting in line too, she seems to do the same things to people of color aswell. This is unacceptable.
