The CVS pharmacy in Englewood, Florida is infamous for long lines, horribly slow service, and a culture of rudeness to customers that originates with the head pharmacist, a sour old woman who consistently abuses her little power base there. The rest of the staff, with one or two rare exceptions, follow her lead of open disrespect and nastiness towards senior customers. And heaven help you if you're filling a pain medicine prescription. That judgmental old hag behind the counter will very intentionally make your experience hell, dragging it out for days and often ultimately refusing to fill the order at all. What a nasty human being! That CVS store is losing customers in droves, as they have just lost my patronage after nearly 20 years. Apparently, the CVS managers just don't care. read more

I filed a formal Complaint with corporate today after vile treatment last Friday-the pharmacy claims scrips aren't faxed, electronically submitted etc, over and over again and has real problems filling prescriptions correctly and in a timely manner. I've never done anything like this before and after being a lifelong customer-transferred my business to Lemon Bay pharmacy. This pharmacy has the rudest staff of any pharmacy I have ever been to. The eye rolling attitude you get is insane. They fill my prescription giving me a 90 day supply. Thank you very much then I'm only half way thru my prescription and the refill it and start sending me text. No if I was to go get it this early my insurance will not cover it as an unnecessary expense. I've had this happen to me before. So yesterday I get a final notification to pick up my prescription and I'm finally at the point where I can refill my prescription and half my insurance cover it. I woke up asked for my prescription roll myself under the bus saying I am probably a day late. I got a notice to pick up a refill yesterday and oh my God, the amount of attitude and inconvenience thrown in my face to act like I was the dumbest motherfucker in the world for even suggesting that they automatically refill prescriptions, which they do Was so offputting. I immediately called my doctor and moved my prescription somewhere else. I will happily drive 10 miles down the freaking road to not have to ever ever ever go to this pharmacy ever ever ever again. read more

Apparently the pharmacist felt it was appropriate to discuss my health history with the 30 people behind me in line.

I've tried calling. 65 times today. They either hang up or I get "we're experiencing some technical difficulties", please try again later. I tries 64 times later. No response. In the meantime I keep getting text messages telling me that they've placed an order for one of my refills. I get the same message every day, but there's no notification that they now have it in stock. This pharmacy is just unbelievable. read more

Pharmacy staff is uncaring. Lines are very long. I called Sunday at noon and prescriptions were to be ready Sunday afternoon. I went to pick up on Monday and was informed my prescips wouldn't be ready for a half hour. One staff member on several occasions was very abrasive to others and myself. I am new to Englewood and very unimpressed and sad that the management isn't proactive. Nice store with nicely stocked shelves and resort wear but after 4 trips there, I am relocating our prescriptions to Walgreens. read more

I can't even give them one star. They have completely destroyed my holiday s and more. The pharmacy refuses to fill all my proscription s right before Christmas leaving me EXTREMELY sick and dying. I am terminally ill and they will not fill my pain medicine or medicine to stay alive. I have already contacted a medical malpractice lawyer and will be taking them to court. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!! So I had a coupon from my doctor that said my prescription was supposed to be 65$ they ran it and said it was 85$. Then they ran it again and said it was 95$ !!!! Obviously an error on there end. So then I wanted to use my good rx coupon and they said no they weren't gonna do it because they had to go on lunch. The pharmacists are rude and have no idea what they're doing. I would give a 0 star if I could. Worst pharmacy experience I've ever had. I'm livid!!! These people have NO compassion. Repeatedly worst service of any pharmacy I have ever used. Constantly understaffed. Scripts faxed from my doctor were "not received". Voice mails from doctor called in at 9 a.m. on a Sunday still not listened to by pharmacists at 3 p.m. when calling tp check on scripts I was on hold for 25 minutes and finally gave up. Never have these problems at any other CVS. read more

CVS Pharmacy - Drugstores Near Me - Englewood, Florida

Normally have no issues or nothing bad to say at all about this location and is why I fill my scripts here. However this last visit I had four prescriptions to pick up that were suppose to be ready the night before. When I went to pick up, there was one of the four prescriptions not ready yet and they told me it would be about 15 minutes until it was ready. 30 minutes later, I go back to pick it up and they tell me it would be about 30 minutes into it was ready. I understand if you get back up and fall behind filling orders but when you have customers aimlessly walking around the store waiting on their name to be called 15 minutes becoming 45 minutes or greater is an issue that maybe you should let your customers know about so they aren't standing around waiting or don't give them a bogus time frame of waiting to begin with. It's very frustrating and if it was done to me, I'm sure it was done to many others. read more

When they answer the phone, they say, "CVS, where the customer comes first." Too bad it's not the case when it's inconvenient for them. My mother became very sick tonight and asked me to run to CVS Englewood to get some much needed items for the night, and i called to ask if they would wait a couple of minutes until I got there (as it turned out, it wasn't necessary). I explained my mother was very sick, and the response I got was an emphatic "NO" - no apology, no attempt to help me whatsoever. That is definitely NOT putting the customer first. My mom is a regular customer, but that didn't matter either. Shame on you! To top it all off, the store was disorganized. I won't be giving them anymore of my money. read more

Newest update. They told me I wouldn't get the prescription until Monday because they don't get delivery's on Friday anymore. I called in an incident report because as it turns out they had my prescription the whole time. They were purposely punishing me for complaining about them to the customer service hotline. They found my "lost" prescription in 5 minutes. If I didn't report them I would have waited another 4 days. So please call 1-888-607-4287 everytime the pharmacy employees "accidentally" don't want to do their job. The people at the call center are wonderful CVS workers who actually care. Not Englewood CVS. Worst customer service I have ever experienced !!! Specially with the pharmacy... I suppose to be enrolled in the delivery program for about a month... for for one excuse or another never were able to deliver any prescription... I'm Personal Assistant for more than 10 years and working with several patients along my career... I have been working with several cvs, Walgreens, Rite Aid, etc... from NYC, Miami, Houston, Santa Fe, NM, Colorado, Pensylvania, etc I had downloaded all the apps for every one of this pharmacies and I was getting adjusted to every new technology... But in this location... forget about it... nothing seems to work right, text, app, auto refill, delivery... nothing... when you call you have to wait for several minutes... there is always an issue with insurance or Dr never call or Dr didn't send it electronically, etc, etc... it's so frustrating because I'm dealing with patients that needs their medication on time and because we are constantly traveling I need to be stocked and supplied in case we have to be longer for any medical changes... Maybe this place works fine with local patients. But definitely it doesn't work for me I definitely don't recommend this location read more

BEWARE..my wife had surgery on Friday and I dropped off her prescription. I was told that my insurance did NOT cover the prescription and that their discount price was $81.00. I have an app, GOODRX coupon that brought it down to $51.00. I paid out of pocket because the main pharmacists told me that my insurance did not cover it. On Monday I called my insurance to complain and they told me that CVS Pharmacy NEVER put in a request. My insurance approved the prescription but CVS at McCall rd refuse to reimburse me. BEWARE. They don't tell you that you can get a lower price at GOODRX either. read more

I am from out of state and forgot 2 prescriptions. I called early they answered and gave me the information that I needed to call my doctor. My prescription was filled later that day and yes I had to wait in a line. So what else is new. It was very long and the pharmacist did an excellent job explaining my insurance concerns and I was on my way. This immediate area only has 2 pharmacies and they are great people. Thanks read more

This CVS customer service in the pharmacy is horrible only 2nd to the CVS in Parrish.Dr sent in my script 1 hour 45 mins before I arrived was told it would be a 15 min wait and one hour later not ready! I'll definitely be going back to Walgreens read more

Went with a friend to pick up medication in drive thru feb. 16 2018 The girl stephney working was so rude because we got more the we had ordered. So she had to remove two from the bill omg did she go off on us. The when my friend question the total she screamed at us now what's your promblem. I'm sure he'd boss heard the whole thing and did nothing to correct the situation. How unprofessional can this get. I'm sorry it's the season and you are busy but you don't need to take it out on us. read more

I found the employees very friendly and helpful. Unlike my CVS in my home town which operates 24 hours, this pharmacy closes at 6pm. I wouldn't typically write a review on big chain stores as they are status quo but I wanted to advise visitors in the Englewood area of the hours. read more

CVS PHARMACY - These girls work very hard. They are always busy and season for them seems to be all year long. Always friendly and helpful. Prices are high for cash paying customers however that is corporate. Customer service is top notch. read more
