Once again CVS was out of the prescription I needed for my sick children. After waiting 30 minutes they told me they were out of the antibiotic I needed for my son with pneumonia. They couldn't have told me that when I dropped it off and said I was waiting? Third (yes third!) time this week they have not had prescription meds in stock. Hello people! You are a pharmacy. Maybe you should stock up on things like prescriptioncough syrup, Tamiflu, and antibiotics when cold and flu season rolls around. Like Christmas it comes the same time every year. The Walgreen's on Palmer Drive had it filled for me in less than 5 minutes. read more

DO NOT USE THIS MINUTE CLINIC! TOTAL FRAUD! I went to them due to an ear irritation. I was refused treatment due to a pre-existing condition. Not only did they provide no service, the diagnosis they would have provided that I had to go elsewhere to get was wrong, they still had the audacity to charge me a co-pay. It turned out NOT to be an ear infection like the "nurse" said. DO NOT USE THEM AT ALL. Do yourself a favor and go to an Urgent Care or similar, NOT CVS!!! HORRIBLE! read more

Incompetence galore. The minute clinic was fine I had to wait a little but I wasn't expecting to be seen right away anyway. After getting my throat swabbed to see if I had strep I was prescribed lidocaine and had to then pick it up from the pharmacy. I should've had the prescription sent into Walmart or something because clearly this pharmacy is not equipped to handle simple tasks. "Sneh" was the pharmaceutical tech who was "helping" me if that's what you want to call it. I gave my insurance card to the doctor in the minute clinic but for some reason they needed it again at the pharmacy which was no big deal. Sneh couldn't find whatever information was necessary to complete stuff on her end for a good 5 minutes or so. Then she decided to bombard me with paying my copay, signing some random piece of paper, listening to my lidocaine instructions from another person, etc all at once. If you're dealing with irate sick people all the time I'd imagine you'd have some sort of home training enough to be a decent person. I'm not feeling well and I can't process things like normal. Mind you all of her responses and interactions with me are abrasive and rude so I'm already not enjoying this experience. I'm not coming back to this location. If my strep results come back positive they will be sent to Walmart instead. or if not I'll just deal. I'm good off of going and dealing with incompetent people who are bitter with themselves and spew it out into their everyday interactions. I never go to CVS for my pharmacy and this was the first and last time I do. Save yourself the aggravation and avoid it also. read more

SKIP the pharmacy! I decided to use the drive through pharmacy on a very busy day. I handed the cashier my credit card and "woops" she drops it and then proceeds to tell me, "Sorry I lost your card, if I find it I'll give you a call back"!!! I am sorry but if that is the level of care you give to my credit card, I can only imagine the level of care you give to filling my prescription. I never did get my card back and that transaction was followed by the store manager who said that he spent his own personal time trying to find my card and well sorry your out of luck. So, although the drive through is convenient I will forever pass on CVS pharmacy in Elmhurst! read more

Some Days Good, Some Not. On a Sunday morning, took sick child. Excellent experience. Following Tuesday, took myself, hour twenty minute wait, only three people ahead of me. No one spent more than 10 minutes in the exam room but it was thirty minutes between patients served. Paperwork? Not from the conversation those in the waiting area overheard. Once in the room there's strong efficiency but no bed side manner from the grad student. Nurse practitioner very good bedside manner. Thanks Linda. Laughter is good medicine. Suggest customer relations training for grad students in addition to medical training. Timing is key. read more

this pharmacy should truly be embarrassed. Ive filled my prescription 2 times and I will not go back. I'm a diabetic who obviously needs my insulin to survive and these people are so incompetent and unorganized it is truly dangerous. I received a call on Sunday from the pharmacy saying I needed a pre authorization from my doctor according to my insurance for my insulin. Fine. They sent the paperwork that my doctor never received. So I call Tuesday and say can you please send it again- I am on my last pen a nd it is an emergency how low I am. They have no records they were sent even though they do have records it was sent Sunday so it could be something on my doctors end for that part. Then I call the Doctor again and a nurse calls the pharmacy and the man that answers says "There is no problem, I'll let her know when the refill si ready" And this is Tuesday at about 1:00/ I call at about 5:00 and the same man answers and says "It's almost ready I will let you know when you can get it". so I wait patiently until about 7:30 and call and speak to a female who says "We are just finishing it up now" but I still never got a text that night. So Wednesday I leave work and I call just to make sure my insulin is ready and they say they have "Nothing ready for me". But why was this not communicated with me the night before so that now I am left with no insulin and my doctors are not in their office? These people need to be trained to communicate with the customers and follow through because this isn't a McDonalds cheeseburger we are talking about it is someone's MEDICATION. Who trains these people? So This time I am angry, and I tell the woman the story. This woman's name is Diana and she was the ONLY person I spoke to that had the right customer service and that knew they were in the wrong and sounded sincere and tried to fix the problem. She said she would send it to the doctor again. Someone needs to be held accountable for this because I will not go here again and neither should you- especially if your meds are vital to your health. I have NEVER written a bad review before but this isn't something to take lightly. I hope this helps either the staff sharpen up or the manager to retrain the staff, or at least it helps other customers decide to not deal with that kind of customer service- or lack of. read more

Pharmacy staff needs some work. A bit on the cold side. Young lady acted like it was my fault that didn't fill the right prescription. For being in Elmhurst I'd expect the store to be in better condition. read more

I originally transferred two prescriptions from Walgreens to the CVS store at 110 West North Avenue Elmhurst, IL 60126, Store#2860 because I believed better service would be offered there. All the other pharmacy technician staff were very polite, professional, and provided excellent customer service. However, when I went to pick up my prescriptions on Friday night, November 20th, I experienced horrible customer service on the part of CVS's pharmacist. He was very rude and initially refused to contact my insurance company Blue Cross and Blue Shield to verify my eligibility. He was indifferent to my concerns and implied I was wasting his time, saying that I could "save us a phone call" by calling myself. I have no problem calling my insurance. That is not the issue. The issue is the way the pharmacist relayed this information to me. He was unprofessional, rude, and does not know how to provide good customer service. I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere after such a horrible experience. I am certain I am not the only one who was on the receiving end of his crass demeanor and does not reflect well on the CVS at this location. read more
