The grocery is quite good. There is a full service deli counter that's always manned. They prepare the cooked chicken and other takeaway hot food here, and are always available to slice your cold cuts to order. A very respetable charcuterie section too. Very good selection of organic vegetables and meats, and many certified non-GMO items. They are bringing in more of the "Better Goods" product line which includes quality frozen foods and jarred fruit, with ingredient lists that DON'T read like a chemistry textbook. I recently found they now offer a cream cheese without any "gum" additives...made of milk, cream, cheese culture and salt. Imagine that. Employees are around to help you find things. The self-checkout, which is my preference, works well and rarely gets hung up. They often open only half of them, sadly, due to not having enough eyes available to watch for thieves. For some deep-seated psychological reason I never do the Yelp check in here, but trust me I've gotta be the Duchess 10 times over. This is a good grocery store and I recommend you give it a try.

The store has made one way entry and leaving at the store and appear to be doing all they can to keep us and theirselves safe. However, I didn't see any staff cleaning the cart handles at the store and some of the staff working did not have masks on. The poor cashiers still don't have plastic screens up. I did observe the manager jump in when lines appeared to get extra people waiting and open a register to relieve lines. The shelves were stocked and they had toilet paper. Well done. I feel that management at the store and the staff are doing all they can with what they have.

Having been at the Meijer store, I decided to fuel up at their filling station since the diesel fuel was under $4.00--$3.999. That's not bad compared to $4.179 to $4.299 that I've seen recently, while the price of gasoline is much (30-60 cents) lower. I went into the store with cash to pre-pay. The person at the register gave me a blank stare and eventually, asked me why I was there. I went back to the pump, after paying and found that the pump handle had fuel all over it and couldn't get it to work. I'm an idiot, right? I figured there was something wrong since there was fuel on the handle. I walked back into the store. "That's diesel?" "Yes." "You need to press the red button." "Thanks." I envisioned a big red emergency button but it was this tiny thing that my thumb would cover and it was situated by the price display. It worked! Having finished and went back to Mr. Blank Stare and got my change. My hand still smells like fuel, but the tank is full and I know better now. I didn't look at the prices for drinks and whatever else. The interior seemed to have plenty, not unlike Speedway. Meijer does have one special item that is difficult to find around here: E85 fuel.

Kent is not a qualified doctor of pharmacy and has an outdated Bachelors degree that is so old it was grandfathered in. He is neither a woman or a doctor and allowing him to deny plan b, a valid contraception approved by the FDA and generally available without a prescription, is a slippery slope. What forms of contraceptions will he deny next in the name of misguided understandings to the science and facts of the human reproductive system? Kent is forcing his beliefs on a community with limited access to important and vital medication. Kent was rude to me when I initially called to verify the information I had learned and researched. He stated that he did not know when he would have more plan b and fumbled with his words when I requested for him to help me understand why I was hearing that he sent an entre shipment back. Kent then hung up on me and when I called back refused to give me any information on who I could contact regarding this issue of Kent wanting to force women into pregnancy.
