I transferred my prescription to this CVS location from Walmart, because I thought they were better at customer service and getting things right. I was completely wrong. I kept calling them and my doctor multiple times to just request two refills on my prescription. My doctor kept telling me that she had already authorized the request and faxed the form to them, but CVS told me they never got the fax. I went to the pharmacy with the physical copy of the authorization, and guess what I saw, the pharmacist had the exact same copy in her hand (she kept telling and yelling at me that she didn't get any response from doctor). I don't know why she lied to me or made an excuse that "the system got new and everything is backed up". Just SMH. Also, the old male pharmacist yelled at me during the phone call for simply asking to repeat the question one more time. These people got no customer service, competence, and respect AT ALL. Grumpy, Angry, Rude, Inconsiderate Late-Night pharmacist who was understaffed after-hours and didn't realize (or really care) that two separate lines had formed in the pharmacy area. This pharmacist, (old Asian guy, didn't get his name) left the customer in front of us waiting over 30 minutes while helping others. He didn't even acknowledge him (or us). Then, when bringing it to his attention that we were waiting in front of "drop-off" area since I was done standing around waiting to be helped (waited 15-20 minutes) this employee/night-pharmacist decided he would be completely unreasonable and unhelpful. I drove 20 minutes to go to this CVS because: Even though I have 3 CVS's within a 1 1/2 mile radius it's the closest 24 hour pharmacy. Luckily for him, the medication we needed was not life or death. However, I truly hope that anyone else who was not helped by this bitter, angry, "hates his job" and is therefore, "mad at life" pharmacist did not have to endure further illness, medical complications, extreme pain or even death due to his unwillingness to help and complete lack of customer service. Maybe it's a glitch in this company's system, but if I order a refill, and the store closes before it's dispensed, I should be able to pick it up elsewhere or get an emergency dose. (Target Pharmacy does this) I was told this is not possible here and that the patients file only shows that no more refills remain but no record of what was ordered/dispensed recently. This is the LAST TIME we fill an RX at CVS there have been many issues at several stores but this was the last straw. Working nights sucks, I get it, but you got the short straw dude and are now stuck at awful, horrible 24hour CVS when you'd probably much rather be with your family, or sleeping or playing shuffleboard at the senior center (who cares) You really need to get the heck over it, and do your job with a smile on your face and an excellent attitude. read more

Worst pharmacy service ever. Prescription not ready, can't get them to answer the phone after they called me!! I watch them while still waiting to get my prescription fill after the told me it would be ready at 9:00pm. Got here at 9:15 had not even started fill the prescription yet. Said it would take 20-30 minutes. Pharmacy called me before I got here, I tried calling back and was on hold for 35 minutes before I decide to come back. Walked up to counter and get scripts. Both pharmacist we're ignoring the phone. Very poor service. I WONT RECOMMEND THIS PHARMACY TO ANYONE. Get you prescription else where!!! read more

This CVS Pharmacy is simply the worst pharmacy in the area. They seem to be understaff at all time. Prescriptions always take at least 3 hours to fill, one time it actually took 6 hours, 2 phone calls, and 15 mins of wait time by the counter. I had a major flu attack and felt like dying but the staff would not "rush" my medicine (rush as in close to 6 hours after my doctor called in for my prescription.) By the time I received my Tamiflu, it was already close to 10pm already. read more

I tried to talk to some over the phone for 3 hrs. They never picked up. Apparently, they don't pick up phones, because "it's not a priority." Not sure how they can determine whether someone's call can be considered a priority or not without first picking up the phone and finding out. One thing for sure. Slow and inefficient pharmacy services. When you call their pharmacy, they put on hold for long period of time. Secondly, they personally do not care if there is a delay on their part for a medication....Such as if they are out of stock and will promise a certain arrival date and it does not happen. I placed my order well ahead of time and they promised me that I would get my medicine on time. Here I am today with no medicine and they have delayed the order due to their negligence. They have no empathy if you are in need of the medicine.... They wouldn't care if you'd collapse or such without your medicine which was delayed because of their mismanagement. Terrible service in the pharmacy. Called to see if prescription was ready put on hold for 20 minutes. I decided to drive to the pharmacy to ask if prescription was ready, which was faxed in by my doctor. I was told prescription would be ready in 25 Came back in 25 minutes.and was asked by pharmacist if I had original prescription-again faxed by doctor office. He would not give me the prescription until he spoke to the doctor the following day. I am obviously pissed off.! It's not like I was asking for a controlled substance. Insulin machine and stripes. I have been coming to the pharmacy here since moving to Diamond Bar twenty years ago. The convenience of being able to pick up a prescription at almost any time day or night (the night pharmacist does close up shop for his "lunch" break between 2-3 a.m.) is a lifesaver. I do not understand why so many people complain about the pharmacist who is on duty at night. He is not a scintillating conversationalist, but I am not looking to engage in witty repartee at 1:00 a.m. when I have a sick kid waiting up for me at home. Neither can I understand why do so many people remark about his being Asian. I am Hispanic myself, but a large plurality of the population of Diamond Bar is Asian too. He does his job competently, albeit quietly. I acknowledge that things can get backed up if you arrive during the morning or evening "rush hour" (especially between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.). If you are one of the people who is arriving on the way home after getting off work and you are bringing a new prescription to be filled, be prepared to wait for at least half an hour. Because this store is part of a large chain and there is a pharmacist on staff 24/7, I have been able to get my prescription filled from as far afield as Las Vegas, Fort Lauderdale, and Boston. My doctor just sends it in electronically, then the pharmacy staff can transfer it from one CVS location to another. The pharmacy staff has always been perfectly polite with me. My wife is on long-term medication and we have never had a problem getting a few pills to tide her over until the pharmacy can call the doctor and get a refill for her when her prescription has expired (provided, of course, that the medication is not a Schedule 2 drug). The plethora of products offered in the rest of the store can be a real boon. Where else can you go to buy a present for an unexpected guest who drops in on Christmas Day? The prices are not as cheap as Wal-Mart, but there are often sales going on. I have used the Rite Aid on Diamond Bar Boulevard and the Sav-On inside Albertsons for one-time purchases, but I always gravitate to this CVS, read more

Very practical and convenient to have a store to go to that is open 24 hours as there isn't many places . I'm not quite sure why people complain about the staff, they seem polite and offer help when asked. I came to this cvs pharmacy after being discharged from the emergency room. Their was no one in line and a employee was helping another employee I overheard talk about benefits to get her medicine. There was another employee in the back not doing anything. I've waited 20 minutes just to drop off a prescription when there is 2 other employees in the back is ridiculous. I'm her to pick up some meds for my mother in law, after waiting some time, clerk tells me no prescriptions were ordered.I told him we are on the automatic refill system, in fact we received a phone call in forming it was here, clerk said sorry meds, that I had to go to the other window and reorder or find out what had happen. I was going to stand in line again. Went home, had wife call them, they claim meds were canceled , had to reorder, they assured her it will be done after 2 hours. This was reordered at 11am. I really don't like writing bad reviews, however.... The service is so slow in the pharmacy and this is not an isolated instance. My story: I attempt to drop off a prescription. I was running late and thought it should take no more than 5 minutes in line. I was wrong, I waited 10 minutes and had to leave. There was only one "drop off" window open and only one ahead of me. I left and returned after about an hour. The order taker finished with the person ahead of me, then turned around and left. No word, no nothing. Granted it was lunch time (11:30) but for her and the head pharmacist to leave at the same time is not a good business practice. Hey, have you heard about staggering your lunches. I flagged down another person who takes my prescription. She tells me it will be ready in 15 minutes, probably less. Past experience tells me she lives in Fantasyland. I wait 15 minutes, 20 minutes and nearly 25 minutes and my name has not been called. The pharmacist calls patrons over the intercom that is so muffled, no one can understand. I over hear a lady say that her name was called and does she need to stand in line. You guessed it, the answer was yes. The pick up line is 7 deep. I decide to leave and come back at 8pm. Oh good, there are only 2 people in line ahead of me. Unfortunately it still took 15 minutes to get to the pickup window. Why you might ask, there is only one worker at the window. In addition to prescription pickups, you can get other items scanned that are not necessarily prescription related. CVS - let the toilet paper be paid at the regular checkout and save the prescription checkout for prescriptions. I get to the window. This guy has one speed, SLOW. As I look behind me, there line has grown to nearly 10. Mr Slow continues at his pace and you would think that the 2 people filling orders would come to the register and help get the line down. Not so. I look at my prescription paper work and it says "time promised 2:20" That is a far cry from my supposed 15 minute wait at noon. I will be checking to see if I can transfer to Target. I've never seen a line there and maybe they have better customer service. read more

I have been coming to this pharmacy for a year now and every time I come, at any hour of the day, early morning or late at night, I will be waiting AT LEAST 20 minutes in line to pick up OR drop off my prescription. Never had a problem but when you ask for a medication instead of the generic version instead and it's in the notes in your account, I don't see why the pharmacists or their techs cant follow the instructions. I walked in this cvs at midnight on a Wednesday in search of a phone charger, frantic because you know, my phone was dying and I needed the gps to get home. I went in there expecting to grab the first thing I could find, and left with not only what I needed, but also the best customer service I think I've ever received in my life. Matt was so kind and helped me even though his shift was over. He then proceeded to search for the charger that was most affordable and not too expensive. The cashier was also very kind and was friendly and cheery. I never expected that 24 hour places like these would be so caring about their customers but they really wowed me. I felt as if I was in some twilight zone where everyone in this store was happy and ecstatic about customers' satisfaction. This staff deserves credit for their kindness. Thanks again! read more

I like my CVS mostly because it's 24 hours. For the most part the employees are nice. I've only ever had one employee go out of her way for me tho. I went to Urgent Care and then headed to CVS to pick up my prescription. I was the only one there so I took a seat and waited for my prescriptions to be filled. I sat there waiting patient while the male pharmacist stood at the cash register instead of filling my prescriptions. The lady who was working the register was nice to me but the pharmacist had the nerve to then tell me I looked rough around the edges. Well if my prescription was ready then I would have been home by now. Why the prescription would take over and hour to fill when no one was there is beyond me. When I looked at the receipt it said waiting. So why would I have to sit there for a half an hour waiting? Worst service and rudest pharmacist ever! read more

This store has it all. My dad is over 90 and needed things I didn't know existed. I drove 20 minutes to get it and it was the same price as amazon without the shipping. This CVS has the poorest customer service I have ever experienced! I reported them to Visa and my bank because they authorized my Visa card even though I told them to cancel the transaction. They refused to give me a receipt, even though they had charged my card and were extremely rude. Both Visa and my bank, Chase, said they are not supposed to do this. I have reported the manager and the pharmacy tech who did this to regional management. To date, I have head nothing back. read more

The city of Diamond Bar deserves better in retail service than this place... Was standing in line at checkout forever, and another clerk appears out of nowhere to staff another POS terminal. Rather than seeing the clerk approach me (as I was next to have my order rung up) as I was waiting patiently, and tell me quietly she was open on the next register, the crazy b!$ch shouts out "NEXT" and the impatient customer waiting at the very end of the queue (last one in) rushes over to be first at the newly opened POS. This is not a good citizen issue - this is a poor customer service issue. Customers will naturally be narcissistic in the retail environment, and it is up to the retail management to mediate the process so customer feel they are treated well. I tried calling the store when I got home a few minute later, but I never came off hold. Perhaps they have a pharmacy in the store 'cuz you'll need drugs after dealing with these people.
