Super convenient downtown location, but the hours are not convenient at all. It would also be nice if this CVS sold wine and beer.

Current pharmacist can never fill the seven scripts my husband gets each month. He has been on the same meds for years. Nothing changes! I get each month I am so tired of him not having all the scripts filled. The RenCen since Covid is a major pain to get into. I do not understand why pharmacist hassles on filling. I also waited 39 min to attempt to complain. When the girl answered two min latterly I noted she never asked my name or pharmacy I was referring to, that she Should not work customer service when she apparently did not care enough to get basic details. I asked to speak with someone else, and she hung up. CVS does not need my business which has been my entire adult life. Time to move business elsewhere! Bring on the New Year! Good bye CVS take your business elsewhere say no to CVS!

I love this CVS!…read more Being in the heart of downtown Detroit, I love the convenient option of having a CVS and pharmacy close to my work office. I don't even have to go outside to visit this CVS. Not only will I be transferring my medications to this store, but I can see myself dropping in frequently for some inexpensive sweets and office goodies. I loved the easy self-checkout stations. These help customers ring their own items up without having to wait in line for a cashier. There are at least 3 stations available. So, if the cashier is busy, you can easily self-checkout. I forgot my CVS card in my purse, so I was able to look up my information with my phone number. A few take aways.. The pharmacy is popular. It seems a lot of traffic uses this location, which means there are long lines during peak hours (lunch). Try to go early in the morning or mid-afternoon, after lunch. Also, I noticed a few grocery items are a bit pricier than other CVS stores. I would aquate this to priemier location prices. For instance, you may be charged higher at the airport than you would at a local store. Nonetheless, I love the convenience of walking to the CVS to get my last minute treats.

I'm destitute. I'm worth negative $250,000. But V always says to take the absolute value and then I…read morehave lots of money! I went to PharMor because the Rite Aid down the block didn't carry peak flow meters (a home device used to monitor daily asthma). I knew this place existed and it carried medical supplies. That's how I met Sammi, Chief Pharmacist, of this particular PharMor Pharmacy (which is a Detroit owned independent pharmacy). Let me explain: despite living very close two both a CVS and a Rite Aid BOTH do not seem to have the meds I need in stock all the time. Which is shocking, or ought to be shocking. One day, I ran out of medications and I went down Woodward stopping at nearly every CVS/Rite Aid to get a perscription filled. The closest pharmacy that would consistently have the medications I needed? Yeah, the CVS on 13 mile and Woodward (so, about 13 miles from where I live). And CVS was charging me my first born to fill my scripts (more than $100). Side note: has anyone felt like they only build CVS and Rite Aids anymore? They are everywhere! One one every block, and more coming! I told Sammi this sad story. He looks a little shocked, but asks what meds I needed regularly that I couldn't find in Detroit. I told him and one by one, he shows me that yes, they actually really do carry my meds. I also lamented that I was in between insurances and I couldn't pay out of pocket $100+ despite the fact I needed my prescription refilled. Sammi said no problem, $30. My jaw dropped to the floor, folks. I thought he was totally pulling my leg. Teasing me to come in and get the script refilled by him. Sure enough a day later, and just as broke, I came back to have my prescription filled -- he was true to his word and charged me only $30. I seriously almost cried. I never ever had someone go out of their way at a pharmacy to help me out before. I have never been treated with so much respect from the pharmacy staff. I never thought I would go to an independent pharmacy! *AND* I never thought an independent pharmacy would be cheaper than CVS (it just never occurred to me that different places could charge a different amount for the same drug). The pros of going to PharMor over CVS or Rite Aid: - because of it's independence the pharmacist can and WILL find a way to make your prescriptions affordable - they have a great referral program (refer a friend, get $25 off) - they have almost any med you would need in stock - their generics aren't "crap" generics (there is a debating difference between generic manufacturers) - you are supporting a local business and what I thought was for sure dead: local pharmacies - you won't get told "oh, it'll be 15 minutes" and it ends up being a half an hour -- they will fill it in 10 minutes or less - although not 24 hours, they ARE open on Saturday (open, on a Saturday? In Detroit?! Whoa.) - you can email your pharmacist (just look them up on the website) I'm quite sure Sammi is just as good of a business man as he is a pharmacist -- because I'm hooked. No more long hauls up Woodward just to get my scripts filled. Salvation! There's more than the 1 location that I am writing about, there are quite a few surrounding the DMC -- and several more out in the suburbs: http://mypharmor.com/My_PharMor/Locations.html
