Ehh... when it comes to pharmacies, they are often sleazy and unpresentable, (especially Walgreens...) but this one fairly decent. If I'm ever in downtown Danvers, I'll typically stop at this CVS to get some simple things, like a bottle of Coca-Cola, or a nice candy bar, and when I ever have to go in with my mom, I she may get some nasal spray or something at the well-functioning pharmacy area. Today we received a text from CVS Danvers MA (Maple Street) that the script was ready for pickup. We got there and the pharmacy was closed. 6PM and they didn't know when it would be opened again. We could not get any script from them even though it was ready. Wow that's horrible and dangerous. The employees there didn't give a damn. Sad. read more

I went to this location because they were open late night. I parked at the back of the building and entered via the rear entrance. 15 mins later I made my purchase and went to leave and was told I would have to leave via the front entrance as they already locked the back door. The woman said it was for safety reasons. What was that? I said I was not feeling safe having to walk all the way around the building just before midnight. Maybe this location should show more concern for their patrons and tell the staff to plan in staying an extra one minute to lock both doors at closing. I'll never return to this location. I would suggest anyone going there late night park out front if you can. Very upset about the lack of concern for my safety especially after I voiced my concern. read more

Had and awful experience at Walgreens today/tonite. Over an hour wait to speak to someone concerning my prescription. Come to find out/ they don't answer the phones . Had doctor call it in to CVS. It went perfect. They answered right away. No delays. It was filled with in 30 minutes. Very impressed. Thank you CVS! read more

I am an instacart shoper and was just shopping for a customer at this cvs location,after i parked my truck,i proceeded to enter to rear entrance,had to push myself and my wife through a gro up of extremley rude,ignorant,!@#$%^& kids,once in the store,was harrassed by the group both my wife and i,then they rode their bikes through the store,popping wheels and being rude and offensive.no one did anything,i had to have the manager called 2-3 times rhen he finnally came out as me and a REAL GOOD EMPLOYEE the only employee that acctually gave a shit,came with me for back up as we both said the cops are coming,no security,the pharmacy even saw all trhus happening and did nothing but blamed my wife and i saying this was our fault.i will be contacting cvs corporate, From A very upset and pissed off now former cvs customer. Was treated so poorly when I called into fill my prescription. I get my prescriptions here all of the time but it is one headache after the next. They are never able to fill it and tell me to call in advance and I do and they still have issues.... I hear the same story every single time. Today I called to reiterate my store and was rudely interrupted by the woman who answered the phone. I go here because the location is ideal and close to home. I am considering taking my business elsewhere or to another location such as Peabody, so I can deal with more pleasant people. read more

This particular location is very accommodating, and the staff is extremely personable and friendly. The layout is just like any other CVS, and they do keep it clean and well put together. If you cannot get parking out front, there is ample parking in the back lot. read more

CVS Danvers female pharmacist was very rude! I had 2 greeting cards in my hand and there was a long line in the front of the store. As I approached the pharmacy, where there were NO customers, the nasty pharmacist told me they are only taking prescriptions at the pharmacy register. I put the 2 cards down and went to another CVS pharmacy on Endicott St. in Danvers where I got much better service. Shame on the pharmacist ... the cashier at the Endicott St. CVS said the pharmacist is not supposed to do that! The pharmacy wasn't busy and no one was there waiting for prescriptions!!! read more

the old bait and switch practice is kept alive and well at this location. I receive countless emails from CVS for discounts and free products. Today, 4/29/13, I received an email regarding a free item if you were to scan your CVS card, a card I've had for years, at a "Coupon Center". I did just this and received 5 coupons - not one of them were for this free item. I looked them over and over and over, and it's just not there. I was guaranteed a free item through a deal that just doesn't exist. I started walking around thinking, "What should I get instead?", which was when I realized, "This is EXACTLY what they want, to get me to shop and not give me anything despite their original offer!". So I walked out. This experience is exactly BAIT AND SWITCH. There's no argument about it, it's very black and white, despite us living in a grey world. To let you know, the free item is (should have been) a candy bar. I didn't want to write that in before as you would have thought I was a pathetic fat person while reading this. I get my family's prescriptions filled at this location and I never have anything bad to say about the pharmacy staff & the service. The front end of the store however is a completely different story!! Service is always horrible and if you go during a busy time forget it, always a line! After everytime I am in there I always leave thinking "it's got to get better" and it still hasn't! Ugh! I love cvs and it's the only one local :( I wish someone would put effort into revamping the staff and stop making the costumer feel like they are an inconvenience ! read more

I had a prescription filled here instead of my usual Walgreens and this place is hands down the WORST place to deal with at least for me. 1st time I brought in the prescription, they asked for my health card to register me in their system and were having a problem, asked me to come back for the prescription and that my card would be with it while they dealt with the system issue. I came back later, they couldn't find my prescription or my card. 20 minutes later I left with my script but no card. Had to order a new one. I have since re-filled the prescription 4x. I order in advance and get a text when ready, EVERY SINGLE time I go in for pick-up, they claim it's not ready (I produce text for proof), then they can't find the filled script. If I wasn't so annoyed, it would almost be comical as I can predict the sequence of events....check 300 bins, check counter, check computer, check bins again, consult with pharmacist in back, check computer, script is always right on top of counter. Every @#$@# time. I just don't understand why they are so disorganized at this pharmacy. I need to transfer this script before I lose my mind. On a positive note, there is an older woman that works the front register who is very polite and efficient. I think she replaced the crotchety older woman that a previous reviewer mentioned. read more

I worked here for four years of my life. I loved most of my co-workers and was annoyed by most of the customers. This store (#1181) keeps pretty clean and has a cooperative staff, but unless something is on sale, it is way overpriced. read more

My husband works in Danvers square, so I'm often in the area doing odds and ends. I've visited this CVS on numerous occasions due to its location and almost 100% of the time I head over here looking for a generic, easily located item in any CVS... it's not here. I don't think they do a great job stocking their shelves. I end up wandering the store aimlessly looking to purchase something else (so it's not a complete waste of time) and end up buying a beverage or something else stupid only to be greeted by slow people at the check-out. I don't even know why I keep coming in here, this place needs a major overhaul. read more

I went into my nearby CVS to pick up a prescription and purchase a couple of household items. I didn't have trouble finding any of the products I needed and the staff on the floor were friendly enough. As I made my way to the prescription counter to pick up my prescription and check out I was "handled" by Sage. She didn't introduce herself or greet me (her name is printed on the receipt) but no big deal, she was probably working a long shift I imagined. Turns out my prescription wasn't present, which again, no big deal as my doctors have made the mistake of sending medication to the wrong CVS before. What I could not bear was her attitude and general unprofessionalism. When I told her I'd worry about the prescription later and all I'd need right now was to check out for my TWO items she replied with a sigh. When I tried to use Apple Pay (on the equipment that's set up to take wireless payment) she told me they don't accept Apple Pay , ok no problem, tried to use the chip on my card and her response was a scowl and "I just told you we don't take Apple Pay." They're two different types of systems, just saying. But even then I held a smile and tried to put myself in her shoes. After swiping my card the screen went blank and I couldn't enter my pin. After something like 15 seconds Sage says "Can you just enter your pin or do something." Sage, wish I could... When the screen finally came back online I entered my pin and payment started processing, but good ole Sage had the gall to tell me to hurry up again. We're waiting on the system not me. Sage, take some advice. Leave your frustrations outside of work. And for the record I'm 24 and was on my way to work, this is not a case of me making the transaction unreasonably long. I get Sage didn't want to be there, and neither did I, but why make it into a terrible transaction for both parties? read more

There's a cashier, a shorter middle aged woman I find rude and abrupt. Go to another location of cvs or walgreens is right down the street.

Standard CVS experience. I had to go find a cashier to help me and the people in line behind me. Then when she finally came up she was rude. I guess she was bothered that I needed her to do her job. Most convenience stores keep someone at the counter. read more

I go to this CVS almost everyday of my life. Most of the people are super nice but tonight I encountered two super rude people who don't actually care about the customer at all. They basically told me they didn't want to help me. I went in with a company credit card, that just said the company name on it... They asked for an ID... I said " theres no name on the card, what are you going to ID"... I had my shirt from work on with the company name on it, I showed them my paycheck from the company. They said that they couldn't accept it because it wasn't a "real credit card"... It had a Visa Logo, what about it wasn't real. read more
