I have had multiple frustrating experiences at this CVS Pharmacy while trying to pick up my prescriptions. On several occasions, I was told staff could not locate my medication, and no one seemed willing or able to properly investigate the issue. After spending significant time trying to get help, I finally asked to speak with a supervisor or someone in a higher position. Remarkably, they located my prescription within just a couple of minutes. However, there were still issues they they didn't care to help me solve. This has happened more than once, which makes me question the level of training and communication among the pharmacy staff. Prescription pickups can be stressful enough without having to repeatedly advocate for yourself just to receive medication that is already there. I hope management provides additional training and improves customer service so future patients don't experience the same frustration. The staff appeared poorly trained, lacked knowledge of pharmacy procedures, and were unable to resolve a basic issue without management intervention. And management seemed unqualified, obtuse, incompetent, and overall unpleasant. If higher up can't even do the job correctly, dear Lord please help us all. read more

Wow, what a difference it makes to have kind and caring professionals work here at the CVS Coit & Alpha versus a bad experience I had at another nearby CVS location (Coit & Belt Line.) I came here after that location suggested I try this location for a "walk in" Covid booster. I went to the Pharmacy counter and was greeted by Hanan and she genuinely wanted to help. She explained that we must be in their system in order to administer the vaccine. She asked if I could make the appointment on my phone. I said I would go back home and do it on my computer because that would be easier for me, plus it was lunchtime and I was hungry. I went home and was able to make the appointment for 3:00 that afternoon on my computer. Hubby and I both came back at 3:00 and the Pharmacy was much busier at this time, but we were still treated with respect and they got everyone taken care of. We had to wait for two other customers that were ahead of us to get their shots and then we received our shot from Tigist Gebteyesus, the Pharmacy Tech. She was very friendly and did a great job giving us our shots. She updated our Covid-19 Vaccination Cards that I brought with us. I went out of my way to ask for their names because both Hanan and Tigist went above and beyond and are true examples of providing excellent customer service. read more

This is probably one of the most appalling and disturbing experiences I've ever had at any retail store, let alone any CVS location. After asking for a shopping cart or basket, I was ridiculed by the associate as she yelled at me "we ain't got no baskets here". I was quite taken back and made a comment that they might want to get some shopping carts into this location. Five minutes later Dallas PD is tapping me on the shoulder while standing at the self checkout counter and the officer proceeds to physically assault me without charging me with any crime or lawful detainment. The associate who professes to be the GM begins making up all kinds of accusations, that I was disturbing the other customers, cursing at everyone, etc. a complete and utter lie. I'm actually now seeking damages as this was a willful attempt to weaponize the police by making false statements, and knowingly submitting a false police report. 12 Dallas cops showed up and tried to intimidate me, bully me, and violated my constitutional rights while doing so. I'm loyal to CVS, and this was encounter was one off and not typical in my many years of shopping many CVS locations. read more

This CVS has the essentials that one would need from any other store alike . Some of the reviews rate this store as bad, but I haven't experienced that. I get what I need. If I need assistance, someone is always there. The photo center worked and when I had difficulty getting my USB to work, one of the guys there helped. read more

although I admit being able check yourself out in a busy store and having that as an option is not a bad idea. However, I do not always want to bother with trying to check myself out, especially if I have something like a prescription, alcohol, or other products that might require a cashier to come over and scan a card or something. But when a company such a CVS has it to where it's mandatory that I checked myself out, where they block off all the cash registers, where management in there inability to perform their job does not schedule enough Personnel to cover the floor and the registers because of some corporate downsizing or inability to maintain a profit margin, I draw the line. I will ring myself up, but everything Irene up will be left at the cash register regardless of who is buying me and I will walk out. If you're going to mandate that a customer check themselves out and perform an employee's job, then you should give that customer at least a 15 to 25% discount for saving your corporation a buck. It is extremely apparent that a company who is incapable of maintaining a reasonable profit margin to properly staff and employees enough Personnel to operate a store, should compensate their customers for having to basically work for them. read more

This is by far the worst CVS, ever. I have lived close to this location but choose to drive to the Walnut Hill location. My husband's doctor accidentally sent his new prescription (non transferable) to this CVS instead of the wonderful one on Walnut Hill. I always go through the drive thru and use my CVS App to pick up our family's prescriptions. The tech, Amy Oliver, had me give her my phone instead of using the hand scanner. I gave her the phone and discount card. She said I would need to come back in 1/2 an hour because she needed to clear the transaction and start over to add the discount. There was no one behind me in the drive thru, so I asked her why it takes longer here then other CVS's. She said the other stores must have more people. Since there were only two customers when I came in it didn't look like they would need more people but what do I know. I went inside to wait. Amy kept waiting on other customers as I sat there. Finally the Pharmacist Jennifer called me over and seemed suprised that I was waiting. She said the prescription was ready. Jennifer was going to have me wait for Amy to check me out but realized it would be better for her to do it herself. She said she was trying to make it right. I hope so. It is frustrating and I know I'm not the only one. read more

The pharmacy does get pretty crazy here, I guess they just have a ton of orders to fill. I've always called in my prescription in the morning and then just picked it up either after work or maybe at lunch if the pharmacist that answered didn't sound too flustered. The store is organized and well stocked from what I have noticed, and yes, the prices are a bit higher than if you went to a grocery store or walmart, but this is definitely the closest thing to me, and I run over for items that I find myself in need of. They do run pretty good deals, and if you make use of your CVS card you rack up dollars to use each quarter. I've never had any issues with any employees and the managers all seemed helpful AND willing to offer help. This location is not 24 hour, but the store part is open until midnight. Great when you feel a cold coming on at 10 and you want something to cut if off then! Or for that random sweet tooth...guilty. read more

We have quit patronizing this location for a few reasons...1) we have had them mess up our prescriptions a few times and 2) there are almost always some shady characters outside asking for money. If it is dark, and you park on the north side of the building, I can almost guarantee you will get asked for money. Walgreens is just about a mile away, I suggest to you that it a mile well travelled. read more

Do NOT come here if you are in a hurry. Every employee I have encountered moves slower than a snail... Literally. Sure, they are nice, but everybody is "nice". I went in to grab a few Gatorades as we were moving in a few blocks down and needed hydration. I stood in line behind 4 people, with one cashier working. I don't think his limbs could move any slower. 15 full minutes later, and one patron finally checked out, he calls for backup. Could you not have done that earlier??!?!? The best part is, another employee sulks out of the back room and inches his way towards the registers. I swear the second guy actually slowed the process down further. Is that possible? I want to like this place and count on it as I live so close, but it is THE worst "convenience" store. And yes, I've been here a handful of times, and similar situations occur each time. read more

Worst Experienced ever!! I was getting ready to check out and they would accept 40% off coupon. Cashier kept saying nope it doesn't work, I don't know why. Called the manager. James came up while chewing gum very loudly like a cow chomping down on grass. First of all if you were the manager you should know how to interact with customers. I asked why Groupon is not working he stated "if you read your coupon it Should say exclude sale item" even though I was not buying multiple items I was only purchasing one item. I am highly disappointed with this pharmacy and poor customer service at this location. I am from out of town and this particular location was the closest to my hotel, not close enough to walk to so an Uber was necessary. I was advised my prescription was ready via text and came to pick it up. Not knowing they close for lunch, I arrived and was told they had to close for lunch, I explained my situation that I wasted an Uber drive to come here and Thuy Bui did not budge to help and that they had to lunch. First, I never was told at drop off they close for lunch, secondly I find it poor management that all pharmacy employees go to lunch at the same time leaving no coverage in case someone came in in need of their prescriptions. The fact that Thuy did not care to check me out with my prescription due to my out of town situation (with no car) really disappoints me as a customer. She also knew I was in need of my prescription with the pain I was in when I initially dropped off my prescription and to know she would have me wait till they came back from lunch find it very disturbing. I would hope the staff in charge would review this situation and see how they could've made the negative experience to a positive one for someone else. So I took my child's prescription they told me to come back an hour later but I couldn't so I took an extra hour by the time I made it they couldn't even find her in the system so then 15 minutes later they tell me they will have to order it and to come back tomorrow. 30 hours later I show up to pick it up and all he says to me is; sorry ma'am we didn't get it. This is by far the worst CVS I've ever been to. The first time I came in I got a shampoo which was locked up and I had to search for/stand in line to find someone to unlock it. Once I wrangled an employee she unlocked the shampoo from the case brought it up to the counter and proceeded to ignore me and ring up someone else. The other times I've been in the people ringing me up at the counter were on the phone, not the store phone mind you, but there own personal cell phones. The only positive is that they're open til midnight and its by the Best Western. read more

I have phoned this CVS several times to report they have a wrong number. We keep getting a Rx pick up or refill request for Nicolas. There is no one here by that name. Today I called again, and spoke with David. He was dismissive and only took my number after I asked him if he needed it so he could look up his patient and update his system. WORST CVS I have ever been to. I live right down the street so its a convenient location but I've stopped going altogether after 2 years because it proved to be a very frustrating experience every time and seemed to be getting worse. Every time I went in there was a line at least 3 people deep, sometimes over 12 people and they rarely put more than one person on the register. It is just a very poorly managed location. I cannot tell you how many people I have seen this store piss off. I've moved on to Walgreens, which is cheaper anyways. read more

I am on vacation and not feeling well and this CVS was located right around the corner from my hotel so i was able to walk there when my rental car's battery died. I was able to find exactly what i needed and one item was on sale. It was clean and well stocked and i was able to walk back quickly and take some meds. read more

Poor customer service, long wait times, pharmacists that don't know anything including your name even when looking at your account, and did I mention I typically have to visit 2 times to actually receive my Rx's even when I've receive the text saying it was ready! I won't be giving any star if I could the way being treated by Augustine at CVS. Today was an unfortunate day that got ruined by Augustine, a CVS employee that was less than helpful to me. I came in today at 9.45pm after calling earlier to ask about Passport Photo service and someone on the phone confirmed that its ok as long as it was before 10pm. I was asking questions about the cost for 6 photos and was just replied with very unhelpful manner. I asked if there was a bundle that have more than the usual 2 prints for $12.99 at a cheaper/bundle cost. Augustine was very reluctant and dismissive when I tried to ask more questions about that. He also showed very dismissive attitude when I asked if he could just try show me on the machine if it might have a selection of additional bundle than the usual 2 photos. He started talking louder and impatient and looked like he rather restock or something else he wanted to do after reluctantly showing me the selection on the machine. I understand that it was late but I was expecting the usual cheery and helpful manner CVS employees would normally answer your questions. He spoiled the rest of my night with that kind of attitude and I had to leave CVS with very disappointed feeling being treated like that. read more

The first "sign" of trouble, if you will pardon this pun, is that all of their exterior signage was burnt out in some way. A letter here, a flood light there and such an incomplete electronic message display, it was a puzzle to figure out what their featured sales items were driving up to the place. Inside, at the pharmacy counter, I endured what could hardly have been better scripted as a Keystone Cops-Meet-Pharmacology skit demonstrating bumbling, incompetent, clueless white lab-coated employees making every misstep imaginable with half a dozen increasingly angry patrons, a drive thru window, and phone calls announced annoyingly by a synthesized voice-over-speaker every 5 seconds until they answered. No one wore nametags as if they had learned their lesson against doing so 5 complaint letters ago. Someone from the licensing institution should inspect their training program and decertify the unqualified associates for the sake of customer sanity and safety. read more

I had an emergency, my baby's Phenobarbital was almost out, frantic I called the doctor who called it in personally to this CVS. I called that evening & they told me to call back in the AM to see when it was ready. I expressed it was time sensitive & I needed it by 7pm. The next morning (today) I called again to check that everything was alright with the script & we could have it in hand by 7pm - the pharmacist said absolutely and that he just needed a little more information (DOB, current address, etc.) I waited & called the store a few hours later & was told that they only had 2 people but it's be ready. At 4pm I still hadn't heard back so I called and a female pharmacist said they still needed DOB, I asked if it could be ready in an hour? She put me on hold & came back & said they didn't even have any -let's ignore the fact that this pharmacy is out of one of the oldest & widely used drugs for seizures. So she called & said the only pharmacy she could find was 20 mins away, so fine I said send them the script & I'll be on my way, nope I have to call the new pharmacy & ask them to call this CVS. So I did & again expressed the urgency as it was nearing 5pm, I hadn't heard back from the new pharmacy- so I just headed that way. When I got there I asked if it was ready, the guy said it wasn't in the system, a guy in the back said, yeah you were supposed to call your pharmacy & have them send us the RX. I said I did more than 30 mins ago, he says oh yeah we just haven't called them back yet?!? The new pharmacy says 20 minutes... 45 minutes later & in tears I finally had the meds in hand. CVS- if I say I need it today, probably check that you actually have more than an hour before it's due. read more
