We're not bakers, so I went to Harris Teeter to see if they had a boxed cake that we could use somehow. I arrived when Maria had just opened the Bakery area and she was all alone. I saw many beautiful cakes ready in the refrigerated cases but none were perfect. I asked her if there was any way that she could add a name to one of the cakes for me. Not only did Maria do this for me quickly - she did it with a smile. The cake was perfect! She told me that she did not make the cake herself and just added the name. It was just so wonderful that I started my day with this lovely woman. She made me cry and we gave each other a hug. The cake was beautiful and delicious too!

Later, when I went to the register to pay for my purchase, she was r on her phone, but she still did not greet us, ask if we had rewards, or say thank you after completing the transaction. I understand that there may have been a situation that required her to use her phone, and I respect that emergencies can happen. I got an email saying that my order had been received and it gave me a time they would be ready. Went to pick them up the next day instead of the same day and they had just finished printing. Good thing I didn't go the same day. The lady behind the counter asked if I had received an email that said they were ready. I didn't know that I would receive one. I just thought they would be ready at the time on the first email. My bad...never should assume anything. Evidently there is a shortage in photo paper especially the 4"x6". The cost was great and the quality of the photos was very good. I'd definitely use them again but I would double check that they are ready before I head to pick them up. (Make sure you get that second email!)

UPDATE: I had the chance to go to this neighborhood Walgreens again to get vaccination update for…read morework, this time went a bit smoother. The process to look at and schedule an appointment on the Walgreens app continues to be pretty good with continued excellent availability and scheduling ease. The form fill-out process on the app appeared to be successful this year as opposed to the last experience. The only snag was the online check-in process was not optimal as it continued to say they were not open yet when it was past time for opening after lunch and staff had returned. This one thing was remedied by check-in at the desk/counter in the pharmacy itself, so not a big deal. I was seen in a very timely manner, and the healthcare professional performing the actual vaccination process was thorough, answering any questions, making sure all documentation as well as the vaccination itself was completed with efficiency. This visit was a more positive experience than last, definitely.

After a much anticipated wait, first time visiting after they've only been open about a week…read more Overall most of the store is clean and bright and fully stocked, but the drink area and condiment area needed some cleanup. As you'll see in the photos, there's lots of flavor choices for Slurpie's. I was surprised to see a sign on the ice dispenser for the fountain drinks that already is not working. The floor in front of the drinks was litered with paper from a straws, as was the counter behind it, that also had a spilled drink on it which all made for a sticky and messy look. There's a seating area around the corner from it with just a couple tables and a counter area with tall chairs by the front window area. In an aisle before the drink area are hot dogs cooking on a roller contraption. The condition of the condiment area next to it made even the thought of getting one a turn off. I saw a small bakery area behind glass near the checkout and next to it pizza by the slice. There was a big sign when I walked in about a free pizza on their app so check that out. When I got to the cash register what looked like a manager was training an employee on something. Hopefully cleanup in the drink and condiment area will be on the agenda. Anyway, he quickly came over and rang me up. He was nice enough. I do hope they can tidy up the areas mentioned otherwise it'll be just another sticky floor drink area like too many other convenience stores leaving the bottom of customers shoes a mess. Oh, they have a drive thru car wash and at least for now gas is just $3.04 a gallon.
