Jimmy W, has great customer service, and wonderful personality. He greeted me with a smile, and asked if there was anything he could do to help me with. Jimmy, was able to answer questions regarding products within the store. He is quite observant, was capable to multi-task. While, I continued to shop, I'd asked if he would hold my items at counter, and he was more than happy to do so. Christmas morning and getting a few final things before the day. I am one who really try's to be equally minded with people who have different opinions on life and faith. HOWEVER, this morning was beyond the pale. Was checking out and an EMPLOYEE was checking people out at the cashier next to me. She was jovial and wishing people Merry Christmas etc. As I am leaving the store, as loud as can be she says "2017 is going to be a terrible year with Trump in and Obama out. Oh...." Not acceptable. i actually really like this drugstore. there is a great selection of items and i like the beauty selection is better than walgreens. one time, there was a buy1 get 2nd 50% off for an item. my mom and i decided to take advantage of it and took two. when it rung up, it charged full price. we asked the cashier and she didnt know so we went back to the aisle and asked a worker there & they said the tags werent ripped off as supposed to; basically the sale was for last week and ended already but they didnt take the tags off. she kindly told us she will give us our money back (which was only a few bucks). good service :) read more

AVOID THIS PHARMACY - THEY DELETED MY PRESCRIPTION. I spent HOURS on the phone and SEVERAL DAYS going in between them, my doctor's office and insurance company because THEY had lost information. After it finally got approved, there's no medicine to picked up because somehow my prescription was DELETED. (I saw the prescription on the CVS website for several days prior, up to this morning and now it's gone!) I called them to ask about it, and they put me on hold indefinitely. So they lost my prescription AND continued to waste my time. Sorry, but I'm taking all my prescriptions elsewhere! read more

Anyone who thinks all chain stores are the same should take a look at the Longs to CVS buyout. Longs stores were generally quite nice, well-stocked, fairly friendly staff, and had some variance from community to community so that each store had a little bit of personality. CVS is just awful. AWFUL! I went in today to buy one over-the-counter medicine that they have a generic version of, and looked for four other things on my shopping list. Three of them they didn't have at all, the fourth they had an acceptable substitute. I also tried to mail a package ... since they had a big sign on the door saying MAIL YOUR PACKAGES HERE. I waited for a long time at the counter that had a big SHIPPING CENTER sign. The woman at the counter stared at me blankly when I told her I wanted to mail a package. "I don't know how to do that! Only Steve knows how to do that! And he's at lunch!" Finally a nicer clerk took over and spent ten minutes trying to figure out how to use the postage machine....besides quoting me a price about double the post office's rate, she never could figure it out. Saved $2 on my generic medicine, wasted about fifteen minutes of my time. Also, the insistence on having your CVS identity card is loathsome. The Walgreens in the adjacent shopping center, while nothing to write home about, makes this place look like Neiman Marcus. read more

BIG STORE with the worst lay-out. Not customer friendly. I find it very difficult to find anything here. The lay-out just does not work. It is very odd and inconvenient. The people here are like robots, you could tell that they were told to say what they say, like a script or something. Talk to me like a human being you know what I mean. I think people appreciate it when you are being yourself and not just saying the same script everytime. I feel bad but I am sorry it's just I prefer human conversations that what the corporate scripts tells you to say. read more

Discrimination! Stay away if you are coupon-er or like to take advantages of any coupons. the workers do NOT like you. They will look down on you. They will give you a look or complain in front of you when the coupon couldn't scan. They are not happy when you save a lot using coupons. As a coupon-er, we do spend times to do our research on how to use and combine coupons and sales to maximize our savings. read more

Do not...repeat do not set foot in this place. Once u cross the threshold you are entering into a hell dimension. One sample only...I called ahead to see if they had a particular medication in stock. They would not give me this info over the phone. Every other cvs I called was eager to provide this information without hesitation. Unfortunately because it's a rather esoteric drug I had trouble finding it. I decided to take my chances and paid them a visit. I was on crutches so the fact that the pharmacy was two blocks away from the entrance (ok 200 yards) did make me a tad fatigued and a little irritable but anyway..there was only one person working the prescription drop off counter and it took 25 minutes to process two people ahead of me. When I did get to the counter the woman informed me that I would have to wait 30 minutes until the pharmacist returned (from where u don't know) in order to tell me if they had the drug in stiock. The store was dirty, unorganized, understaffed and sleazy. read more

I love the staff here!! The front register people are great, especially Kathy and Alicia. (Hope I got the names right.) Also, I was helped with hair products and make-up by Kesha yesterday, she is so knowledgeable, and friendly, didn't pressure me to buy everything in sight!! If sometimes there is a wait in line, don't blame the clerks. Wow what happened to CVS since the new year started? I've always had a pleasant time here especially in the pharmacy cause their service was lightning fast! Can't tell you the number times that I went and my script was ready to pick up less than 5 mins later. NOW though, the wait is about 45 mins.. They're so freaking SLOW. The pharmacy is very incompetent. If you are in a hurry for a refill, this is not the place to be. Normally, if you have a doctor's prescription, a refill should be done in a few minutes. Not this CVS, 7 to 10 days is what you should expect. Mixed up with other people's prescription is routine. Again, simply put, if you are a patient, this is not where you want to be. Besides, they have a lot of they own rules. As far as delay is concerned, the staff to patients ratio is 6 to 1, yet you still have to wait for about 10 minutes at least because they don't want to break up their chat. read more

Had a great experience filling my prescription here compared to Walgreens. Friendly, uber helpful staff, excellent communication both in-person and via text/calls, very responsive to working with my physician, did not have a long wait and they made suggestions to help me save money and deal with insurance. read more

This has to be among the worst. Most recently, I had a message from an employee advising that a prescription was ready but out of stock and would be ready the next day. When I called to check on it, they had no record and refused to do any other than re-request the refill from my doctor who of course would say he filled it and it is too early for refills. A waste of everyone's time. This is not the first time this has happened. Then there was the time I went to pick a prescription I have been taking and they had been filling for about a decade and never been required a consult with the pharmacist. On this occasion they insisted that the pharmacist be there for me to waive the consult. She of course was out to lunch and I had to wait. She was actually in the store but refused to say OK for me to waive the consult because she was on her break. What kind of service is this? read more

Went to their Minute Clinic for a very standard case of bronchitis which I have been known to get over the years. Their protocol on bronchitis is to phone the on staff physician. This physician would not prescribe the medicine I am commonly treated with and which the on staff PA agreed I needed. Waste of time and money. And now at an Urgent Care. read more

The absolute worst pharmacy ever! I've actually watched the staff completely ignore calls on hold opting to continue personal conversations. Their personal conversations take precedence even when a customer is waiting to drop off a prescription. I was told they would help me in just a minute. Then they went on with their conversation for roughly two more minutes. But the most egregious service was when I was told they didn't have my medication in stock. They told me they would have to order it. Fortunately I didn't need it right away. Two weeks later I checked on the prescription and was told the medication was on backorder. They didn't have the decency or the intelligence to let me know. I checked with another CVS. They had the medication in stock. They told me that medication was fairly easy to get and is not usually, nor currently, on backorder. The pharmacy staff at the Burlingame location are inept, unintelligent, and self-absorbed. They should be ashamed of themselves, but are too ignorant to realize it. read more

I have filled my prescription twice in this CVS and believe me it will be my last. The pharmacists are rude and incompetent. Especially the older blond woman with black glasses and hair in a bun. She is a total !!!!!!bitch!!!!! and believe me I am being kind. The only person with some education and good costumer service is the younger woman with blond hair, she is friendly and is the only one there that seems to know what she is doing. has an awful terrible experience today with pharmacy technician Amy and pharmacist Melita.picked up a couple of refills and when I asked if there was a third was told by Amy-no that's it."she then went to a computer terminal about 30 feet away from the counter where I was standing and preceded to call out the names of various drugs I take to see what I was missing,I asked her to come over to the counter and ask,rather than call it out loud.Called the pharmacist later to complain and she said there was nobody in earshot,so what was the problem,it doesn't matter,you don't ask somebody 30 feet away what drug they are on,What if I was on HIV meds-are they going to ask that out loud.Unprofessional and no regard for privacy.And they were both snotty and rude. read more

I wish I can give it a 0 Star. This CVS is the worst CVS I have ever been to! The manager name Rick is incompetent, does not know how to handle a customer and rude. He said "You are making a bid deal out of nothing." First off, I am not making a big deal. Second, that is bad customer service, you do not say that to a customer. Third, you especially do not say that in front coworkers and other customers. I was not yelling, screaming nor kicking. I was merely telling you what I know regarding this situation. You can disagree and apologize that you cannot help but do not proceed and accuse of making a big deal out of nothing. Actually, because Rick from Burlingame CVS was so rude, I had to make a YELP account to complain and warn other consumers not to go here. In fact, please refer to the Walgreens across the street. Pricing will be competitive and expect better customer service. In fact, I will put my money where my mouth is and start shopping there from now on. Goodbye to that one lady who is nice at CVS.
