First of all, I pretty much stopped coming…read morehere for several years as I just didn't enjoy it at all so after striking out at two other grocery stores looking for puff pastry a few days before Christmas, this was my last shot before I threw in the towel. As I pulled in I had no expectations and if anything just figured it wouldn't be great based off of previous visits a decade ago. All that to be said, when I walked in I was pleasantly surprised by the updated look of the place. They've obviously put some effort into modernizing the store and it showed. I made my way over to where pie crusts are and voila, there she was, my puff pastry! Only a few left but I found it and was elated. Checkout was a breeze and while this store isn't as convenient to me as it was a decade ago, it's good to know it's around and that it does deliver when you are in a pinch.

I have always had very kind and friendly customer service at this location. However, today a very…read morekind lady named Kristie (I believe) helped me and for some reason, the coffee was not ringing up the advertised perks price, despite her putting my perks number in manually and then trying to scan it. No matter what she did despite her efforts it just wasn't working. There was an issue with the system. She kindly asked for some help to fix it from another employee named Krista (I believe) and she couldn't seem to be bothered and just acted as if Kristie didn't know what she was doing. So, Eduardo (I know this is correct) came over and very rudely and condescendingly kept saying things like "she (referring to me) is not a perks member" and Kristie said, it says right here she is. I showed him my card ( I have been a member and registered with the new setup as well for over 6 years at least). Kristie informed Eduardo that this is the 3rd or 4th perks member that hasn't worked so far this morning. His response was "Well that's a corporate issue, not mine." Instead of trying to help the situation he was acting like we were wasting his time and were idiots. He then had her change the price manually and told her "Let's not make it more complicated than it is, ok?" I could not believe he was talking to an employee this way! How freaking rude dude. I know in most places you're not supposed to change prices without managerial approval, for obvious reasons. You could tell the way Eduardo spoke to Kristie brought her down. I was so mad because she was doing her best and being as kind as she could be about the situation. This is why good, kind employees dont last because of Eduardos. Before I left I told Kristie, "I don't think you are making it a bigger deal than it needed to be at all. He seems very unkind and rude, really a j@ck@$$!" She smiled and thank me for being kind and patient with her today. I hope her day doesn't continue to be a nightmare because of this jerk. In a world full of Eduardos be a Kristie! I will be calling corporate, this is workplace verbal abuse and I truly hope Kristie finds a better more kind place to work. Eduardo and Krista are the soul reasons I removed two stars for my rating.

At other gas stations that take rewards cards (like Quik Trip takes Price Chopper rewards cards) you have to slide the actual card. Well I prefer to carry the little key fob thing not the actual card. If I carried all my rewards cards my purse would weigh 50 pounds! So thanks HyVee for solving this little thing and making my life easier! I used to not shop at HyVee often enough to earn gas discounts on my rewards card but now that I've discovered the amazing HyVee at 95th & Antioch, I'm there more often and the gas discounts add up. The HyVee gas station located right next to the 95th & Antioch store has several pumping stations as well as a great convenience store. Almost as good as Quik Trip- high praise!

Then I got harrassed for my Medicare # even though I provided my insurance card (Medicare PPO). That wouldn't have been so bad being asked for that EXCEPT that my husband went several months ago for his covid jabs (both of them) at the very same AuBurn Pharmacy and he was never asked for his Medicare # - and, mind you, he has the very same insurance that I do. So, I went on their website and sent them my Medicare # several days after receiving the jab VIA EMAIL - but they don't check their email. This is ridiculous. My husband didn't get this hassle whatsoever! I thought these covid jabs were supposed to be FREE. What an absolute mess! I'm not at ALL impressed with AuBurn Pharmacy after they've singled me out to harrass me for the Medicare # - that I provided them VIA EMAIL. CHECK YOUR EMAIL or delete that option for consumers.

Kirk Neely, is one of the pharmacists on staff and he definitely takes his time to listen and speak to his customers. He is also friendly and has a genuine smile. You can tell he enjoys what he does. Shhhh! He's handsome too. The pharmacy isn't open on Sunday, but hey we all need a day off.

The compounded prescriptions take longer to fill than regular prescriptions. I've had another one years before, and they usually take about four days to fill. They got my prescription and called me to verify it. Because my prescription is not covered by insurance they waited to get my approval for price before they started making it. I called back four days later and they said it would be ready today and I got a text shortly afterwards that it was ready. I went in and the cashier was very nice and she asked if I would like to speak to the pharmacist and I said yes. So I spoke to a female pharmacist and she was very explanatory and helpful on the prescription and exactly how to use it and even more detailed information. I would recommend them for the compounding pharmacy, I don't use them for regular prescriptions so I don't know about that particular service.,

This Walgreens pharmacy at Research Hospital is a wonderful exception. And the staff have a rare concern to go to bat for their customers, including researching the best price that fits the customer's insurance. They don't feature lots of browsing or gifts, just medicine.

However, of all the Walgreens I have worked with for prescriptions over the years, this one is the best. They staff are kind and attentive. While I was hospitalized a pharmacist came up to my room and explained each medication, the side effects and the importance of why I am taking that particular medicine with my condition. I still have some of my maintenance prescriptions at a closer Walgreens, but with my Anti Rejection Meds for Kidney Transplant, the only ones I trust to get them to me on time with no delays or not understanding some of the complicated insurance issues involved is the Research Medical Walgreens staff.

The store is always clean and most of the items are stocked up which are always at a good value, so no complaints there. I never had any issues at billing or at the returns desk either. The bakery always has fresh food items - love the hot dogs, chicken bake and pizzas it has to offer!! Its clean and up to the mark. However, I'm not a big fan of the cafe being next to the tire center because the seating area faces right at the tire center entrance, and I really don't like the chemical smell that's always around there. Otherwise, I have no complaints and I just love my neighborhood Costco. To beat the rush, always go by 8 pm to shop on weekdays, it's usually empty at that time. Happy Shopping

You do get a bit of a discount if you purchase a 90 day supply if that is an option with your prescription. One of the best perks is when you pick up your meds, you may get to see a Frenchie who visits from time to time! I believe he lives with someone who works there. I think his name is Axel or Harley. He is so cute! I love dogs so it makes my day if he is there, Everyone is very nice and professional. Unfortunately with compounded meds or at least the ones I get, your health insurance doesn't cover the cost and they aren't cheap. They do seem very willing to talk to you about what's in the compound and cost so maybe you could figure out with your dr if there's any cheaper options. I've only had good experiences with them so far and would recommend them if you need a compounded medication.
