Very disappointed! Went there this morning to refill my medication. There was only me and another 2 customers. The clerk after I had to scream out loud my name and medication (bye bye privacy) because she was at a counter on the other side of the room were I cannot access, told me I had to wait 20 minutes because they were waiting another employee who was late at work. CVS should be ashamed of themselves. Not this specific location, but CVS as a company. Managers are forced to lose out on holidays and family time - when employees call out it's up to management to cover their shifts. This results in managers working double, sometimes triple shifts. This severely impacts their health and overall well-being, not to mention their safety. Driving home after working for 24 hours straight is not safe, but cvs doesn't step up or allocate the proper funds / help so managers get overworked. Like a billion dollar corporation can't afford extra help, especially after all the profit they're bringing in during covid. Typical greedy, profit based company doesn't give a damn about their employees and who suffers? The employees, the friends and families of employees. It's sick. Cvs also tolerates verbal abuse from customers. I've lost count how many times people have screamed at my mom for things out of her control - fact that she can't give a vaccine to someone who doesn't have an appointment. That's in addition to all the other verbal abuse she's endured working at CVS even before covid. Name calling, screaming, ignorant and condescending remarks regarding her accent. The only reason I'm giving it a 5 star is because I've lost out on way too much time with my mom (she's constantly overworked due to lack of help and resources from cvs) for a 2 star rating. Also, shame on all the people who leave shitty reviews. You have no idea the work and sacrifice that people like my mom pour into working for CVS, if you have a shitty experience, take it up with CVS corporate, call the better business bureau.... don't just shift blame on a hard working manager and underpaid employees, they're the last people who deserve it. read more

We stopped in today to look around because I have not been in a CVS in years. My fob scanned at the kiosk still gave me coupons which was a surprise. When we walked in, we were greeted by the cashier which is a very uncommon occurance when I enter a drug store. During our wanderings, a male employee stocking a cooler also spoke to us and asked us if we needed any help. It was interesting to see an optical center in the back of this location, never saw that before. We did not buy anything but it was an enjoyable visit. Absolutely bottom of the barrel awful customer service at this pharmacy. Staff changes frequently and as on par with the rest of the country I'm sure staffing is an issue but there is no excuse when you go to pick up your prescription and ask a question to the person on the register or at the pick up window that they should just be out & out rude with a stank face & response to match. As an update, the volume of business done at this location has increased tremendously over the last couple of years and this coupled with insufficient staffing has made the situation worse. Errors in prescription refills have increased dramatically -- eg, wrong medicine, wrong count of pills, foul-ups related to the CVS "auto-sync" program that allegedly aligns refills so that they are available on the same day. Calling in by phone to the pharmacy is fresh hell - expect to be on hold for 25 minutes+ to talk to a human. If I could give less than 1 star, I would. I typically go here because it's 24 hours and with everything going on and having a baby, I go during late hours to avoid public. When I tell you I had such an amazing experience the other day with an employee, I mean it. He stopped stocking up in the middle of the store at like 2AM to ring me up, even though I was already at self check out and almost done. He told me about a program and INSTANTLY sold me. He is such a great person and employee and I can tell by the like 15 mins he spent helping me. His name is Jermaine. Just visited this CVS and could not get my daily prescription because they had a brown out and told me to come back in 2 hrs for my prescription...my scrip might be ready then. Wtf!? I have a generator for when the local power fails, and I'm not dispensing necessary drugs to customers. What kind of place is this that doesn't have an emergency generator? Nightmare still. This place just keeps getting worse... I have been going here for 5 years and this pharmacy is horrible. Turn over is crazy. Never see the same people for more than 6 months. I had to call the store and speak to the store manager to get someone to pick up a call at the pharmacy then got attitude when someone at the pharmacy finally picked up the phone... The employees, who all seem very young, don't know how to speak to customers. They cut you off mid sentence and try to rush the conversation. I had to slow a young lady down who was rushing me and explain to her that some of this medication I am filling can hurt people of not taken correctly and she should not be rushing me to click a screen when I had a question. She rolled her eyes at me lol. Common sense stuff is just continually overlooked.... like good customer service... It is convenient and the prescriptions I need are carried here and are usually a bit cheaper but I may just throw in the towel and do prescriptions by mail. I would give 0 stars if possible. It took about 4 really terrible experiences before I completely stopped going there and decided to write this review. One of the worst and most recent was when I called to refill my prescription over the phone, I spoke with two people who were completely rude and downright nasty, which at this point I've come to expect from this place. Somehow I was signed up for automatic monthly refill which I never agreed to, in fact I was never even asked. After getting two very agressive responses of "It's here! When will you get it?" I finally asked to speak with a manager, you see my question was not if my script was ready but rather why it was ready when this was the first time I was calling. Nasty woman #2 then put me on hold before disconnecting me. When I got to the store picked up my script and asked the young man behind the counter why was it filled and how I got on automatic monthly refill without having any knowledge of this his response was "DO YOU WANT ME TO TAKE YOU OFF THEN!?!?" Yes please, that was the end of the cvs that unfortunately was so conveniently located within walking distance of my home. read more

This is the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. They never pick up the phone. At CVS customers are just another prescription. They do not care about you as an individual. The pharmacist have no relationship with the customers. They don't even know who you are. I was on hold for over 40 minutes to ask a question to the pharmacist. Unreal. I have never written a sour or bad YELP, but the service at the service or lack thereof at the CVS Pharmacy in New City, NY is awful. Called to get a Flu-Shot - was told to come over at 12 noon. I was there by 11:55am - then told that it would be a 1 hour wait not because there were customers ahead of me, but because they didn't have time to do the Flu Shots despite being told to come over at 12 noon. I reminded them that I was here at the time they instructed, and they told me that perhaps another day would be better, but not sure. PS: the store is unclean, poorly stocked and generally staffed with unfriendly people. In the future, I will only use a locally owned pharmacy like Clarkstown Pharmacy where people still care about the locals. read more

I visited this CVS location for a prescription and was very displeased with the pharmacy attendants lack of professionalism. I went to the drive through and found her to be abrupt and seemed extremely annoyed for whatever reason. I paid for my prescription and left. The second time I went I was told that the prescription I had previously paid $35.00 for was now $50.00. I questioned it and they realized that they had to rectify the problem. From that point on the attendant seemed agitated and was annoyed that the problem needed to be fixed. This was their error and I felt as though I was being punished for their incompetency. There are way too many other competitors for me to put up with this type of poor behavior especially when I'm a paying consumer. I would never go back and will take my business elsewhere. read more

The worst. I switched away from them to a small privately owned pharmacy and was so happy. Now the small pharmacy is going out of business and I'm stuck in this purgatory again. Today they couldn't figure out how to process my prescription and were insisting it wasn't covered (it is). I left so I could sort it out with my insurance and they got rid of my medication. When I came back 15 minutes later and showed them how to put my prescription through, I had to wait AGAIN for them to fill the thing they already filled and then discarded.
