But they came back, did the advanced (deeper) enzyme treatment I had originally booked, and refunded me for the hassle, which I really appreciated. Both times the techs were pleasant and efficient. I also appreciated that, prior to treatment, they used a black light to thoroughly assess the problem. One thing to know is that the smell can actually get worse for a few days after deep enzyme cleaning (which really surprised me!). Keeping the windows closed at first, then airing out, running two air purifiers on turbo, and vacuuming thoroughly really helped. Vacuuming is so important because it lifts leftover VOC particles that cause "ghost smell" even after enzyme treatment. I also used an odor powder (Rocco & Roxie) over the carpet, left it for 24 hours, then vacuumed again. Blocking off the area with aluminum foil and barriers helped stop my cat from re-marking the same spots too. In the end, Citrus Fresh helped me save my carpet. I'd recommend them -- just know to stick with it, ask for the advanced treatment and be patient if you have a tough pet mess like mine!

He was also flexible in additional requests we had along the way (like asking for a final glossy coat to finish the wood floors). I was originally going to replace carpet with LVP but found wood floors under the carpet! We chose to have the wood floors refinished and stained and they turned out fantastic! It looks like a completely new space. The job was scheduled within a few days and was completed on schedule. When I've hired Stanley Steamer before they come with 2 guys who move all the heavy furniture around and place everything on these pad-looking things. They never put things on top of things. TCC cleaned my…read morefurniture and damaged my laminate water resistant (not water proof) flooring in May 2023...his employee obviously wasn't trained on protecting floors while cleaning apostry, the amount of water used was extremely excessive and I brought this to his attention several times, but he continued to clean the furniture and let the water sit on the floor, I noticed it again when I went to check...I placed about "10 thick large towels" on the floor that absorbed the water in seconds....I informed the owner Darrius who came to my home to view the damages and he thanked me for being understanding, acknowledged negligence, took pictures, was provided an estimate for labor and materials at a very reasonable cost and he was all for it, but next he told me he wanted a second opinion and I waited for weeks, unfortunately to be told he was actually contacting his lawyer, yes his lawyer after he acknowledged negligence and offered to make a payment for damages....after going back and forth, his lawyer informed me that he is no longer representing TCC...Darrius said he and his partner decided to end the dispute, but yet he offers me a payment arrangement that will take 10 1/2 month to pay in full and he expects me to continue living with my damaged flooring for 1 year...I didn't accept that offer but I did make him a good offer...make 2 payments within 30 days and he declined the arrangement even knowing he doesn't have a case and the fact that I said I will move forward to sue TCC for damages and additional fees will be added....I did my research and found this young black man and wanted to support his business, he had good reviews so I scheduled an appointment, I try so hard to support black business, but we don't always do right by people....I will keep you posted with the outcome.
