You know that feeling, if you've ever had it, the sense of welcome and conversation? That's what you get here. I guess you could compare this place to barbershop the movie... but I think this place has something that it doesn't and that's the diversity that rolls through here. It's experiencing Charlotte's diverse population right here in the barbershop. This is a place where you can unwind talk to your barber about the issues or catching up on life. I'm not saying it's a psychologist session, but rather talking to friends or family. I've been going to my barber Dru for years... and even moving to Tennessee I still come back once and a while to get a cut and to catch up on life. As a matter of fact I've seen him move several times around Charlotte and as long as he's there I'll be coming back time and time again. There's a level of trust that you have with your barber and if you're looking for a place to find that person then I would suggest you to check out this place.

Chris is an amazing guy! We went in for one of my friends haircuts, because he hadn't gotten a…read morehaircut in a while. So I call Chris on the phone, and I asked how much for a haircut? Chris said that Monday through Thursday he does $10 haircuts, and then $30 on the weekends. I thought this was an amazing deal that I had to take an opportunity to try out. So my friend who is a guy got his haircut, and both of me and my girlfriend are waiting there and we're watching him get A haircut. My guy friends haircut turned out so good, and it was exactly what he wanted. If not more than what he wanted. I really enjoyed the service that I received here, because first of all right off the bat... I called him and he answered the phone he told me how much it was, and then when I first got to the salon I didn't know where his studio was. So I called him again, and he told me exactly where it was. So it was really easy for me to find it, once I called Chris. Someone who can answer the phone and give good directions straight off the top, that is some service that I appreciate. Because some businesses these days are so hard to find, and then when they give you directions it's really not that specific. Anyways so my friend gets a haircut, and it's really good. My friend really liked it, and so both me and my girlfriend were like okay we should get a haircut too. For $10, getting a haircut is a great deal! So my other girlfriend, she has really really long thin hair, and she just wanted a trim. Chris trimmed off about three or 4 inches off of her hair. She really liked the end result, and would definitely go back again. I also believe that she recommended it to one of our friends. The reason why I give Chris and golden creations five stars, is because of the service that I received from Chris. Chris is super down to earth, super chill, laid-back, and overall just a cool guy. He talked a lot about astrology, and was very knowledgeable about that. Which is really an interesting subject to talk about when you're there for a while. Overall Chris it's just a really cool guy, and he knows how to cut hair while. Chris mentioned that in the upcoming months, he's going to start doing color with Hair. Chris mentioned that he had over 20 years of experience cutting men's hair, and 16 years of cutting women's hair. The way that that experience showed was in his techniques that he used, his communication, and his knowledge about products and what not. If you want to go here to get a haircut from a great guy, I would definitely recommend this place. Chris really knows what he's doing when it comes to Hair. Overall I had just a great experience with golden creations, and getting my haircut here too. I would definitely recommend Chris to any of my friends or even family in this area. He did a really good job, and he's just a great guy. It was a great overall experience, and the fact that both of my friends and myself got a haircut here says something about the service we received.

He insulted me as I sat down Looked at me and my hair and said "oof" like my hair was really messed up (I got it cut the week prior) Didn't give me the cut I asked for (temp fade) Fade is way too high I have stubble on my face I wanted him to cut off and I wasn't aware that counted as "beard" He said that's a "full cut" but before I could say no thanks to the "full cut" he already started cutting. He used "the shavers" and afterwards I had visible irritation on my face. (I have had those type of clippers used on my face before btw) He made more comments like "It's been a minute since your last cut huh? Don't worry we'll get you right." He told me that they don't use a sponge brush bc it can't be sanitized but grabbed an old worn down one off of another barbers station, used it on me, and put it back. He also said "We came a long way with this haircut" He cut my hairline and it left a scab He didn't line my mustache to a point initially. It was a rectangle so I asked him to touch it up some. I called the owner (Issac) and asked to get a refund for the terrible haircut and unprofessional service. Issac told me that he thinks it's a good haircut. Issac said he's sorry if I felt offended by the comments that were made Issac said I shouldn't have paid for it if I didn't like it, so it's too late. I said I didn't think not paying was an option, so can you rectify this by refunding me? He said no. Issac offered a discount on my next haircut. So what I got was: No money back and a terrible apology. Basically "Sorry you were upset".
