Even those of us with slowly receding bonces need a good hairdresser. For me, Cutting Crew is currently that good hairdresser. Hidden away at the end of a residential terrace next to Langley Library, Cutting Crew do both men's and women's hair (in separate rooms).
I can only talk about my experience of the men's side of things and I can assure you it's very good. There are two ladies working in the men's bit and as I'm the kind to just walk in every few weeks, I don't mind which one of them ends up cutting my hair. Having gone to a few hairdressers in the past where it's been a bit of a lottery whether I get the one who does it brilliantly or the one who always gets it a bit wrong.
I've been going to Cutting Crew for about nine months. I started going there after having my head shaved at another hairdresser's. It was a grade and style that I asked for but didn't suit me. What I quite like about this place is that the ladies will advise you if you ask for something that might not suit you, which helps build up trust. They do your hair in a way that's mutually agreeable to you and them, not just what they want to do or you ask for regardless of suitability.
Perhaps the best part is that it's only £7.75 (cheaper if you have it clippered all over - something I've been avoiding after last time). That always leaves plenty of change from a tenner for a tip or, if you're a stingy sod, plenty of change from a tenner. But then if you were that stingy, you'd cut your own hair? read more
