I called on a Thursday afternoon to schedule a Friday morning appointment and they got me in!…read more I haven't had a proper haircut since early February, so this was long overdue. I got booked in with Shannon, who is also new to Headmasters, but has over 10 years of hair cutting experience. I'm always nervous to go to new stylists, as my normal salon in San Mateo always produced the results I wanted. So Shannon and I went over my hair (long layers, medium/thick, natural wave) and she listened to everything and didn't suggest I go any shorter (which I hate, I love having long hair). Shannon went above and beyond! She cut my hair exactly how I wanted (leaving the length but trimming the layers), and did a beautiful job with the styling. We talked about doing an ombre colour in June, too. I can't say enough about the professionalism and atmosphere. They treated me wonderfully, did exactly what I wanted, and didn't push me to purchase any products or get my hair coloured. Better still, I went in for a job interview that afternoon and GOT THE JOB! Thanks again, Shannon!

Went to this salon last night after buying a Groupon voucher for £15. On first impressions I wanted…read moreto walk out. The salon was cold and dark with only a portable gas fire for heat. The salon was dated and shabby but as I'd already paid and only wanted a trim what could go wrong? Right? Oh my goodness!! Yes the stylist was very nice and friendly but what I left with was a bob shorter than I'd expected and to make matters worse a big chunk was missing off the length on one side and the cut wasn't even straight. On seeing it my friend laughed, that is before she grabbed the scissors and tried to sort it out. All the length around the bob was different. The stylist didn't even blow dry it properly but tried to style it using straighteners. I'm really really disappointed and look a complete fool. And, as so much was cut off I can't go and have it sorted out and have to live with it for a least a month. All in all the salon is dated, shabby and dirty and unprofessional. Yes the staff are friendly but I've had better cuts in the Birmingham Market! Avoid is my advice. And by the way, you get what you paid for and I paid £15 which bought me a haircut that looks like an untrained chimp has done. You've been warned!
