This may be extremely hard to hear and unbelievable about my experince at CABELLAS based on Hagely road, but please be wary about visiting this place because the events you are about to hear are 100% fact, there is evidence of the treatment I had to endure and police and lawyers are now involved in this matter.
I had a very detailed conversation with Charley Turner an employee at this 'hair dressers' explaining I wanted 'Balayage' which is described as 'highlights painted in such away it leaves a graduated NATRUAL-LOOKING EFFECT'. But instead I was forced to have BLONDE highlights on my long brown hair, which I have kept healthy for a number of years and which was destroyed my strangers in a matter of an hour.
Firstly, upon booking over the phone, I was not offered a skin test although I requested for one. I was left with a 'metallic green/ ash blonde colour, with random block chunks missing' (as described by professionals elsewhere) at my consultation the following day.
I will outline this traumatic experince as quickly as I can but the entire experince from start to finish is really important and was truly traumatising:
* I was threatened, assaulted, verbally abused and embarrassed all in front of customers
* I was left with bleach in my hair for 40 minutes although she had said 30 minutes max, turns out charley who was doing my hair had gone off home and left another woman who appeared more concerned about her IPad and 3 dogs running around the place than bleach that was in my hair.
* I had witnessed a regular customer come in with broken skin on the side of her face after scrubbing her face vigorously due to having hair dye on her skin and sideburns and baby hairs, she complained her hair was way darker than usual, and side of her face looked weird which they refused to acknowledge and she left after 10 minutes with no help, yet the continued to gossip and laugh about her once she left in front of me, a new customer, and other customers.
* I was dismissed from this place without my hair being dried completely so was not able to see what my hair truly looked like, from what I could see I was so overwhelmed I called friends and family in tears and just needed to get out of there.
* Calling the following day to ensure the manager was available, expecting sympathy as my hair looked outrageous and after visiting two different hair salons with both professionals agreeing that it was very odd looking and needed correcting, I was confident that the manger of a hair salon would be sympathetic to how I must be feeling but instead I was shouted at on the phone and told no point coming in as he wouldn't give me a refund. When I simply said, "okay I'd like to come in and discuss this in person" (assuming when he saw my hair he'd understand), he then dismissed my suggestion, shouted and hung up whilst his employees laughed in the background!
* I called a lawyer known to the family after being shouted at by a grown man and I was advised to not only ask for a refund but for compensation as I had to re-book elsewhere for a colour correction and hair treatment due to the bleach in my hair yet still only requested a refund
* Upon arriving with my sister, I kindly asked to see the manager, told he'd be back in a while and took a seat in the waiting area, meanwhile Charley appeared to be pacing around the room, with clenched fists
* My sister who is very uncomfortable around dogs sat patiently waiting with me whilst the dogs jumped on our laps and running around the sofa, I assume because she was flinching this upset Marcia (who owned the dogs) and she began to call her a 'cheeky cow' to Charley and then proceed to gossip about us
* When asked why she was name calling, she started shouting the names across the room which prompted other members of staff to join in telling me nothing was wrong with my hair and to take my hair down and show them, in front of other customers which was extremely embarrassing & strange
* When asked why they were acting so unprofessional and so angry even though I was the one that was wronged it began a shouting match
* Marcia came at us in a threatning manner with scissors in her hand, shouting get out whilst charley said she would drag us out
Unfortunately, I would say that the problem was caused by the manager as I assume he relayed this same lie when he hung up on me, which explains why the staff were so aggressive. I now am going to have to claim compensation especially after how the situation escalated, and I have had to not only travel back and forth 3 times but have had to spend my day contacting the relevant people, providing formal complaints.
I really hope no one else has to endure this treatment from these people, it is absolutely absurd that I was threatened continuously by older women even-though I had not responded aggressively to any of the threats. Be careful as this experince is really damaging and please do not put yourself at risk! read more
