Korean corn dog with half cheese and half hotdog covered with hott cheetos
    Pearack T.

This is my first time here and I can only speak for the Korean corn dogs, but the picture is self-explanatory and it was pretty much demolished within minutes, but they were very fast and the location is also in a good area off of south end around the uptown area.

I saw that Cutting Board CLT Food truck were the first to have Korean Corn Dogs in the Queen City and also had Birria Ramen so I had to hit them up. During my visit I learned that they discontinued the Birria Ramen and were having an issue with the Shrimp and Grits so I just got the classic K dog (half cheese half hot dog). The K dog was cooked to order and was super cheesy. It actually was too cheesy for me. I ended up deconstructing it to get rid of some of the cheese. The outer shell of the corndog was crispy and coated in sweet sugar mix. I loved that part! I feel like this food truck has potential. I wish I could of sampled some other items they have on their menu but nothing else peaked my interest. I'll keep an eye on them and hope to visit them again soon. This place was on my radar for a couple of months because I thought there weren't Korean corn dogs in Charlotte and then Kenty corrected me! We went out to Pinhouse to try them. They're currently there Wednesday and Saturday I think, but check their Instagram for their weekly schedule. I think they've been really crowded on weekends since Axios posted about them, so go on a weekday if you don't want a line. We tried a variety of stuff: - K-Dog (with potatoes) - Taquitos (Beef) - Beef Birria Ramen - Birria Tacos (Beef) I loved everything! The order listed above is my preference, but I would happily order any of it again. I was skeptical about a place that does Korean and Mexican, but they do both well! I hope they expand their corn dog and sauce/topping selection to have a little more variety like the places I've been in NYC. Definitely check this spot out!

The nicest people with the best food!!! Can not recommend them enough. Their shrimp tacos are some of my fave tacos in Charlotte. The K-dogs are phenomenal. The cheese K-dog add potatoes is my regular order and it's been great every time. Their birria ramen is also delicious. You can't go wrong with any of their menu items.

Take out: Potato corn dog in bag with queso, ketchup and mustard packets; broth, and ramen were separate.

I watched Lizzo eat Korean corn dogs a few months ago. She made them look so yummy so I vowed to get one sooner rather than later. Welp, Cutting board is the place and you should get there now. I placed an online order around 4:30 to be ready at 5 when they opened. It was ready prior to the 5:10 promised time and I also ordered the chicken ramen. I raced home because I was so anxious to try everything. The first bite of the corn dog was amazing, and it didn't even have any hot dog in it. I thought I tasted actual hot dog and maybe it was a little hot dog juice?!?! I don't know but the cheese, and potato, and the surprise of the sugar!!!! OMG, that was a nice addition. I honestly didn't think the potato would have sugar, but it did and I wasn't mad. I tried it with queso and then mustard. I actually preferred it without anything, but if I had to choose, I like mustard with my hot dogs so...mustard it is. The ramen broth came in a separate container and all of the noodles, chicken and veggies were neatly packed separately. The broth was flavorful and I loved how the chicken was shredded so it was easy to eat with the noodles. I told myself that I wouldn't eat another corn dog for a while but...they are calling me! I want to try the other flavors!

Yum yum yum!! The food here is amazing and the best Korean corn dogs in Charlotte for sure, I always hit this place up when they're near by. The service is straight to the point but also pretty quick which I appreciate! Definitely try this place if you see it on the street

The K-dog was cheesy goodness. That gooey cheese that you can stretch. And though my friend wasn't a fan of the sweet coating, I happened to enjoy the salty, sweet combination. However, the order did take a lot longer than expected for 3 corn dogs. It took over 30 mins for our order to come out. We ran out of beer while waiting at the Pinhouse but didn't want to leave the truck and miss our order. So we waited along with the other patrons.

It's perfect with or without potatoes! The Creme Brûlée was great, perfect texture and flavor, and an ever satisfying sugar crunch on top. Dislikes: The Elote in a Cup had a weird juice on the bottom, which had no flavor and kinda ruined 1/4 of it. I've definitely had better Birria Tacos in Charlotte, but these aren't bad, I'd stick to ordering K-Dogs here ;) Overall Rating: 4.1

Tried this food truck today and it did not disappoint!!! The line was long but worth every bit of standing in the cold. We go the k-dogs, ramen with chicken , and taquitos with beef. All 5 star worthy. Just had an issue with the time their instagram said 2-9 , got in line at 1:57 then they said we open in 45 mins............... other than that please try this awesome place and def try the K dog!!!!!

My mouth is literally watering while typing my review on how amazing the food was! I ordered a few different items on the menu that did not disappoint at all! My favorite is the birria ramen, birria tacos and let's not forget to mention the amazing Korean Corn Dog! I have been craving this place from the first visit and already went back the next day. If you are thinking about going just do it and order anything it will be great and worth the wait. Follow their Instagram to find their location daily.

I LOVE Cutting Board their k dogs and chicken taquitoes are my personal favorite and a must order every single time. My boyfriend always gets the birria tacos and he absolutely loves them as well. they are usually parked by Pinhouse which offers are pretty good vibe when you're trying to eat. I just would recommend not eating upstairs cuz it's super windy haha. The employees are really nice and are pretty quick with the service so overall love this place and when people come to visit to Charlotte I always want to take them over here

I literally recommend everything you can order here. It's all cheesy, comforting, flavorful. Legit everything packs a punch. Hubby and I love the birria ramen, truly a delicious experience. The beef is tender, the noodles give the perfect cheese pull. The birria tacos are also a gooey moment. The top tier cheese pull goes to the half and half k dogs. Holy cow, you just have to see it to believe it. If you eat here and hate it, we can't be friends lol.

Korean corn dog with flaming hot Cheeto
    Trace W.

I had this food truck on my radar for quite some time. We were very excited to try the Korean corn dogs. We also tried the barria tacos. This was my first time trying korean corn dogs. My partner has had them many times. We both agreed that they were decent, but just lacked any wow flavor. She said they're usually much better. We tried the half cheese, half beef dog with flaming hot Cheetos added to the breading. Though the corn dog was very red, we could not even taste the flaming hot Cheetos flavor. The inside was good, but the breading, which is kind of what makes a corn dog, was kind of flavorless. The barria tacos were the better of the two things, but they still weren't as good as several other places you can get them. However, it's a neat looking food truck, and they're very kind, with great customer service! I just have to be honest in my reviews, and we just weren't as excited after having tried the food.

I ordered the carne asada and was genuinely excited, but it was a letdown from the start. They never asked how I wanted the steak cooked, which is a huge mistake. Then they covered the steak in cheese--why? That completely overpowered everything. I couldn't even taste the chimichurri. A suggestion: grill the steak properly and serve it simply. If you need cast iron, use a skillet--not a cast iron bowl. Don't drown it in cheese, and please don't cut my steak for me. I'm a grown adult and can handle that myself. I specifically asked the server, Ohran, what tacos were included in the 2.50 street tacos listed on their board as their Tuesday special and was told all of them. I then asked him again "so all the tacos are considered street tacos" and he said yes. So, imagine my surprise when we received the receipts and were charged full price. I fell in love with Superica when I first moved to Charlotte nearly three years ago, and it quickly…read morebecame one of my go-to spots for reliable, flavorful Tex-Mex. But I have to start with a small heartbreak: my beloved puffy taco is gone. I grew up in San Antonio, Texas, where the puffy taco was created, and it's deeply nostalgic for me. It's not a sope, not a tostada--it's a true puffy taco, light, airy, and unlike anything else. For a long time, Superica made one that came remarkably close to what I grew up with. Unfortunately, after changes in leadership and kitchen management, it quietly disappeared from the menu. That was a real disappointment. That said, I still come back--because the food here is consistently good. The crispy tacos with picadillo are my current favorite. Picadillo (P-I-C-A-D-I-L-L-O) is a traditional Latin dish with many regional variations, and this version reminds me of the one my grandmother used to make in San Antonio. The portions are generous, the flavors are balanced, and the menu offers something for everyone--from enchiladas and chile rellenos to steaks and fresh tableside guacamole. Speaking of guacamole, I'm a purist. I like it simple: avocado, jalapeño, cilantro, lime, garlic--chunky and clean. Superica delivers on that. The chips and salsa are bottomless, the salsa has great depth of flavor, and for those who like heat, they offer a tiny dropper of hot sauce that is smoky, bold, and absolutely not for the faint of heart. The ginger margarita is another standout. It comes with a generous piece of crystallized ginger and has a bright, balanced flavor that makes it easy to order a second one. And if you have room for dessert, do not skip the tres leches cake--rich, decadent, and a perfect way to end the meal. I also appreciate the little touches here: * Friendly, knowledgeable waitstaff * A lively bar area that's great for happy hour * A beautiful outdoor patio that makes al fresco dining feel special * And a fun tradition of sending you home with a packaged Texas praline This South End location is my personal favorite. It feels more adult and relaxed, while the Strawberry Hill location tends to be more family-heavy. Both are good, but the vibe here suits me better. Yes, prices have crept up a bit--as they have everywhere--but the quality, consistency, and atmosphere keep me coming back. And as someone who travels frequently for work across multiple states, I appreciate that Superica maintains a dependable standard wherever I encounter it. Bottom line: Even without the puffy taco, Superica remains one of my favorite Tex-Mex spots in Charlotte. Come hungry, bring friends, share plates--and as always, travel safe and eat well.

If you're looking for a spot with a high-energy vibe and a killer aesthetic, Superica in South End…read moredefinitely delivers. I visited with a friend on Cinco de Mayo, so as you can imagine, the scene was absolutely chaotic. The wait was a staggering hour and a half, but Superica handles crowds like a pro. They have an outdoor bar and a grill setup serving: * A limited taco menu * Chips and Queso This was a total game-changer. It's a genius move that keeps the "hangry" at bay while you soak up the South End atmosphere. Once we finally scored two seats at the bar, the service remained impressively steady despite the holiday madness. * The Vibe: 10/10. The restaurant is beautiful and definitely fits the trendy Charlotte mold. * The Food: To be honest, I wasn't blown away. Given the hype and the stunning decor, my expectations were sky-high. The flavors were "decent" and felt like a solid performance, but they didn't quite hit that "must-return" level of deliciousness. * Portion Sizes: Huge! I couldn't finish my meal in one sitting. Here's the interesting part: The food actually tasted better the next day. It traveled well and the flavors seemed to settle in overnight. If you can't finish your plate, definitely take it home. Is it worth the South End gas and the hour-plus wait? For me, I'll probably stick to my "old faithful" spot up in the University area for my routine taco fix. However, I'm willing to give Superica the benefit of the doubt. It's hard for any kitchen to be at its absolute peak on Cinco de Mayo. If I find myself back in the neighborhood on a quieter Tuesday, I'd give it another shot just to see if the food can live up to that gorgeous interior.
