Now THAT is service. You can tell when you walk into the bathroom, showers, or laundry room that they work hard to keep everything maintained and in tip top shape. These are the cleanest "smaller" campground facilities I've ever experienced! There are MANY site options, and they're well maintained and the gravel is visibly raked and leveled out. Wow! Our site was close to trash bins to empty our trash and a one minute walk to the bathroom and camp kitchen area, if we needed to do some cooking. Our site has a nice little picnic table and fire ring. Lots of folks were using the fire pits, so there is no fire ban here. We are so close to the lake! Lots of trees here and our spot has enough shade to hide from the hot summer sun. Our site was #60 with an electrical hookup, thank goodness. It helped us not to drain our battery when using the a/c. Our site is in between a cabin site and a tent site. The site is small and fits our 24ft van perfectly. The big thing was that it is level! No adjusting. There is a store in the front and a swimming pool, which is popular when it's hot out. I did not need to do laundry, but they also offer that here. Patchy internet at our site, but we were able to use our starlink instead. Overall, we can't complain because this is glamping to us with all of our needs met. I recommend stopping here if you need a place to camp on your way to Yellowstone.

Great dinner and brews in the onsite restaurant/brewery just steps away from our RV site. All the other guests were friendly and quiet. It seems this is a launching spot for ATV/side-by-side adventurers. We have a back hatch that was great for listening to the creek later in the evening. Bathrooms and showers were clean and sufficient, but I was surprised to find a sign at 10:30am saying they were closed for cleaning (just 30 minutes before checkout!). The flyer provided at check-in stated that the cleaning schedule would be posted at the RV Park office, but I checked the white board and it was not. Highly recommend to management to have a standard "closed for cleaning" hour(s) and that it not be just when people are trying to clean up and leave. CAUTION: This would have been a very convenient stop off the I90 between Kalispell and Spokane, HOWEVER, Apple Maps tried to take us over the Thompson pass into Murphy and then onto Nine Mile Road which is narrow and partially unpaved --per the signage near Murphy--, so we detoured and drove about 40 miles out of the way to enter on the West side of Wallace coming on I90 from around Kellogg. ALSO, Due to construction, the 6th Street access from old town is closed, as is the West bound I90 on-ramp on the east end of town, so the directions on the RV Park Website and Apple Maps are inaccurate at this time. Once you get to Wallace and take exit 61 or 62 off of I90, follow the "Nine Mile Road -- 6th Street" orange detour signs through old town from either exit 61 or 62 to enter the Park. Unfortunately, this info wasn't shared when we called the day before and verified the website driving directions were accurate.

Some seemed to have adequate space, although none were even close to private, but we were incredibly packed in. When we put out our slide, it was probably 24 inches from the awning of our neighbor. Can't say I've ever been as close to another vehicle before. Another annoyance was the prices had increased since we booked our reservation 6 months prior, and because you can't pay ahead of time, we had to pay the new rate. All things considered though, would recommend for a few days in Wallace, and I would definitely come back.

Before we even got there, we called several times with all sorts of questions and they were patient and super helpful each time. Upon arriving, they were quick to help us and made sure we had all the gear (tubes, waterproof phone cases, drinks, ice, etc) to make our river float as comfortable and fun as possible! The ride to the river is very quick and on the way they provide plenty of pointers so you're sure to avoid any rough patches coming down the river. They handled loading and unloading our stuff for us, thank you! We will definitely be back and hope to stay overnight next time to take advantage of all they have to offer! It is an old campground, though. But it's right smack in the middle of town, and minutes from anywhere you are heading. There is a tent area, and let's just say that those folks were probably NOT on a groovy walking tour of the Palouse, wink wink. I did consider carrying some hollow-point insurance on this trip, but saw it was going to be a full park, with parents dropping off their college kiddos at WSU, so thought that little extra measure was unnecessary this time. Considering there are no brick & mortar bathroom/shower facilities, the $35-night fee is pretty reasonable. But there is a large pee-atorium for folks like us that don't hook up our sewer line. Wifi wasn't great, but you can check weather/email/basics, and I always appreciate that. We'd have no problem staying here, again...

I wish we had time borrow a canoe, hike and use the sauna. We had site number 12 a pull through with full hook ups. It is an end unit and we enjoyed it. The campsites in the center row have you facing the backside of another camper and it's hook ups. There are pull thrus, back in sites, tent sites, and adorable log cabins for rent. All sites come with a picnic table. There is a lot of shade. We felt very safe and even left our bicycles outside of our RV overnight.

Periodically, we need to empty the waste tanks and refill the water tank of our motorhome. Sometimes we need to top off the propane. Each time we go to the Trout Creek RV Park, we are impressed anew with the friendly helpfulness of the people who run the place. Additionally, their fees are very fair. Once in a while, we spend a night there and find the surroundings to be both pleasant and convenient. Highly recommend these fine people and their business.
