Disclaimer: I like Cutters Point generally. The coffee can be a bit disappointing, depending on who makes it--but usually it's good and the baristas are always very friendly and nice. Generally a pleasant experience. That being said, some of the employees don't know how to make cappuccinos. My sister and I went into Cutters Point one afternoon and ordered two cappuccinos, wet cappuccinos--which means less foam, just a little more foam than a latte. What we received were 80% foam with a smidgen of liquid at the bottom. Bottom line: the drink cups almost entirely empty. Certainly not worth the ~$4 we paid for each. HOWEVER, when we told them what we wanted more specifically--even though they seemed very confused, "that's what a cappuccino is" they said--they did remake the drinks (lattes instead, not cappuccinos) and we didn't have to pay extra. I was very aggravated. However, both girls were pleasant, customer service was good in face of a complaint, and the lattes they made were good besides, so even in light of the cappuccino fiasco I would come here again. So, 3 out of 5. ...but please don't hand anyone else an entire cup of milk foam and call it a cappuccino again. read more

I love this joint. I've been to the other one in the Costco plaza, but I come here more often because the noise levels are lower. The acoustics of the building aren't set to echo, so it's quieter. There's a fire place and two sofas in front with some board games. There are several tables and it's never too packed that there's no place to sit. The bathrooms are nice and everything's clean. All of their drinks are good and there's wifi. It's a nice place to get work done. read more

Got a Dark Choc Mocha coffee the other day and it wasn't mixed and coffee tasted burnt. 2" of syrup in the bottom. They were out of most desserts. Another time we went for breakfast and coffee and it was like eating gas station breakfast sandwiches and hotel coffee. Not worth the cost. read more

I'm a fan of the Marvin Road location and had yet to try this one. Stopped in on my way to work (out of the way but running early) and was skeptics since the line was a bit long and moving slowly. I suppose if you are ordering some crazy coffee concoction it's fair to say it'll take some time. My Americano came out relatively quickly (nothing too labor intensive there). The barista was super sweet and friendly! The straws are much appreciated. My Americano was extremely smooth... Probably one of the best around. Too bad I had to wait 45 minutes for it to cool down enough to drink it! Not a total deal breaker... Just not my first choice if I want to drink my coffee when I get it. read more

I stopped in after making the trip to Mountain Home Bakery for a much needed carrot cake muffin, and found the drive thru easy to use, service fast, and my drink as expected. I rarely treat myself to a good coffee and I've always had good coffee from the Martin Way location but I decided to stop by the Lacey blvd location today. I ordered my usual white mocha with soy milk and it tastes like straight hot soy milk, cannot taste the white chocolate or even the coffee in it! I can't even drink it.. Loooove me some CP coffee. A really good brew, period. Baristas are always friendly & my lattes are always consistent in taste. Hubs enjoys their whole bean espresso blend for his home machine. If you like chocolate, you must try their black forest mocha frap on a hot day.. yummm. The coffee here is amazing, may be a bit more expensive than others but it is well worth the quality that you are receiving. The employees are very kind and courteous as well. I am most impressed by their memory, this morning I came through the drive up and they had my bagel and coffee ready for me. A very pleasant place to work or relax. There's a fireplace as well as a private nook in back for serious students and the like. The ambiance is both cozy and spacious, thanks to the high ceilings and thoughtful architecture. The coffee is tasty and roasted by the company. The service is consistently awesome as well. I live far out in the sticks, and this place is worth the 40 minute round trip drive! Probably the only thing I'd change is the music; tends to be easy listening-ish. But I'm a music snob. read more

This place I swear makes any drink in starbucks taste like a drip coffee. Their coffee is just amazing, the smell is so attractive and for a seattlite, you'd be picky with coffee. I ordered a creme de menthe on a hot day with a Danish. Both were amazing! Everyone around me was drooling and I felt I had the best deal ever, both for $7? The staffs there are very helpful in customizing your drink and it doesn't drop a bomb in your wallet like starbucks. I'd only go to this outlet of cutter points because of the service and how they can personalize your drinks. I went to the tacoma cutters point and they were so clueless they pretty much just have me a coffee with 2 pumps of spearmint or whatever it was. Not a fan. The barista at the drive through forgot to hand me my drink. I sat there for 10min waiting for her to make all the drinks in the cars behind me. I asked her for my drink and she gave a dirty look like it was rude to ask. Then she walked up to the window and made a half assed apology with a dirty look on her face. Customer service is excellent and efficient. Ordered a salted Carmel latte which, in my opinion , needs a bit more oomph, hence, the four stars. Their warm setting is comfy and welcoming with a fireplace that one can relax in front of during fall and winter seasons. Would I go back? Yes. read more

I'm a fan. Great coffees, the barista's are friendly and knowledgeable. The seating area is quaint with a platform area that has great views of the round about and a lower level that hugs a fireplace. There is extra seating by the coffee bar too. Perfect place to read or study. They were kind of out of all their munchies when I went in, which was probably better for my calorie goal, but a little pastry would have been a nice compliment to the coffee. Light pleasant music in the background. I spent several hours here doing work on the computer and it was great..minimal distractions. As a side note they have a drive through window. Gone in here a couple times only to be disappointed each time. I've had similar experiences to some of the people below. The staff is very friendly, but seems to be a bit incompetent. I've asked for no foam on my lattes every time I go in and they always free pour my beverage so that it's layered entirely with foam. This occurring once would've been totally fine because mistakes happen; but for it to be a constant issue each time I've gone in just shows a lack of caring and desire to satisfy customer needs. Needless to say, I don't think I'll be returning here. Friendly service, in my opinion, does not justify ignoring order details. Not worth the price either. read more

I love them all and the owner is there from time to time and you can tell values not only his customers but his employees as well. You can tell they are all a very tight nit group which is what I love about it. Of course the coffee is amazing too!!! Great tasting coffee. I only wish they had more of a variety of snacks. Muffins just don't do it for our family anymore. How about some other bakery items?
