I recently lost my father and was gifted this peace lily from his funeral. I successfully killed it in the matter of a couple weeks. I took my sad plant to their little shop explained what was going on and how much this plant meant to me. He showed me what pot to buy (which I knew I was gonna need) and they repotted it for free with the purchase of the ceramic pot with drip tray. Gave me a quick plant lesson on how to care for it and sent me on my way. It's officially 6 months later and my peace lily has now bloomed and is thriving. There aren't enough stars to give or kind words in the world to say about this company. They really truly have something special going for them. Thank you Plant Gays

The shop is fun. David, the owner is helpful and good at helping you pick out the right plant for the right lighting, plus he explains how to keep plants alive (which I am so very bad at-but getting better with his help!) Learned he even makes some of his own pots. Which is so cool! Plants were reasonably priced. The two I purchased were about 17 bucks. The pots were a bit more but the quality was excellent. I am sure I will be back as I gain more confidence in being a plant mom!

The German Village location is calm, inviting, and just fun to walk through. I love looking at all the different plants, gifts, and accouterments (fun I got to use that word in a review). East Market in Olde Towne East is still open and both are probably equal distance for me so great to have another option. Service is great at both locations, and this one makes it easy to take your time, look around and explore. Don't forget to ask questions. The staff are always super helpful. I'll definitely be back and love supporting this business.

I picked up a beautiful plant, & he gave me some great tips on how to keep it healthy and vibrant. He seemed very knowledgeable about everything in his store! I didn't have very much time to do alot of shopping today, but will definitely be back during the holidays. FYI - there's some free parking out back in the lot, & street parking as well in the front. The clerk came out and they told me they didn't have it. They couldn't refund my money because they didn't have the "code". I would have to call their corporate office (but they could not give me that number-- they said I could look it up) or I could "come back some other time.' They don't care about their customers or providing good service.

The trend to reuse and refit urban structures that have gone to disuse has been in style for years now, mainly manifesting into mom-and-pop bistros, trendy micro breweries, or artistic spaces and gallory--mainly indy businesses that absolutely deserve our support in these harrowing times. But places like this are even more dear, as it's a place for green thumb locals to trade plants, give to fellow gardeners, and support each other for no price nor profit. A community building and solidifying center much indeed during these times. The plant library, if you are unfamiliar, is as its name suggest, a place you can get plants and other items for free. But unlike book libraries, you dont borrow plants, you pick up some by trading another; a kinda swap. Sitting in a abandon self-serve carwash locals also trade planters, seeds, and other item a fellow prospective botanist would desire. Just come in and sit down items and pick others up, kinda like the small book share boxes found around the city. Even more cool and community centric the Plant Library doubles as a art gallery with multiple units feature street-ish art murals, large canvas pieces, colorfully painted building structure, and interactive community wall with witty and sophomoric writing adds a street cool to the place. The background is: the place originated by the owners of Blank Slate Coffee, the coffee truck found on its premises, but then it feel out of favor for a couple year. Then the pesty bug came and shut everything down. A resident of Gahanna, while unemployed during the pandemic lockdowns took up the hobby of gardening and found it psychologically and spiritually fulfilling. So she gain community support via Facebook and got it reopened. Of course being winter now there wasn't any plants there now. The art work still makes it a trip worth going. I am a brown thumb though, everything alive I touch dies, lol, so I will have no use for that aspect, but it is a great place for those that can grow the greenery.
