i should totally gatekeep my salon as everyone else on here who has reviewed must've went a while ago with different management or just on a bad day.. this is the salon i jump up to go to, there's always a funny conversation that will make your day. and my nails are literally always want i ask for or they look the same as the photo i show. they have unbeatable prices for what they offer. i love my salon and all my nail techs. i'm always comfortable and end up feeling sleepy in the middle of getting my nails done. it's always a relaxing time here and i love how they love what they do even when they're super busy. i recommend this salon to anyone looking for anywhere to feel welcome while they get their service done. Great customer service, they always do a great job on my pedicures, great massage and have a lot of variety of colors.

I will go back for a pedicure, as I've had a few good ones. But I will never be back for a manicure. I had shellac put on here (& taken off) for my best friend's wedding. I've had shellac many, many times before. I choose this over a full set of nails because #1 it does less damage to my nails &#2 I can't have fake nails at work. I've never had anyone ruin my real nails with shellac. She used a drimmel tool to shave down my nails (why?!) and on one nail it went down into the quick of my nail underneath! It was very painful. If you are a women of color I would recommend not coming to this nail place you will be passed over and looked up and down the wrong way. I walked in and was not greeted like the other customers after me. Was not even acknowledged and staff let customers cut in front of me in the line more then once. This is a very unprofessional looking and acting business location. There are no uniforms or even matching shirts. The technician I had last Sat. never spoke a word to me. Just pointed and used gestures. It was as if she were mute. Ridiculous. You soak your feet in plain water, normally there is a bath salt or softener added to the water. My nails turned out awful so I went back for a pedicure because I thought it might be different. Nope. The polish was put on too thick and never dried. After 4 1/2 hours it was still too wet to wear normal shoes, which I tried to do. Ruined my polish. I am going back to "Bloom" in Lee's Summit. Might be busier, but I am willing to deal with the crowds to get my nails done professionally. This place needs a lot of work and someone who cares about the customers more than the money they are forking over. read more

The salon is beautiful and the service is always fantastic. They know me by name and are super friendly. My fills always look gorgeous and when they get messed up, they've always fixed it for free when I go back in. My feet are always super soft and feel great after the pedicure. Been here several times and had no problems. Came today and wasn't greeted when we walked in. Sat for at least 20 minutes still no one greeted or talked to us. Highly dissatisfied with my time here today. I understand there was only three people working but it doesn't take that much time to greet people that walk into your business. When we finally got walked to the back for our pedicures they started on a lady's manicure they came in after us and we sat with our feet in the water for over 15 minutes, which is way longer that I have ever soaked my feet before. One of the employees could've started on one of us instead of helping someone who came in several minutes after us. Feel like they were rushing when they were doing my nails. Visited on a Sunday at 1230. Waited for awhile to get a pedicure, which was no problem. After my foot soaked for about 45 secs an older woman started my pedicure. She paid no attention to even making sure the nail file was on my nail when she filed. Then I was told it was a Sunday and they didn't do nail designs today. To come back thru the week. I would of paid whatever they wanted if they would of done the designs for me. So after she rushes thru my pedi the lady never came back to get money or check on me. This place is a joke, no nail licenses in sight. My polish wasn't even painted to my skin. $25 for a pedi that lasted less than 10 mins. read more

Never know for sure if Chris (the owner) is going to be in a good mood or a bad one !! Sometimes friendly,. sometimes quite stand-off-ish . Shows up late for early appointments sometimes. Says he's getting bored with same routine. His wife works there also and likes to stir the pot,... once telling another employee that she didn't like my wife,...who knows why. She sometimes would chat with Chris about his family and engage in small talk like some patrons do. He is young enough to be our grandson so no type of flirting going on here. Very beautiful inside, it just got remodeled. Its an inviting open space. However, the service was absolutely terrible. Ive never had such horrible service in a nail salon. The guy was very short with all of his answers, like telling me they no longer do eyebrow waxing even though they are still advertising it. He took a smoke break before servicing me which wasnt a problem but he made me feel like I was a burden. I thought maybe he's just having a bad day so I complimented his necklace and continued to get my nails done in silence. But what was upsetting is that he talk me out of getting a certain style. He said it would cost to much to glitter on my white tips and pink on my nail bed. He also only gave me one glitter option and stated if u dont like it we dont have one for you. So I just went the pink on my nail bed and he still charged me $31 for a fill. He did not clean the pink off my tips and the nail he fix isn't even straight. After all that I was still going to tip him and not take it personal but he gave me my change and immediately left the salon for another break while conversing with his coworker. And this is why I won't go to Cute Nails in Harrisonville anymore, so watch out...!!! I was a loyal customer until I started noticing that every time I went they would charge me a different price for the same manicure and pedicure for either my daughter or myself. So, today after almost a year of absence, I decided to go with Angela. Knowing the facts, I came prepared!! I looked at their price chart before hand and it said: " Princess Manicure $10; Regular Pedicure $25" since, they didn't have the gel manicure price listed, I asked Gene to call, they told him $30. According to me, I had everything figured out. Then, when the time came to pay, they wanted to charge me $12 for Angela's princess manicure, $35 for my pedicure, and $35 for my gel manicure. So, I quietly got their price chart and showed them their prices; the owner rudely called me out in front of everyone saying "Lady, you have been coming here for years and you know that we charge extra $5 to remove your gel" Since he was so vocal, I went on to yelling too saying, "And this is why I haven't been here in a long time, because you always want to charge me extra, I knew this was going to happen!!" Honest to God, I wasn't aware they charged extra for removing the gel which is part of the manicure. Besides, NOWHERE else I have ever been charged for that before. He was just mad because he had no way to justify to charge me those extra 2 dollars for Ángela, $5 extra for my pedicure, but got away with the extra $5 to remove my gel polish. This is a shame!! Cute Nails is a nice place and they work well, but it's not ok they charge you whatever they want just because... I will not go back there again!! I've been here once but probably will never go back. The salon itself is beautiful. I did feel welcome once I entered. I was even offered a beverage. But I was not impressed with the quality of my manicure/fill. My french manicure chipped and broke the very next day. Just a warning about the charges for a pedicure - the card at my chair said $37 for a green tea pedicure, but when I went to pay he said it was $48! He walked over to another chair & the card he showed me had a taped over dollar amount with the new price. But I told him MY card didn't have that! He said his boss hadn't got all the cards updated. I have really tried to refrain from writing a negative review, but after giving this place NUMEROUS chances this must be shared. I am in the beauty industry, so I understand how the business works. The first time I went to this nail salon the service was amazing. Tim was the service provider. Unfortunately, he doesn't work there anymore. Each visit (8 times in 6 months) gradually got worse....... I should have quit going after the third time, but there is not many places to get pedicures in this town so I put up with it. The technicians are not properly trained or they just do not care. I think it is a combination of both. They are very cold when you walk in and even the temperature of the water is cold when its 29 degrees outside. They barely cut your toe nails. If you have calluses forget it..... This is why i get a pedi every month and pay extra for callus removal. They rush you in and out. This place is not busy, so you would think your business would be appreciated. Oh and massage........ What massage???? It is terrible. They make it pretty clear your not welcome. A huge huge pet peeve........ STOP TALKING ON YOUR CELL PHONE WHILE GIVING A PAYING CLIENT A SERVICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE NOT THAT IMPORTANT!!! FURTHERMORE, I DONT WANT TO PAY TO LISTEN TO YOUR POINTLESS CONVERSATION THAT I CAN'T EVEN UNDERSTAND!!!!! WHAT WORLD ARE YOU LIVING IN??????
