I went mainly for a new style and some help with my bangs. I had gotten my bangs cut by a different stylist at another salon and they weren't what I asked for, so I wanted some help from the salon I thought I could trust. First, when I got my hair washed I was expecting the full service, like a hair mask and hand massage, but for some reason I didn't get that. Second, I asked for a shag cut with lots of layers in the back and my baby bangs to be fixed and styled differently. What I got was uneven bangs and long layers. My stylist didn't know how to help me fix my bangs and repeatedly tried to style them, but I still left with my bangs sticking up and super choppy like my 4 year old sister cut my bangs. Instead of experimenting on my hair, I would've been much happier if my stylist told me she can't achieve the style I wanted. After, I was embarrassed so I just paid and left hiding my bangs. When I got home sobbing, my mom called the salon asking if I could get my service refunded. They called back saying that I could only get $20 back. They also mentioned that I was the one that came in with uneven bangs. We are very disappointed with how this salon manages these complaints because we at least expected them to offer to fix what was done to my bangs. I came to get my hair cut to boost my confidence, but I left feeling even worse than I did before. Me and my family will not be returning to this salon. I asked for a balayage and to bring my blonde up with a root melt. She claimed my hair was orange due to it being dark even though it was my natural grown out hair, that she has taken from dark to blonde before- with zero issyes. I didn't get what i asked for. No balayage, no root melt. The only melting that was happening was my hair. I stated I wasn't happy once I was blow dryed and Morgan "fixed" it by adding in lowlights and a partial refund. She claimed that toner wouldn't do anything (it would have) and for me to use purple shampoo (Purple wont / didn't tone the orange catastrophe that was my hair). I had to go to another salon and get it extremely color corrected and do lots of conditioning treatments to save the integrity of my hair. The stylist showed me parts of my hair that were gummy, overprocessed, broken off and extremely splotchy. I was completely upset by this. I got my hair cut by Jill yesterday. It was one of the worst experiences I've had. I brought a…read morepicture and she said it was shorter than what I had and she'd need to cut an inch off. I told her I really didn't want it to be much shorter and challenged her assessment showing her where the hair in the picture ended, which was at the bottom of her collarbone. That's exactly where mine was and I questioned just getting the layers taken up a bit and shaped. She agreed so we proceeded. She started the cut with my chin down in the back. Next thing I know, she feels for my collarbone (the top), pulls the wet hair very taught and cuts it. Now, you don't need much of a brain in your head to realize that your hair is going to dry shorter than when you pull it straight down when it's wet. You also don't need much of a brain to realize that if you do this when someone's chin is down, the hair is going to be at least an inch shorter when they put their head back up. When I mentioned that the hair was too short, she started making excuses about the layers and saying that she's been cutting hair for 31 years. I have also cut hair and the angles of the layers are completely wrong (the layers should've been convex and they are concave), the layers on the side of my head are completely different from the layers in the back of my hair and she cut it 2 inches shorter than the picture. When I brought up that the layers were wrong, her alternative was to cut it even shorter. I said no thank you and I prepared myself to leave. She said "well, what do you want me to change because I want you to be happy". Unless you can reattach the 2 inches, there's no chance of me being happy. I prepared to leave, and this woman still charged me full price, knowing that she completely botched my hair. If you walk in without a preference and let her do whatever she wants, you MIGHT get a decent haircut. Doubtful based on my experience, but maybe. If you walk in with a picture, hoping for your hair to look like that when you leave, I don't think there's much of a chance of that happening. She showed that she's going to do what she wants to your hair not what you want.
