If I could give this place negative stars I would. Seems pointless giving them one star. I was overcharged $85.56 by Custom Style 1 clothing store on Venice Beach. Sales rep on the floor was all too friendly and said tank tops were $25 each but would reduce the price to $19 if I bought 2 tank tops. I bought 2 tank tops at the agreed price of $19 each and 2 other miscellaneous items. I was told by the same sales rep one misc item was $10 and the other was $15. Total for all 4 items should have come to $63. But I was charged $148.56 total, so merchant overcharged my card by $85.56. Merchant did not provide a receipt, and I being trusting did not ask for one. I discovered the over charge when I checked my bank account the next day. I tried looking up the merchants phone number to dispute the charge but I was not able to find a phone number or other contact information on line. I only found bad reviews on google and yelp. This location is right on the corner in a prime spot and I've never been bamboozled before but this was a first. Nothing in the store has prices. The sales person verbally gives the prices with a mask on and blaring music. She quoted lower prices, she quoted lower prices for the prints, then rang up a total that seemed decent & explains that we purchased three, to add two more. I ask about using the sweater as one of the three & getting just 1 more instead (since I had 3 shirts & one sweater already). She said yes, so we did another piece. The price went from $106 (without the sweater) to nearly $300 adding the sweater and "free" shirt. I argued it with the second employee who rang it up the second time & he immediately got frustrated, which should have been a sign there. Normally when you're questioning a misunderstanding on the price, people don't get angry but he wanted to make it an argument. He had the girl come over and made it a big unprofessional ordeal. Ultimately he "gave a discount" however, we were were only 1 additional sweater & shirt, but $100 more than the first price she gave us. I let it go and just purchased it, with feedback about the music, lack of prices on things & misconceptions. He said "okay thanks sweety, I'll tell the owner" and didn't seem to care. Honestly, we would have purchased and spent more if they were just honest with us. I could have seen myself contacting them later for more shirts too (I own a business myself), but with how shady they are, it's obvious they are cheating people and we don't want to continue business with people who aren't trustworthy. Total tourist trap...and I live here in LA I purchase a pre roll and some THC gummies. I spent $56 on those 2 items which is ridiculous. I swear the gummies have no THC, and the pre roll was so weak. The gummies we're supposed to have 600 mg of THC. There are 6 pieces making one gummy 100 mg. There is no possible way. I googled the product and found that the bags are sold online, so they could have easily purchased them and filled them with their own gummies. Nothing has a price tag on it. If you ask the cost you are quoted the price for the item but not whatever print is on the back or front. For example: a sweatshirt was $34.99 but then there was a $49.99 charge for a large print (on the back) and a $14.99 charge for a small print (on the front). This sweatshirt was one of many on a rack already printed so a customer would not know about "printing ". Then we purchased a sleeveless shirt that was $28.99 with an added cost of $29.99 because it had a print on the front (again, no mention of the printing charge) The little man who sells you these items acts very friendly. He told my son he could get a free T-shirt but would have to pay the print. That free T-shirt cost $34.99 with an additional $30 custom fee. One sweatshirt and two T-shirts $245 They tell you a fake total, don't show you the screen or give you a receipt. I was alerted by my credit card immediately so I went back and asked for the receipt. The little man became immediately aggressive and wanted my phone number? He printed the receipt but would not let me have it. He crumpled it up in his hands. I told him I wanted to return the items but he said I couldn't. So I announced to everyone in the store what I paid and his potential customers fled. He eventually gave me a receipt and said he was sorry I couldn't afford his items. There's a younger person who does the ringing up. I thought he was an innocent person in all of this but recognize him in the Instagram pictures. I called my credit card company who said the business name was FQ*. Sounds like.... there's something in that name that reflects their mission m. I Reached out to my credit card company and they said they would put the charge as fraud. $98.50 for a graphic tank and a pair of printed shorts. Came in the store because I wanted a buy a tank top. The tank top is $20 (outrageous already), and to add a design is another $20. I don't need to detail the rest. And the design on my shirt is already peeling in the middle because they don't know how to properly heat press a shirt. Most outrageous of all, the designs aren't even their own. I found the design that I chose on eBay for thirteen bucks. I basically paid an extra $30 to watch a foreign guy with a topknot press my tank for a few minutes, and the eBay shirt probably wouldn't be peeling right now either.
