In the meantime, our cast iron bar stools swiveled into the edge of the bar, causing chips in the main Formica countertop. It finally felt like the right time to make the change. Edan at Midwest Marble and Granite helped me select attractive elements like the sink, faucet, quartz material, and backsplash ceramic tile. Because of her experience as an interior decorator, I really valued her insights. On installation day, I was truly impressed by Jake, Carlos, and the team. They worked tirelessly to remove the old countertops and backsplash and to ensure the heavy new countertops were perfectly aligned and level. I had no idea how physically demanding this work could be. The next day, during backsplash installation, the same praise goes to Patrick, Frank, Eddie, and Austin. They spent hours bending over the counters, meticulously cutting, placing, and grouting ceramic tiles on four walls. That has to be backbreaking, especially for someone as tall as Frank! Midwest Marble and Granite transformed my kitchen with high-quality materials that were expertly installed in a timely and friendly manner. What more could I want?

We wish we had read reviews prior to hiring this company as we had a similar experience as others…read more After less than a year of installation, we received stains all over our outdoor granite despite the fact they professionally sealed it and we followed their directions on covering it for the winter. When we finally got someone to come out, instead of working to remove the stain, they put a sealer over the stain and said there was nothing more that they can do. We have attempted to work out a resolution with the company multiple times but to no avail. Several local granite companies said they sold us the wrong kind of granite for outdoors. There are many reputable granite companies in KC. This is NOT one of them. Take your time and look elsewhere.

Stay far away from Granite Center in Lenexa. We had the worst experience with them. The job was…read moredone very poorly. Cabinets were damaged, broken quartz was installed, and the overhang was inconsistent. We had a full height backsplash installed that was 1/4 inch too short and wood shims were put in the gap between the quartz and the upper cabinet with no caulk to cover them. Immediately after they left I contacted the office and the installer with pics of the job and asked how these things would be fixed. They came out and determined there was too big of a mess and there was nothing they could do to fix it. Needless to say we ended up taking them to small claims court. We won the judgement through mediation and the day they were to come and pick up the quartz and return our downpayment to us our lives were threatened. We recorded the whole incident. The police were called and we filed a report. We have since received our payment. I am writing this review to hopefully save others from having to deal with this company.

We were very disappointed in the overall job we received from Jericho…read more Started out with a very high pressure salesman "sign right now or price will go up tomorrow" which my wife and I really didn't think was a sign of a top notch company. Jericho was running several commercials at the time, one was get $5,000.00 off your remodel. we didn't qualify for that because we were getting only new counter tops, sink, and back splash not a complete Kitchen. They were also running a 5% off your remodel at the same time. We were told that we received a 7% discount the night we signed the papers even thou the salesman said we received that 7% because we paid cash and because of the fact we signed the contract the first night, that our price wouldn't be available the next day. Then we had problems getting the template person out to measure because the paperwork got put on the wrong desk. The job was done in good time, but we only saw the foreman the day the job started and the day it finished. We had some issues with chips in the granite and some tile work that wasn't real good. They told us the man would be out to repair the Granite and he didn't show, well he was on vacation that week is what we were told. the next week he still didn't show and we were told oh he wasn't on vacation last week he is on vacation this week? He finally did make it the next week, and did a good job repairing the granite. I told him how unhappy we were and we felt we got a Box Store Job for a Jericho price! we didn't have this great feeling we expected because we used a "Top Notch Company, not your typical box store. Well I relayed that unhappiness via the repair guy 4 days ago and have heard nothing from them. I also filled out an online survey about 2 weeks ago that they sent me and I didn't give them very good ratings and Ive heard nothing about it as well. Very disappointed, I will check with one of the local box stores in the future and save myself several thousand dollars. I realized we were paying a premium for picking Jericho to do the job, but again if you listen to the commercials the owner says we only hire expert craftsman and "close enough is not good enough" But like the discounts on the commercials, that was just talk! I am writing this review to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the remodeling project…read morefor my small 41 sq. ft. bathroom, which began on October 10, 2025. While the project is technically "complete," the over six-month process was mired in errors, poor management, and a lack of quality control. Throughout the project, we encountered numerous issues that directly contradicted our contract, which was kept on-site for Jericho's team members reference. These included: - Design and Material Errors: The initial vanity was too large for the space, the wrong floor tile was ordered, and an alabaster sink was installed despite the contract specifying white. - Installation Failures: The floor tile had to be replaced because a self-leveling agent was not used, followed by the application of incorrect grout which had to be removed and replaced. The shower tile was initially laid horizontally rather than vertically. - Quality Issues: The vanity top was delivered with multiple surface blemishes, and the refinished cabinet doors had to be sent back to the shop for correction. - Project Management: Despite having a dedicated project manager, my wife and I felt we had to perform the majority of the quality control and oversight. There were many other issues and problems not listed above regarding communication and quality. Regarding the document I signed mid-project agreeing not to seek a discount: I signed this while injured and under significant stress. In exchange for hanging three pieces of paneling, Jericho required me to waive my right to a discount for all aforementioned errors. We find it disappointing that the company is using this signature to avoid accountability for a project that fell well below professional standards. Typically, a Change Order is emailed to the customer for review and signature followed by a copy being emailed to them. This didn't happen. I was only presented with a signature box on pad and asked to sign. I admit to the mistake of signing this document. Jericho has requested full payment stating the project meets "Jericho standards," we disagree. We are choosing to live with remaining defects--such as the unlevel floor trim--simply to end this six-month ordeal and remove their employees and equipment from our home and garage. Given the significant delays and the repetitive nature of these mistakes, we still believe a discount on the final payment is the only fair resolution. We had hoped Jericho would do the right thing and reach a reasonable agreement rather than holding us to a signature obtained under duress during a "nightmare" renovation. It appears we were wrong once again. I can in no way recommend Jericho Home Improvement to anyone for any home improvement project. There are better options.
