The next day I showed up for my appointment and we started my nails, 15 minutes later another client walked in stating she had an appointment. So, Mai checked her schedule and the booking was for the client that had just walked in. Mai began to yell at me about not changing my number and said that I didn't confirm my appointment so she cancelled it. I showed her my email and told her that I did confirm but she continued yelling about me not confirming. She stated that she thought I was fake or a scam because I didn't text her beforehand. I told her again that I confirmed through email. I apologized for the misunderstanding between us but she was still upset. She told me to move out of the chair and wait until she was done her client so I moved -- but, I was in shock about how she had just handled everything and how badly she treated me as a first time client. I've never been yelled at by any nail tech, lash tech, or hair stylist up until then. I told her I would pay her for work on my one hand and would leave but she told me just to wait and not to pay because she wasn't done. By that point I was holding back tears and just wanted to go home, so I told her I would leave and go back in 30 minutes but I never did end up returning because of how hurt I was by her behaviour. She was persistent on getting me to stay so I felt that I had to lie in order to leave. I myself am an eyelash technician and couldn't imagine ever treating any of my own clients that way, let alone first time clients. She lacks in professionalism. Moral of the story, if you are going to book with her for the first time make sure she texts you instead of emailing you. To her, you're not a confirmed client if you aren't texting. Do your best not to upset her either because she will yell and argue with you. I cried all the way to a salon where I got the work removed!

Mai kept great conversation about everything while I was getting my nails done. She was very entertaining and also very sweet. I was told that I would receive special ingrown treatment. However, I ended up with the easthetician not doing anything about them. Yet, I was charged for the most expensive pedicure. The last straw for me was getting gel nails done in there. The technician had no attention to detail and sent me home with super thick and blotchy gel thumbs and pain all throughout my fingers. I did get a partial refund, but it was just so disapointing.

They are hidden away in the Wal-Mart, so I think a lot of people don't know about it! I thought I better tell all the yelp buddies. :) We both got the deluxe pedicure and they do so much! There was a hot stone massage, paraffin wax, calf massage, oil, it was crazy! For only $65 too. We were there for like 1.5 hours and a lot of it was just massages! I thought that was so relaxing. I have never had paraffin wax during a pedicure before but my feet are so soft right now. I was so happy because I had some calluses that needed to be gone. They were nice to my partner who was squirming around (his first time)! It was a new experience for him so I'm glad it was a good one. His feet are so nice and soft now... I've honestly never seen them like this before. I really only do simply nail polish on my nails and I went with gold and pink! I think it looks cute. I will definitely be coming back here. I think for the price, you can't go wrong. I would 10/10 recommend this place to others! It wasn't too busy either which was nice.

I did call to say that I would be 10 minutes late when I walked in at 11:15 apologizing from my lateness I was told that she couldn't do my nails as she booked another appointment at 11:30 a.m. just this morning. Well as any one would be, I was quite angry. I said it takes an hour or so to do a nail fill. Why would you book another appointment a half an hour or later?? Are you greedy? Yes, I said that. She didn't have an answer for me. She just smiled and laughed and looked at her coworker and spoke to her in another language.... even more rude. I used to go to the salon years ago and then I moved and came back and I was looking forward to coming here again every 3 weeks but not at this location. Not at Regal Salons Higher management really needs to look into the customer service or rather lack of it at this particular location. With all the other nail salons out there you would think that they would try their best to accommodate people, especially when we are trying our best to get there.
