So I found Mr. Kennedy on a Google search and he took my call. He said his day was already mixed up and he had planned a project he could hold off on which meant he was at my house in an hour. He checked everything and no leak could be found in the house. He said he would come back the next day, Monday early and work on it some more. He found it wasn't leaking coming into the house. He put on a shut off valve in my crawl space which helped isolate the issue. Turns out he loves to BBQ and loves the Kentucky Derby. Mr. Kennedy is a very nice person. He identified the leak and found where it is. I'd call this local business again and I recommend this company.

He gave me a quote and told me someone would call to schedule. I felt he quote was high, but this was on a Thursday and I had no water in my house. The office called and stated they could do it on Monday morning. I went ahead and scheduled. When i spoke to my family, they told me the quote was outrageous and they knew someone who could complete the repair for considerably less. I live on a fixed income, so this was a relief to me. I called back the same day and let them know that I just could not afford what they were asking for repair. I was able to get the repair done for less that 1/2 of their quote. I received a bill 3 months later for $48 trip charge and $88 estimate charge. No one ever mentioned these charges, neither the plumber nor the office when I called to cancel on Friday. I would not recommend this company. Their charges are twice or more of what anyone else charges and their customer service is terrible!!

A plumber finally comes out and is over 40 minutes late but the worst part was that he asked me where the valve is supposed to go...and he says he hasn't ever installed one before...he stands there looking absolutely clueless about my request and he doesn't take any measurements or notes or anything he just kept asking questions about the valve and who is going to inspect the valve after it's installed and then he left. I won't be calling them for anything again because why would they send someone out to my house that doesn't seem to know what to do? And I read the previous reviews about how this company sends you a bill later. So they never mention an estimation fee.

Drake would never treat their customers like such and I'm sure if they knew this was the service or lack thereof they would not have sold it to this company. It is my regret that I cannot speak positively about business but I feel that people need to know what they're buying. The unit will sell itself but the service is more important because people need to know that a company will show appreciation for someone paying 1000's of dollars and want reliable preventative service to make their hvac system last. I'm sad to know this is the kind of service or lack thereof Bassett provides. DO BETTER BASSETT, SHAME ON YOU. You have cancelled every service scheduled and conveniently waited the same day to cancel. How much more inconsiderate and unappreciative can you be!
