She then told me to wear this pair for a few weeks to ensure the prescription was correct before ordering the second pair I wanted. You can bet I'll be back to purchase that second pair of glasses there - but I cannot get over the professional and courteous service they provided to me before I'm even a paying customer.

When I called to make the appointment, I was told their "insurance person" would review my…read moreinsurance and use what was in my best interest. However, fees were never discussed prior to the exam. They had me sign that I received my prescriptions BEFORE I even saw the doctor. When I questioned this they said it was for insurance purposes. There was also a $39 fee for a "picture" of your eye that you had to sign for. Get this, the picture was mandatory but they only charged the $39 if you wanted the doctor to read it. Wait, What? Then they charged $90 for the contact FIT fee. When I debated the charges, they wouldn't give me my contact lens prescription! Yet they had me sign before the exam that I received it! The doctor and pre-exam staff were friendly and helpful, but the billing woman was not, and I felt pressured into their office procedure nonsense. I just wanted a simple eye exam.

Due to COVID-19, call ahead to make an appointment to look at frames! The people here were great and did not show even an ounce of annoyance as I essentially tried on every single pair of frames even in the store -- even though that meant they would then have to sanitize each and every pair. Once I selected a pair and worked with an optician to place the order, we ran into a roadblock with my insurance, as another provider had already submitted a request for benefits authorization. Rather than telling me to leave and figure it out with my insurance, one of the opticians called my insurance directly and got the issue resolved while I waited. I was quoted 1-2 weeks for my new glasses to be ready, and to my surprise, I got a text the next morning that my glasses were ready! My glasses were fine when I picked them up, but later that night I noticed there was a very small crack in one of the lenses. I brought them in the next day and Flanders Family Eyecare replaced the lens free of charge. Again, I was quoted 1-2 weeks for the replacement, yet they were ready the next day. Such a quick turnaround time and a very wide selection of styles!

They each in turn introduced themselves and informed me as to what their role is and what today's exam would entail. I made my way from reception, to the eye exams, to the doctor, then to the optician for the choice of lenses and frames. There was a lot of information to absorb. I had a tonne of questions. Every question was answered professionally, and without feeling judged or rushed. They were very patient and very kindly explained everything in detail. Who knew there were so many options! One night I got my contact stuck and he drove in the middle of the night to his office to see me and remove it. Excellent service and expert care. The exam was extremely thorough, and I loved the Optomap option instead of dilation; makes for a better drive home! The staff is incredibly friendly & helpful, and makes sure that your visit there is a happy and smooth one. I was recommended to go to Advanced Eyecare, and am very happy with my decision to go here. I also got glasses for the days that I don't wear contacts, and their selection is numerous! Lots to choose from. The optical department will make sure you get a pair that actually looks good on you...and I am a guy, so that is really not my forte! She was amazing when my daughter was first getting fitted for contacts. She apologized for having us come back a few weeks in a row as she kept trying different brands of contacts to see which one my daughter felt the most comfortable with. I don't wear contacts so I had no idea that different brands fit differently. I've referred half of my office to her and they all love her as well.

It has been a long time since I had an eye exam. Dr. Mann came highly recommended and I can see (…read moreno pun intended) why. It was easy to make an appointment. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I arrived 20 minutes early and filled out some basic paperwork. I waited no more than 15 minutes, and a nice nurse took me in the first of several rooms to test my eyes, and finally have doctor Mann check me for glaucoma and a prescription . Because there is new equipment out you don't have to have your eyes dilated anymore. I told Dr. Mann that I could not have my eyes dilated and be able to drive. He assured me it wasn't necessary. This place is in a large medical building across from the Rockaway Mall. There is plenty of free parking. I would definitely recommend coming here if you need an eye exam or have any problems with your vision.

I just got done the cataract surgery on my both eyes during two weeks apart from 08/25 - 09/08/2020. I can't be more happier for the results. I can see more clearly and things are so vivid after the surgery. I thank the Dr. Eric B. Mann for what he had one for me, and the office staffs who helped me with sufficient information for I was bit nervous. I recommend to anyone who needs sight helps!
