For example, furniture delivery times were set based on the convenience of the store and the delivery company out of NJ - I was given no say in the day or time of delivery and deliveries were scheduled on the day before they were to occur. My attempt to discuss my dissatisfaction with the way the delivery was scheduled was turned into a personal attack on me in which I was accused of wanting things to go badly. In fact, after I complained, I was no longer treated with respect: I was talked over /steamrolled to the point where I would not get a word in edgewise and I was told I needed to move the damaged armoire they delivered myself (even though I was 9 months pregnant!) so that I could read them a serial number off the back. To make matters worse, since the company is owned and operated by a mother and her daughters, it was impossible to speak with someone impartial when an issue arose. Although the store was quick to brag about its customer service, I never experienced it. I would advise everyone to avoid this store.

Calling first before coming here was a breeze especially when Dean asked if I was looking for a Spiritual or 'Happy' Buddha then reassured me they have a varied selection. Taking a last-minute trip here, was a must the day before our friends' Saturday wedding. Located at the Palisades Mall (by Macy's) in Nyack, Glowing Candle greets you with different Buddhas, Crystals, Quartz, Fairy statues, etc. They were known primarily for their candles, but somehow shifted to offering Spiritual items for the mind, body and Soul. With so many different Buddhas that have a different message depending on the posture and mudras (hand gestures), we had a specific type in mind. We chose the Dhyana mudra with both of Buddha's palms almost overlapping and resting upward on the lap made out of volcanic ash. Service from Dean was incredible and took the time to clarify a few things about his products. Plus, he boxed our gift and filled in the gaps with tissue paper. I may not be so keen on gallivanting at the Palisades Mall- but coming to this shop, getting what I want and heading back out, wouldn't be a problem.

*BUYER BEWARE* I…read moremade a purchase from this company, paid 3 day shipping and after a month I reached out to learn it went on back order. Weeks later and I still did not receive my sons coat. Well into the winter we decided to cancel the order as the vendor claims the shipping company lost the package. Seems to be a huge lack of communication on their end. A few days later we received the coat. No discount was offered, instead the owner tells me I can pay full price plus shipping to keep it. I laughed at the customer service. At this point any retailer including their company has their coats at a large discount due to end of season. I request a label and left the package sealed to return. Two and a half weeks pass and I receive threatening voicemails and emails. I'm sorry I didn't realize I had a deadline to return your coat that took two months to ship!!!!! The owner sounds inexperienced, unprofessional, and rude. All of this makes me question the quality and reliability of what he even claims his coats do.
