In April 2025 we were provided an estimate for their Classic Package for our May 2026 wedding. Based on that conversation, we believed we could finalize our selections later in the planning process. What we were never told was that the estimate would expire just four days later on May 8, 2025. At no point during the tasting or afterward did anyone explain that we needed to finalize the menu immediately to retain the quoted pricing. In fact, no one from the company ever followed up to request our final menu Months later, when the communication lapse was discovered, the mistake was acknowledged and we were told the original estimate would be resent. When the updated estimate arrived, the price had nearly doubled with no meaningful explanation. We attempted multiple times to find a reasonable compromise so we could continue working together, but every option required us to absorb a very large and unexpected price increase. Despite acknowledging the communication breakdown on their end, the company still retained our $500 deposit. As someone who also manages a small business, I understand that mistakes happen. What matters is how a business handles those mistakes. Unfortunately, in this case the responsibility was pushed onto the customer. Couples considering this caterer should make sure every pricing detail, timeline, and expiration date is clearly documented upfront to avoid a situation like this.
