Neither of these Dentists have pictures on this listing and neither of these doctors have any reviews that I saw on this listing but I asked that they please revise the yelp listing to reflect the current status of their practice. At no point did any staff ever tell me that we were going to be seeing someone other than Denise McGrade! So, when I find out that my husband took my daughter's teeth cleaning and I asked how she liked Denise McGrade, I was told she saw Dr. Key. I was like who is Dr. Key???? My daughter (age 15) felt that the technician that cleaned her teeth did OK but wasn't very organized and felt that it wasn't as professional as other places we had been. I did call the office to let them know how I felt about this, and I was very disappointed and felt misled by this listing on yelp and the fact that none of the staff ever communicated with me that she would be seeing someone other than Dr. McGrade. So I share this review so that you are more informed about your decision in going to this practice. I am not sure we will return. The person I spoke to in the office apologized and said she was sorry that I felt this way. Thank you

The front office appears to have a high staff turnover, and the administrative work has been consistently sloppy. When my husband first started the dental treatment there, he provided both of our dental insurance policies so the office could file claims with both the primary and secondary insurers. Although the office accepted both insurance cards, they only submitted claims to the primary insurance and never filed with the secondary. After my husband's treatment was completed, the office required him to pay the remaining balance out of pocket, assuring him they would later submit the secondary insurance claim and issue a refund for any additional coverage. That never happened. When I later began my own treatment at the same office, I also provided both insurance policies. At no point did anyone inform me that they do not file secondary insurance claims. Once my treatment was completed, I was again asked to pay a balance that should have been submitted to my secondary insurance. Based on our previous experience, I requested that the office file the secondary claim first. I explained that once the insurance processed the claim, I would pay any remaining balance. A year and a half passed, and I never received any bill, phone call, email, or other communication regarding an outstanding balance. I reasonably assumed everything had been resolved. Later, my regular dentist discovered that the access hole in the center of my implant--the opening used to secure the implant screw--had never been sealed. When I returned to this office to have the unfinished work corrected, I was told I could not see the dentist until I paid an outstanding balance. Had the office informed me about the balance in a timely manner, I could have an opportunity to file the secondary insurance claim myself. Instead, after waiting more than a year and a half without any communication, I missed the window to submit the claim. I was left with both an unfinished dental procedure and a bill that could have been covered by my insurance had the office handled the paperwork and claims properly. Overall, my experience with this office was extremely disappointing. The lack of communication, poor administrative practices, high staff turnover, inadequate insurance processing, and failure to complete treatment properly have significantly eroded my trust. If you are still considering their services, be sure to ask detailed questions about the warranty before agreeing to any treatment. Protect yourself by ensuring every requirement, fee, and condition is documented in writing. Otherwise, you may face undisclosed costs later--such as a $350 mandatory night guard--or risk voiding your warranty. Also, patients are required to get their routine dental cleanings exclusively at this practice, or the implant warranty becomes void.

I recently had my first visit at Paragon Dentistry, specifically with Dr. Jason Hui, for a routine cleaning, and I'm very happy that I went to them. The hygienist, whose name I believe was Kathleen, was outstanding, and I made a point to make sure she'd be the one cleaning my teeth when I go back in six months. I didn't spend as much time with Dr. Hui because there was no need to, but he did a great job of explaining the examination and X-ray results and what I can expect on future visits. I'm very glad to have found this practice, definitely plan to go back, and certainly recommend them to others.

The dental hygienists and my primary dentist will truly be missed. That said, I'm sharing some constructive feedback that ultimately led me to seek care elsewhere. I had a difficult wisdom tooth extraction where, despite my dentist's best efforts, the tooth was not fully removed, leaving a retained root that affected a nerve and resulted in months of headaches. I was not prescribed any medication at the time and was advised to manage pain with Tylenol only. When I returned due to ongoing pain, I was referred to an oral surgeon who did not accept my BCBS insurance. After further research, another oral specialist discovered an additional severely decayed wisdom tooth that I had not previously been informed about. Thankfully, I was able to receive proper treatment and resolution elsewhere. Another long-standing concern was inconsistency in billing. I was frequently quoted one amount, only to be charged a different total at later visits, which was disappointing as a long-term patient--especially being in healthcare myself. The cleaning and services were rushed and nothing as I have had in the past at other places. They seemed pretty angry that I opted to not have an expensive procedure done. I have good insurance and it being the first time the bill was over $150. I paid it and went on my merry way. 6 months later they hounded me to come in for a cleaning. That ended up with them telling me that they needed to take an xray with the cleaning. With the doctor spending no more than maybe 5 minutes with me both visits and out another $120. Now to today, I walk in to the front desk, the first I spoke to was a bit rude and tells me that I have to pay my co-pay up-front of $210 for a cleaning? and xrays that the insurance covers. Telling me the insurance only covers 50%. No they only cover 50% of your inflated prices. This place is a money mill, they dont really care about their patients only how much money they can get out of them.
