Love this place, is a little pricy. But for an occasional meal it is wonderful. Best chili in the Webster area!

Sutton seemed like a good place to stop for the night during our West Virginia Rd. trip. I did…read moreliterally zero planning on that and just assumed there would be restaurants in the area but much to my unpleasant surprise, there were not very many options. I was very relieved to see this place within a pretty short walking distance from our accommodations for the night. I was also relieved to see that it was still open shortly after 7 on a Thursday night bc Google scared me saying they closed at 7. It's possible that they do bc when we walked in there was no one else there. Could also be bc it is a very small town. They don't have alcohol which was a bummer. They do have enticing sports-bar-like appetizers and fried ravioli which caught my eye. We kept it simple and both ordered burgers, I was grateful for the veggie burger option. Service was great. I, as a vegetarian, don't usually order burgers so I needed some assistance. Our server basically held my hand through the whole thing and asked me step by step how I would like mine. GF and I both succumbed to the side of fries. The burgers were served on a really delightful brioche bun with fresh lettuce. The fries were incredible. Our server went above and beyond and asked if we wanted any dipping sauces, finally a server that speaks my language. Very good experience here in this very unique restaurant.

There is axe throwing i immediately noticed upon entering. I think I was expecting something different bc it is a "Bistro". It has more of a Bar and Grill vibe. I ordered the steak bc of reviews i had read, and I was ready to love it....but it did not deliver. Both of our steaks were over cooked. Our bread, which looked delicious, was cold in the middle, perhaps frozen and reheated not long enough. Portions on then sides were small. Cheese sauce on the fries was saucy. I would have preferred actual cheese. We ultimately sent food back and ordered a burger and reuben and were pleased. Most outstanding thing was the wait service and management! They did make sure we were happy. They apologized for the leas than stellar experience. I would come back again. I felt like it was just a one off. We all have times like this. I think the menu is creative and Sutton is just such a cool vibe. I am rooting for this place!

Have you ever heard of the saying, "don't judge a book by its cover" ? Well this place fits the…read morerole of the book. At first glance, this place seems rundown and slightly abandoned. But, if you take a bite of the food here, you will most likely fall in love with the place and never want to leave. Trust me, I was unsure the place was even open at first but I quickly started to adore the food. It is a small place, with assumingely only 1 or 2 people working there, but I feel the chefs here pore their hard work and love into the food they make. The burgers here are divine and I think you'd be crazy not to get it (unless you are literally unable to, in that case I am deeply sorry for you and wish the best for you and your kin). You sit outside at Jim's but I would still arrive here if given the chance even in the freezing cold. Speaking of freezing, the prices here are frozen in time from the 90s. Everything is inexpensive especially compared to prices at other restaurants. It is hard--almost impossible--to put the greatness of this drive in into words. What's even better is that my sister loved it too! My sister is an extremely picky eater. She refuses to eat at oodles of different places (including but not limited to chipotle, Dunkin', Wendy's, Arby's, Burger King, and a lot more) but she wanted to go here for her birthday after she had first had it. All in all, I cannot recommend Jim's drive in enough and hope you come here!!

Foxfire Grill - Snowshoe, WV…read more Visited in August with family and our dog while in Snowshoe, WV. Foxfire has a dog-friendly outdoor patio, which was a big plus. The setting is lovely -- Snowshoe Plaza had a car show that day, and the surrounding area is worth exploring. In winter this is a ski hub, but in summer it's still a great spot to visit. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, and the food took at least 30 minutes to arrive. I ordered the full rack of baby back ribs with baked beans and sweet potato fries (sharing with someone else). The good: The baked beans were fantastic, and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I've ever had. Most of the food tasted great overall. The bad: The ribs were completely blackened and burnt throughout -- not just a little char, but fully charred. I've attached a photo for reference. Burnt food not only ruins the flavor, but it's a sign of poor execution and attention to detail, and over time it can be unhealthy. Overall, the location is great, the service was decent, and most of the food was solid. Unfortunately, the ribs knocked this experience down for me -- enough to take off two stars. Hopefully next time the kitchen cleans up their act. Rating: (3/5) Last visited: August 2025

I had the pulled pork sandwich and fries, and it really hit the spot. Portions are generous and the flavors are satisfying, especially when you're craving something hearty and warm. It can get pretty busy, especially during peak times, so expect a bit of a wait and slower service. That said, the staff is usually friendly, and once you're seated. If you can grab a seat by the window, the village view at night is a nice bonus.
