    Vegan Dole Whip lime flavor
    Karolina K.

When I used to eat dairy they were one of the favorite spot for custard ice cream. Now I'm happy to see that they offer vegan Dole Whip with a weekly rotation of flavors. It changes every Wednesday. Today I got the lime flavor and it was delicious

Great custard! We grabbed some custard late at night and sat in our trunk on Woodward to people watch. I would say plan for a medium line, but it moves fairly quickly.

If I could only give this joint a Zero star rating. My precious nephew & I were walking one of my sisters dogs from our home in downtown Birmingham & he wanted some Custard. I only had my IPhone on me & I instructed him to order whatever his heart desired. I was exhausted & overheated because we had spent the day together at the beach. The old woman with grey hair proceed to belittle my appearance, my nephew, and even my sister Amy Andrews. They literally took the $4 soft serve cup out of Jack's hand and proceeded to belittle myself and my 14-year-old. They told me to get the fuck out of there and that I was not welcome. They told me to go someplace that I could afford ice cream. I'm so glad that she was being a complete condescending *itch because I have the entire incident on my phone. I own multiple businesses & am a 50 year old teacher in Huntington Woods & Berkley. Thank you reading this. This will be going to the media once I complete my research.

We went to Custard Co for the first time last week. After hearing rave reviews, we decided to make the one hour trek out to Dearborn, and it was well worth the drive. The young ladies were very helpful as we decided what to get. We are huge Disney World fans, so the choice was obvious - we had to try the Pineapple Dole Whip. It was refreshing, and was perfect on a hot summers day. One of us indulged in a chocolate custard cone dipped in toasted coconut, the custard was creamy and smooth and delish and the toasted coconut was the perfect compliment. Lastly, one of us tried the Loaded Drumstick Cup, it was decadent and delicious. The best part was there was no need to cook dinner that night, because the satisfying custard filled us up!

The best. It's real custard. And the people are lovely. My favorite is caramel sundae with pecans.

Rich, perfect texture, with excellent hot fudge. The interior of the restaurant was very clean, including the floors. Everything else was, at best, mediocre. The grilled chicken wasn't even warm, despite the fact that we dined in the restaurant. This might have been because we waited almost 20 minutes for the food. The chicken was full of gristle: tough, stringy bits I couldn't chew through. The person who brought the soft serve to our table was pleasant and efficient, however several other employees were neither pleasant nor efficient. When we first walked in, the two employees at the counter were both on their phones (maybe this was why there was a huge line of people behind us). Neither greeted us, and the one who took our order did so with just a sullen "What do you want?" That person's uniform was covered in thick food spatter. Why didn't management get her a new top? While waiting for employees to get off their phones to take our order, we saw and heard several other employees gathering behind the counter to complain in loud voices about their work. All of these service issues point to a need for *much* more employee training, not to mention closer attention by store management. Would I return to Culvers? Hard to say.

It was a lovely experience and the food was for the most part very delicious. Service was friendly and good but a tad on the slow side (not our server's fault, they seemed pretty busy and I think she may have been the only waitress working, so she was absolutely juggling a ton). They were out of the "pretty potatoes" which was disappointing because they sounded super delicious. The restaurant is a little dark and when very busy can get a little loud. The three women at the table next to us were having a very loud conversation (of which I picked up every word) and I could barely hear my fiancé, which I didn't love, so the acoustics are a bit odd. That being said, the decor and vibe is very home-y and everyone that works there was very pleasant and lovely, from the hostess to the man that refilled our waters. We got the charcuterie plate (selected two cheeses and two meats; comes accompanied by fig jam, mustard, sardinian crackers, and cornichons), the caesar salad, the short rib, the arctic char, and the olive oil cake for dessert. All of the food was really exceptional and delicious except I found the short rib to be a tad dry. We each ordered a cocktail, I got a spritzer and my fiancé got a seasonal Pimm's cup-type cocktail that used house-made cranberry syrup. They can accommodate gluten free diets easily which is also a plus. Overall, we will absolutely be coming back!I want to try that Wagyu Pastrami Reuben!

We finally got to order and could barely hear the kid on the speaker. I said "I'd like two vanilla cones dipped in cherry and sprinkles" and he says "one cherry and one sprinkles?" I said "no, cherry AND sprinkles" he says we can't do that. I said "I've been ordering that since I was 7 and I'm almost 50!!" He responds, "ma'am, pick one!" (Excuse me?!?! After a long day and parent teacher conferences, I was not about to argue with a rude kid!) I asked him to give me a sec and we ordered two small blizzards instead. I had already waited way too long and didn't want my little one to be sad. I get to the window and no smiles like there usually are, everyone looked miserable. Never told me the total, just took my card, tipped the two blizzards upside down and handed them to me along with the card. Won't be going there again.
