Went to Cushnoc Brewing Co. last to meet with old friends that we had not seen in a long time. Pizza was sublime, a tasty thin crust with a puffy chewy outer crust. Beer was probably good, but I am not a beer drinker. My husband had the Fort Western: roasted mushrooms, crispy pancetta, fresh arugula, herbed white sauce and I had the Mill Park Pie: roasted butternut squash sauce, bacon, shaved brussel sprouts, balsamic drizzle. Mine was fantastic, my husband wished his arugula was sauteed lightly. Our biggest issue was the noise level. It was SO loud that it was almost impossible to talk to one another. Voices and laughter echoed! With that being said the place was packed and it is really nice to have an option like this in Augusta. I hope they figure out how to buffer the noise level there as it would be a nice place to be able to visit and catch up with old friends! read more

If you are coming through Augusta and looking for the one place that is the social hub of the city, this is it. Place is always booming with business, which I personally like! More importantly, they offer great specialized beer, and amazing pizza. I'd also like to point out they sell a nacho plate entree that is the best thing I've ever had. Love this place! Night out with friends, group of 8. Pizza was just okay. I didn't really see what was so special about it. Not the best I had ever had. It was a Thursday in the spring but the place had some other customers there and the sound echoed. It was incredibly loud. Having a larger group we were sat at one of the long bench tables, but there is no separation between you and the people next to you at the same long tables. Some other customers next to us had children screaming and climbing all over. The noise there made it difficult for my group to have any kind of conversation. You could only hear the person immediately beside you. Did not make for a good group outing at all. read more

We came for beer and have a quick bite. We were pleasantly surprised by the decor and atmosphere of this brewery/restaurant. The main fare is clearly pizza but the menu included several appetizers and salads as well. The service was marginal. The host greeted us at the door and brought us to our table with an almost unpleasant demeanor. The server seemed irritated immediately for some reason. We did have our two kids with us but the website did say kid friendly. They brought us heavy duty kid friendly cups with lids and straws so they were more prepared than most places. Our kids were extremely neat. ‍. On the positive side the food was amazing. This was one of the best pizzas we've had in a while. Thin crust. Flavorful sauce. Ingredients served very fresh. Salads were also fresh and tasty. Food service was very very quick. Beer was good. We both had one of their IPAs which was very good. I would go back for the food and give a pass on the service as my guess is it's a craft brewery trying to be a restaurant. At some point they're going up there restaurant game and this place will be awesome and people expect basic service. read more

Some of the best pizza in the state. Thin crust- easy on the sauce and cheese and just enough of the toppings. Cushnoc Brewing lets each ingredient shine through. Pizza was very well priced for value. I asked for extra carmelized onions and was pleasantly surprised to see only a $1.50 charge. I've been into Cushnoc several times. They have in my opinion the best pizza in Augusta, their crust tastes incredibly fresh and has wonderful characteristics from their wonderful oven. I have to give top marks to "The Diner Closes at 2PM" this is my favorite pizza, for the life of me I can't stop ordering it. The brews are excellent and they serve up quite a few options that you don't often see on tap in this area. I look forward to seeing what this establishment has to offer in the future. read more

I have a mixed review, I suppose more of a bad experience that I hope isn't the norm. The good: The place looks great, it's just what downtown Augusta needs. The food was really decent. I got a salad, good presentation, high quality, but not much flavor. It got real boring to eat after a bit. The bad: Something happened in the kitchen. You could hear a high-pressure hose being used. Then...a very strong smell of bleach...then, the flies...YUCK! My nose was so burned from the bleach I struggled with it the whole way home and then at home. I don't believe I will ever go back. I just don't understand why it wasn't dealt with after closing. It completely ruined dinner. Kitchen staff, please take note!! read more

This is a brewery that makes you feel at home. While traveling to visit a friend I stumbled across this venue on Yelp and figured getting a pizza and having a brew would be perfect. Upon arrival (with my beautiful lady friend next to me) I was greeted and seated by the owner who was very professional and genuine. He was informative and seemed excited to talk about his beers and pizza. The staff was fantastic and seemed just as enthusiastic about the products. The pizza options are fantastic, fire-cooked and delicious. The beers are smooth, flavorful and unique. Even the big dad pants with an 8% abv seemed light and refreshing and not as heavy as most berts that strong. The staff member in the taproom was one of the most optimistic staff members I have sren and I have a fair share of years as a member of management. So if you want a great beer in a city that i started yo get its identity back I would recommend Cushnoc read more
