David was great! With any luck it fixes my problem, but if not, I'll DEFINITELY be calling him back. I love that he was willing to provide what service he could over the phone, where others might have charged for an inspection. He clearly has the interests of his customers at heart.

You really only know how good a person or company is when something doesn't go as planned. This is…read moreone of those times. Tommy showed up after sending apologies for being late (traffic). Didn't have to, he wasn't late. They said he'd be there 8-10a. Said "GPS says I'll be there for 8:17a". Good start in my book. Tom toured the 2 floor home. It has brand new oil furnace, forced air in an "octopus" vent system, so we expected to be paying their high range of $500ish. That's half what others have quoted us though. We opted for sanitizer as well (with Moms allergies we decided to since it was being done). That was $200-250. Has a nice lemony scent for a little while, minor. Lasts less than an hour. Tom finished his work 1-2p and while he did turn on furnace to see if debris came out anywhere, nothing of note did at that time. It happened later on that soot and debris came out of all the vents. We contacted Tommy and here's why he gets the five stars he deserves. He immediately apologized profusely. He said while he's not sure why it was doing that now and didn't before, he will come right back out as soon as possible. He couldn't return until Saturday, he was on jobs when we told him (the day after, so one day was in between). And return he did. He texted his arrival time and apologized again when he showed up. He's genuine in demeanor, I don't get that vibe that he knew something was off. He was sincerely sorry and felt bad the job wasn't satisfied, worse felt bad my Mom's allergies were triggered. He spent several more hours this morning cleaning up anything he saw, and of course troubleshot where he thought the catches of debris may have happened. Very "extra" thorough, as best he could. Tommy stood by his work. His very words were he warranties his work, an actual warranty or moral one I don't think that mattered to him. He and I agree, the home's octopus vents and setup possibly made this job more difficult than a usual one. To me, it's how you handle those ones that go haywire that highlight what kind of a person and company you are. These guys passed with flying colors.

Tim is exactly the kind of contractor every homeowner hopes to find…read more When we bought our home, the inspector found condensation in the crawl space and warned us about the risk of mold. They suggested we hire an electrician to install a dehumidifier. That's how we originally called Tim, just to put in an outlet. But when I found out it would involve cutting into the house, I wasn't comfortable with that approach. What stood out about Tim right away is that he didn't just dive into the task--he took a step back to really understand what we were trying to solve. He listened carefully, and instead of rushing to do what was asked, he gave us thoughtful advice. Tim explained that what we truly needed wasn't just an outlet or a quick fix, but French drains to properly address the moisture and drainage problem. It was clear he was an expert in many areas, not just electrical work. Tim and his team of three worked diligently for three days. They were quiet, respectful, and incredibly thorough. Honestly, we often forgot they were even there because they were so mindful of our space. The work was done steadily and with such attention to detail that the results are better than anything the house originally came with. We are so thankful to have found such an intelligent, trustworthy person. Tim will be our first call for any future projects--we couldn't be happier with his work.

I asked them to come back out to give another look. They agreed and we scheduled a time for them to come back. They no call no showed me the day of the appointment. This is a follow-up to a review I posted recently. The company got back in touch with me (after…read moreseeing the review). We discussed what happened, how my concerns fell through the cracks, and what the company was doing to avoid that happening again in the future. They also reconsidered my request for a refund. Overall, I was very pleased with Advantage's follow up. How things initially happened was really frustrating. That said, I'm pleased to update my review to indicate that they did make things right again.

The following is an email that I sent to two different email addresses for Advantage. The original…read morecompany has now changed hands and you can't call and talk to someone in the Stillwater office. Every call is sent to a call center in Tulsa. "Just a couple of comments about what was done yesterday. (August 10th 2026) When they got here I explained that I know I have an issue down the line with tree roots. And that the last gentleman (Shannon) who came out about 2 & 1/2 years ago ran the auger down the line. (I believe it had some type of blades at the end which CUT the roots out.) He made several passes down the line, spending several minutes in the area where the roots were. It stayed clear until now. You should be able to look up the history of my account and see exactly when that happened. This time they just ran the enlarged spring down the line and pushed through the roots an 30'8" (4:22 minutes in the video) then there was another cluster of roots at 55'5" (10:01 minutes in the video) that was gone through, but not cleared out. After running the camera down the line they never attempted to auger the line again to clear out those two sections to completely clear out the roots that were in the line. It became an issue of completely replacing the whole line or those sections of the line. So reviewing the video you can see there is still going to be an obstruction because the roots were never cleared out, It felt like the whole thought process became to replace the whole line instead of clearing out the roots in the line. Because there are still roots in the line. And I was told that if I don't decide on a replacement line then I would have to pay full price if they had to come back and clear another clog, which he said could happen at any time. (Since the line was not completely cleared out of the roots as viewed by the video.) I've been a faithful customer of this locally owned HVAC/PLUMBING company before it was bought by Advantage decades ago. I feel that there should be consideration for that loyalty. Sincerely, a long time customer of Western Mechanical/Advantage Heat and Air and Plumbing." I never got a response from ANYONE within this newly acquired company, which is very disturbing. Not even an AI reply. I have since gotten a couple other estimates from other locally owned companies which were significantly lower in price than what was being pushed on me by the guy who was here. His remedy was a loan process at 6.99% for 120-180 MONTHS. I have always had the mindset that I will be loyal to a local company that has been to my house for any issues that I have had. I even purchased my Heat and Air unit from Advantage in March of 2025, from the original owner. I can no longer be that loyal customer because this experience was less than a ONE STAR review. My advice to anyone having a plumbing or air conditioning issue, don't use this new company that bought Advantage. The prices are astronomical compared to the other places that came to my house and gave me an estimate to completely replace the sewer line from my house to the main city line.
