I so recommend this family fun club for families that need child care it is there. The front desk is manned by experienced staff that can set you up with the help you need. They have a great physical therapist on site that is really good for people in recovery. Please visit and see what I say is true. Equipment consists of a dozen yoga mats, some strength bands, a half dozen kettle bells taped to look like purses, and chin-up bars. The gym does not have bathroom facilities such as showers, but it does have a water cooler. I can understand and even overlook the spartan conditions considering that it's such a fledgling program. However the uninsulated building is a problem. Remember the scene from Rocky where Stallone exercises inside a meat locker punching away at a side of beef? Conditions inside the gym in the mornings aren't that far off! Don't get me wrong, I'm no wimp. Heck, I just got back from a winter camping trip over New Years where I endured freezing temperatures for just under a week. The problem with the gym is the combination of sweating and cold combined; it's just not good. Obviously having just joined, I have no idea what summers are like, but I can't image they are pleasant in Chico's triple digit heat! The other limitation of the gym are its hours. Kaia FIT holds four classes a day, and that is it. Unless a class is being held, the gym is not open for members to exercise. This is far from being a full service fitness facility, and considering what you pay, it isn't a great deal. The one feature Kaia does provide is a single sex environment; men are not allowed. But unless you really have issues exercising in mixed company, I would take my money elsewhere. If honest local poster like me are getting their reviews scrubbed from Yelp, I wouldn't trust them.

Don't wait, don't hum and haw, at least go try it out. Personal trainer-like experience Group-training accountability Focus on fundamentals first With the ability to grow, widen or specialize Versatile training styles from cardio and strength from body weight through bands, machines and free weights I really can't say enough. Steve and Zane and the rest of the trainers get to know you, your goals, how you work and figure out what to apply to make you successful and grow to your potential and beyond. And you know what, you miss a few days, no pressure, reset and get back at it. Need something extra, just ask. I also love the community they build around them with all the members, it's like "Cheers" but for a gym. Motivation, accountability, networking, connection to the broader community, sense of belonging....it's an unexpected benefit. Young and old, men and women, everyone's included and contributes. And for those looking for a pool, or tvs for endless cardio, I suggest you at least go try it. I think you'll find if anything it's complementary or where you'll migrate to. I initially missed my audio books and TV and Peloton but realized how much I was missing out on actually getting results.

I am absolutely loving the programming! They combine strength, cardio and mobility work. I love the variety of exercises so I never get bored. My body feels great and is improving all the time. I love how they're focused on the overall person. They care about injury prevention and accommodating your individual needs. It's truly been an enjoyable fitness experience. They have multiple different workouts to choose from so you can find the right challenge for your body. The coaches are friendly and engaged. I'm really enjoying the format of the workout. There is no official class start time. Your workout begins when you arrive. This has been critical to my success. I've always struggled with being there at the exact same time. In other gyms, I'd show up late and miss the warm up or the strength and get less of a workout. Here I get my full workout whenever I arrive. I also enjoy the community of this gym. Everyone who works out here is very welcoming and friendly. There are definitely those who show up at consistent times. And if you show up at the same time as someone else you get to workout together. The great thing about the natural staggering of people working out is you never seem to have to wait for equipment. Bonus, if you're a pickball player, sports athlete or have strength goals, they will program specific workouts to help you reach your goals. I highly recommend this place. Give it a couple weeks and you'll really see the difference.

The Lord's gym is clean, people are aware of others, and the monthly rate is cheap, but don't let that fool you into thinking the gym lacks what's needed for a daily workout routine. The employees are helpful and friendly. I mention one more thing as it's the most important to me. This gym is not a meat market and as a result, one doesn't often see people socializing around equipment keeping others from using it. If you desire a great environment for a great price, this is your place.

We trained at UPCF for close to 2 years during our stay in Chico. We had a great experience there,…read moreenjoyed the other members, and the coaches/owners. In our time there they added/bought more equipment and improved the facility in other ways I don't want to get into. So these guys are actually putting money back into the gym. They also have a Senior Barbell Club which is a tremendous service to their community. I wish my mom had a place like this to go to learn movement patterns and get stronger! I would only give them constructive criticism: be harder on the community. Demand more from the members. The guys *always* emphasized good position and form during warm-ups and pre-training brief, but these guys are absolute sweethearts and I think they need to dish out a little more bitter medicine to help people get better during lifting sessions.
